We simply didn't have enough support to have a comfortable sleep. At this stage Harvey Norman and Tempur have refused any refund and claim the mattress is ok.
I'm another who fell victim to the slick marketing. Tempur pillow deflates over 30 to 60 seconds to become a flat piece of sponge giving no support.… Read more
Wonderful though how it returns to shape if no one's head is on it. I was hoping it would give some neck support. Tried to pass it onto my dog but I think he gets too scared as it collapses under him.
Here's an update on my last post. As I reported, sleeping on the Tempur was literally a nightmare. When you first lay on it its fine but over the… Read more
course of the evening the mattress would sink slowly, obviously the heaviest part of your body would sink further than the lightest so you would be sleeping in a curved position. The result was that we would get out of bed each morning with a sore back and having had very little sleep. I was beginning to think that maybe it was old age and the back pain was inevitable. However, it got so bad that, even though it cost a small fortune compared to other mattresses, I threw it away and bought a sleeping duck mattress. The difference is chalk and cheese. I now wake each morning feeling revived and no more sore back.
We bought 2 of these in the new advanced smart cooling design. We explained to the Harvey Norman sales specialist in bedding, that we both have… Read more
injured necks and need good support and we are side sleepers due to the neck issues. We live in QLD and we have a Tempur mattress, so we use very little bedding to keep us from overheating. We were recommended the Tempur Ombracio with advanced smart cooling technology. We were told that there was a 90 day comfort guarantee. We slept with the pillows for 8 weeks, used them as back rest cushions and rolled the pillows repeatedly, ( as recommended by Tempur to activate the cells ) and then gave up on them. They squashed down to nothing when trying to sleep, providing no support for our neck or head. The foam would actually move from one end of the pillow to the other, so we had to keep rotating it throughout the night. We were getting broken sleep due to neck pain and waking up with a stiff aching neck. The smart cooling technology ( which claimed by Harvey Norman on their website, as • Advanced SmartCool technology provides a gentle cooling effect for a consistently cool sleep ) is cool when you touch the pillow with your hand, with no pillowcase protector or pillow case on it, but was no cooler than any other Tempur or other branded pillows that we have had in the past. It’s a gimmick! We called both Harvey Norman and contacted Tempur, to raise our complaints, and were told by both Companies that the pillow is only cold to touch by hand, when bare, and we need to keep using it as a cushion until we then get the comfort we need. We were also told that it would take longer than 8 weeks of sleeping on them for us to adjust to them. And of course the original pitch of a 90 day comfort guarantee, doesn’t exist. Very unhappy that we are now stuck with 2 very expensive back cushions after being repeat Tempur customers of both mattresses and pillows, for the past 11 years.
This pillow has greatly improved my husband breathing. He finds it very comfortable.

various models at other storrs such as PRO, PRO AIR , PRO BREEZE and original Tempur. According to the glossy promotional material ADAPT is their most advanced model manufactured to be extra supportive. We paid nearly $6,000. On the day of the attempted delivery the packaging didn't have the type of the product Which we paid for. We called the Bedshed Caringbah store immediately asking for the product specifications and assurance that we are getting the right product. On the day no supporting paperwork, and no other EVIDENCE was provided . We didn't therefore accept the delivery. Since then we are dealing with the store as they are refusing to refund the money We then reached our to TEMPUR HQ in Melbourne seeking the information about the product and their assistance with the store to give us refund. They've been most unhelpful. They don't accept having anything with the store yet Bedshed is selling their products exclusively! At no point TEMPUR attempted to eliviate our concerns about the product. To date TEMPUR failed to inform about the model of the product, clear specifications, date of manufacture, its origin . If they oversee the sale of Tempur products in Australia they should be first point of providing correct information. But they are not. There was no genuine attempt to assist us with our concerns. It seems customer should just accept what's written in the glossy advertising brochure and paid extremely expensive product without the manufacturer documenting precisely as to the each specific model. As we say we received no full information as to the mattress, its specifications and origin. We have lost confidence in Tempur brand. We lost confidence in Bedshed Caringbah store We are still seeking refund of Our money yet no party us willing to act in accordance to Australian customers protection laws Therefore, under this circumstances, given our poor experience we do not recommend to people to deal with Tempur nor with Bedshed Caringbah store.

