me so far, saying yes your card is fine, yes we will call you back, etc. I buy a $2 item from aliexpress as i have done lots in the past. The bank blocks my card and sends the below. Living rural i have poor mobile service & are stuck AGAIN. This is the 3rd time too.
19April. 'As a precaution, we have placed a block on your card. To have the card unblocked and to dispute any transactions, please contact our team using the number provided below. Our representatives are available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM AEST and are ready to assist you.'
My reply is; 'from your trash help, i will be closing this very unreliable account, leaving a bad review after being with boq for 30yrs n seeking another bank for myself and all my business.'
24April*UPDATE: I ask is this a good place to communicate (online banking), they reply yes. I then ask, Why am i being constantly ignored?? This is VERY IMPORTANT. I HAVE NO MONEY, live rural & dont ignore me this time. Look at my 5 un-answered questions i sent, Why am i being constantly ignored?? This is horrible business practices BOQ is conducting ignoring a customer of 30yrs. Your forcing me to bank elsewhere! 24hrs later and no reply to anything now. 25April *UPDATE: No money still, 2hrs call yesterday with their supervisor [Name Removed]. All sort of ID was uploaded to my regret. He said it was now unblocked as of last night, wrong. No message reply either and he said this is not good and would escalate it to the right department. I have NO money for the weekend now as its Friday. 27April. *UPDATE: No money but a message on my online banking; 'To proceed with unblocking your Visa Debit Card, you will need to contact our support team directly.' I called them AGAIN. 1hr later, supervisor [Name Removed] said its fixed and she will call me back in 1hr to check. She didnt call. I call them 2hrs later to have the agent say they cant transfer me to [Name Removed]. NOW WHAT, AGAIN! I have epilespy and dont need this stress, but they said sorry...... NOTE, she did ring me when i was on the call to BOQ, but it said telemarketer spam, so i didnt answer but it was her they said, when I called back 1hr later again, unblocked now. i checked. I got 1 of their 3 complaints they said they would lodge by email. The actual problem was i said to stop a payment, so they stop and block my account soon after. If the agent told me about this option, being my only account and needing food, i wouldnt have done it. What a MASSIVE hassle and stress. I hope BOQ reads this.

my insurance as they reclassified my location as a flood zone. There has never been a flood in my area in the past 40 years & even during the recent cyclone Alfred. They could not tell me why they have classed my area a flood zone. I have now changed banks & so has my family, I am spreading the word to change banks to anyone that I know has account with them.

settlement to the new bank out to 20-21 days so they can suck every last cent of interest out of you then make all these excuses as to why they are taking so long. They act like a spoilt child not getting there way. Do yourself a favour and STAY AWAY

app. Can't use the card in mobile wallet apps until 3 days after activation. Can't see a card transaction in the app until the bank has cleared it - 48-72 hrs after the transaction was made. App doesn't allow PIN or fingerprint login, and doesn't remember your user ID number. On a positive note, the card itself is pretty. I'll be cancelling once I get my bonus points.

Stay away from installmebt plans and the credit card in grl. I tried to cancel the card and there is always a doggy outstanding interest amount that needs to be paid before cancellation. Every day the amount changes.

rate than my own bank ! BOQ were very quick in coming back to me with a Quote and were happy to adjust Rental & Residual Value to suit what I was looking for. Very Helpful The only thing I could say was that I had to pay the first rental on day of settlement, even though my employer (Novated Lease) would be paying them 14 days later, so that was a bit annoying as I now have to chase for reimbursement, but it's only a minor thing

this card to my local Whitfords branch and asked them to cancel my card. To my amazement the teller girl said my BOQ card was actually on sold to Citibank, yes it was marked BOQ, supplied by BOQ but was provided to me by CITIBANK. The teller asked me to go and ring CITIBANK TO CANCEL, I said no it was BOQ as far as I was concerned. So she rang for me and connected me to CITIBANK. They then tried to give me attitude as to cancelling and there may be cancellation charges, really even though I hadn't used it. So Im not impressed with BOQ. 5 years ago they were than bank to die for. Now they are a shell of a company, only 1 teller per branch, poor service and their management have run this once good bank into takeover territory. I still have my smsf fund with them but after todays deception it wont be long before I find another party to house my monies. Very deceptive bank and misleading so if you have a BOQ credit card, ask them who you are contracted too, its probably citibank!! Im so disappointed in their management, user beware!!
