Natures oil looks great – I just recoated my Merbau deck and flyover poles after 7 months. A quick clean with deck cleaner and a couple of thin maintenance coats with… Read more

lambswool and any of the areas that started to look dry are once again like brand new, except maybe better than new as the colours are more vibrant. Natures oil is working well for me.

Best water based product on the market for decking and outdoor timber – Fantastic product that lasts the distance. We use 1000's of litres of this a year in our Sydney deck sealing restoration company and it's the best… Read more

sealer available on the market. If you follow the instruction the results are amazing. Keep in mind though, as with all coatings the finish is only as good as the preparation. Make sure you really give the deck a through clean and even a sand back to bare timber if the deck is rough. Also, match the tint to your existing tint if you're doing a top up so the colour is consistent with any area that might have weathered through. I'd recommend Walnut or Teak for a nice honey colour if you're starting from scratch. 3 thinner coats are better than 2 thicker coats and allow a couple of hours in between drying time where possible. 1 x 10l tin normally does 3 coats on about 50-60m2. If you're applying it in summer use a water based paint conditioner(wet edge extender) and avoid coating after midday or it can be hard to brush out evenly. Remember, your finish will only be as good as your preparation work. Don't rush it.

It goes brown! – The product is described as Ultra Clear. We had white washed our furniture and wanted a surface protectant without yellowing. This is exactly what… Read more

No problems – We used the 2 pack two years ago and in that time no issues at all. The house was rented and they had dogs (unbeknown to us) so I was really… Read more

concerned the dog claws would have damaged the stairs and timber floor, which is Tassie Oak and not that hard. To my pleasant surprise the floors and stairs are still in great shape.

To the person who cant move a mat on their newly finished floor I'd be looking at the floor surface preparation and the coating application. I'm a handy person who got a floor sander in who did a good job and I applied the finish. 3 coats, sanded in between and the timber looks just as good today as it did 2 years ago. No yellowing at all as it's a water based product. We are now building 3 townhouses and are using the same 2 pack on all the timber doors - looking for hardness and durability.

Floor coat peeling off – Sanded floors back to timber removing any existing polyurethane. Allowed minimum 24hrs between coats. Installed 5 coats as I wanted it to last.… Read more

Between each coat, it was lightly sanded and throughly cleaned. (This is not first time I’ve coated timber floors). But this is the first time I’ve used this Product. Looked really good when it was finished. However Coats started peeling after 6 months. Also any moisture in kitchen areas seems to be penetrating coats and is peeling as well. I will need to re-sand floors and use another product. It’s only been 1 year: If you are looking for a timber floor varnish, AVOID this one!

read here to follow up with the ultra prep. It’s now looking good, ready for some oil. Seems a lot of work to go through though, and what I thought would take a weekend has really blown out.

Intergrain Ultradeck Spotted Gum - A spotty deck stain – About 20 months ago, I applied into grain ultra-deck spotted gum oil to around 210 m² of deck. see the photos for the results. I regret not… Read more

researching this product further as the same problem as reported time and time again by other users.

I have contacted customer support twice about this issue, the most recent call was yesterday.

The customer service representative named [Name Removed], suggested I try the product Total8 to remove the remaining patchy stain.

Now this is the interesting part.

I asked [Name Removed] for a money back guarantee if the product does not work. The answer was “no”. In other words, Intergrain does NOT back their own product.

The customer service officer did say that sanding back the deck would work.

Note~ I provided dates and names in this review and I encourage Intergrain to check the telephone transcript.

After another called the help centre same outcome – no product guarantee just another sales pitch.

********** I called the local hardware store and they told me about a product called Cutek. I’ve been provided with free samples and I’ll let readers know how well Cutek works.