designed for side and back sleepers which I thought was suited for me.
I've had the pillow for almost 4 weeks and have followed instructions on how to soften the pillow and that it's foam cells would eventually mould to my neck and shoulders however it still feels like my head is resting against a rock and my neck has constantly in pain every morning ever since I used the pillow so I've gone back to my old pillow instead
Not sure why this pillow has so many great reviews but for me personally, this is probably the worst pillow i have slept on and by far the biggest waste of money I've spent. Unfortunately that I can't get a refund on it either which is disappointing
I've used this pillow now for three weeks and like the previous review, I too found it to be lumpy and thin. (Thinner than the marketing photos, yet… Read more
it's listed as a side-sleeper pillow!) I unzipped the pillow to see why it’s thin and lumpy, and I found a mesh bag with scraps of Tempur pieces inside it. Seriously? I looked to see if I have missed something on the website, https://au.tempur.com/pillows/tempur-down-pillows-AUDOWNLUXPIL.html but I did not see a thickness in the specifications. Tempur responded to the previous reviewer, so I reached out to them via email and asked, "Is there anything that can be done to improve the thinness and the lumpiness?", however they simply said (abridged) " . . . sorry. In order for TEMPUR to assist you further, please return to the store where you purchased your TEMPUR® product and discuss your concerns with the in-store staff. As your product was bought from an authorised TEMPUR stockist, your purchase is subject to the return and exchange policies of that retailer." An AI response?? The photo is the lumpy mesh bag insert, not the full pillow.

night in pain, needing to change position/roll over (need a hip replacement).
When we were mattress shopping, the sales person convinced me to try lying on a Tempur mattress. I didn’t really like the feel of it to start with, as even the firmest one they have has a little ‘give’ in it. I thought it would be too soft for me to sleep on.
However, he convinced me I wouldn’t experience the issues I’d been having on my previous mattress, so I bought one. Guess what? The sales person was right! I am sleeping so much better on the Tempur mattress. It’s also fairly light, so changing the sheets isn’t a problem with tucking under the mattress. I'm not finding it too hot to sleep on either (as a menopausal woman).
We managed to purchase when there was a sale on, which I recommend given their cost. Really glad we bought it, highly recommend!
Worst mattress ever! Ruined my back – I tried the mattress at Harvey Normans in Bennett’s Green near Newcastle and found it so comfortable. As it was on a special offer ($6K instead of… Read more
$8.5K) I decided to take the plunge and bought it. After all, what price do you put on your health and since a good night’s sleep is so important, surely it was worth paying that price? Wrong! I actually ended up paying to ruin my back! The first few weeks were fine. But over the next few weeks I started getting pain in my lower back. It was worse in the mornings. I tried heat wraps, massage, heat rubs etc, but nothing worked. Before this, I was fit and healthy, and did yoga and gym classes regularly. My job is fairly sedentary and thought maybe my sitting posture was wrong. So I invested in an ergonomic chair, changed my routine to avoid prolonged sitting, but nothing worked. I even googled devices to alleviate back pain and invested in some back stretching and support devices. Nothing worked and my pain only got worse. I could hardly walk when I got up in the mornings. Then it clicked. As the pain was worse on waking, could it be the mattress? So I started sleeping in the spare room on a cheap mattress . Straight away I felt my back was better supported. In just one week, the pain got better, and now 3 weeks later I’m completely pain free! Tempur mattress’s are a joke! They provide no support to the body and after a while your back pays the price. People get deluded as the mattress does feel extremely comfortable at first, and probably think that the extra cost is worth it. A few minutes trial in a shop is not enough time to test it. It seems there is a reason why Tempur does not provide a in home trial over a longer period as they would probably go out if business! I don’t normally write reviews, but felt compelled to do this one as I don’t want anyone else suffering like I have. Luckily I worked it out before I permanently damaged my back.
