the head set does not cost 400$!!! Plus if you if you contact tech support you will be bombarded with symbols that promote LGBTQ+ agenda. I’m not sure if this company is about selling products or promoting specific sexuality, specially considering that gaming products are used mostly by kids. So unethical and deceiving. Never again.

AVOID SteelSeries - Cheaply Made and Will Break Just Outside Warranty – BE WARNED - stay far away from SteelSeries products. They are made with cheap materials and are designed to break just outside warranty period. Their… Read more
customer service is appalling and they will not care about your plea, even if it's due to a major design flaw that hundreds of other people have experienced. They just want your money. Expensive products but made on the cheap.
I bought a SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless headset less than 2 years ago. It cost me over $500. It was the more expensive headset I had ever bought, but I justified it as "I'll have this headset for many years, it's an investment". Well here I am, less than 2 years later, and it's broken through no fault of my own. First the 1 year warranty period will go by and everything is great - swappable batteries, good quality audio, good ear cups. But then the cracks start to appear, literally. On both sides it will start to crack near the hinges (as seen in photo). Firstly small, but then they get progressively worse. Then one day - they just snap completely. The earcup detaches itself and is just hanging there loosely by a wire. Effectively useless now.
Upon further research, there are countless Reddit threads of people with the exact same issue. Same cracks, same spots, also around the 2 year mark. Conveniently outside warranty. This is not user error or misuse. This is very clearly a design flaw.
I reached out to SteelSeries about it and referenced the threads of countless other people with the same issue - they didn't care. Very emotionless, generic customer service response - "this is outside RMA warranty period. We can offer you a 15% discount code though" LOL....no thanks. Why on earth would I spend another single cent with you??
Terrible experience. Cheaply made products. Definitely AVOID. Much better and cheaper products out there. Try Razor instead.

Feels cheap, but is anything but – The SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL stands out in the realm of mechanical keyboards, offering a perfect blend of innovative features, customizable options,… Read more
and impeccable build quality. As a tenkeyless (TKL) keyboard, it strikes the ideal balance between compact design and high-end functionality.
I purchased this primarily for gaming, replacing my old Razer Turret XBOX / PC keyboard.
Build and Design: The keyboard boasts a sleek and minimalist design, with a matte-black plastic feeling frame. The TKL form factor ensures a compact footprint, making it ideal for gaming. Everything about it feels well made, but still, in the price bracket this is in, I was expecting more. Maybe an Aluminium edge rather than the lackluster plastic? Dunno, it just doesn't feel like its worth the $500+ price tag. At least with my old Turret, it was heavy and felt well built.
Switch Customization: What sets the Apex Pro TKL apart from its competitors however, is the revolutionary adjustable mechanical switches. Featuring SteelSeries' switches. Users can customize the actuation point of each key, ranging from 0.4mm to 3.6mm in .1mm increments. This level of customization allows for a tailored typing and gaming experience, catering to individual preferences. The magnetic switches are not only innovative but also provide a satisfying tactile feel.
RGB Lighting and Customization: Equipped with customizable per-key RGB lighting, the Apex Pro TKL, the SteelSeries Engine software provides an intuitive platform for users to personalize lighting effects and dynamic keyboard setup. The illumination is vibrant and evenly distributed, enhancing the overall gaming experience. I like being able to customize key by key colour profiles for specific games.
Performance and Gaming: Designed with gamers in mind, the Apex Pro TKL delivers really good performance. The customizable switches prove to be a game-changer, allowing you to optimize keystrokes for specific games or tasks. The N-Key rollover and anti-ghosting features ensure accurate and responsive input during intense gaming sessions. The detachable magnetic wrist rest adds to the comfort, making extended use a breeze. I have not had any issues with it so far, taking into account I have only been using it for about a month.
Connectivity and Portability: The TKL form factor makes the keyboard highly portable, fitting easily into backpacks for on-the-go gaming or work setups. Wireless connectivity works seamlessly.
Conclusion: It is probably one of the most expensive KBs on the market that I know of, and tbh it is a little hard to understand from looking at it why. But when you take into consideration the customizability of the keys I guess you can forgive it. I was lucky enough not to pay anywhere near RRP. If you get a chance to get your hands on one, my recommendation would be, go for it.
Bad value for the price and will last the warranty period only if you are very lucky! – My son was using this head set on his Xbox for 2 years and 2 months, the headset is broken and can no longer be used because of extremely poor… Read more
design, some plastic has broken inside. I paid $360 for this headset and just expected some decent durability for the price, the sound quality is nothing special either. After contacting SteelSeries, they simply told me there is nothing they can do because the warranty period has expired even after explaining that the headset wasn't abused in any way and that the problem is caused by very poor design. I will not buy any of their products again, I got TurtleBeach Stealth 700 Gen. 2 MAX headset for the same price and the sound quality is just great, not to mention the build quality, battery life about 40 hours.
Looks good but poor build quality & reliability let it down – I have been using the Steelseries M800 keyboard along with a Steelseries mouse for about 9 months and will never buy a Steel Series product again.… Read more
The mouse was the first to go after 4 months and now the keyboard is developing faults. It seems a robust build but I have had 2 keys detach from the board that were unable to be fixed. I have asked Steelseries to mail me some replacement keys, but they refused because they do not deliver to Australia!. The backlit keys are nice, but occasionally they will flicker & die and can only be restored by rebooting the keyboard. I have had $10 keyboards easily last more than 5 years whilst this overpriced piece of junk, cannot last a year.
Audio Great BUT Mechanically Weak - x3 Units Failed the Same Way :( – I have used three SteelSeries Pro + GameDAC headsets that ALL failed at the same location being the righthand earcup where the headband frame joins… Read more
the cup. I bought x2 headset, one for me and my son. My son's failed first and JB-HiFi replaced it under warranty BUT ultimately all 3 units failed at the same place. I undertook an inspection of the failure and noted the poor mechanical design. The headband includes an aluminium pivot point with sharp edges which eats into the plastic boss of the earcup. Over a relatively short period of time the plastic boss cracks with the normal use relating to the removing the headset. To the mechanical design team the plastic boss should be of aluminium as joints involving moving metal on plastic parts lead to premature failure. I have included an image of the internals of the black headset and external picture of the white headset highlighting the nature of the failure.
Headsets were purchased for $349 28/July/2019
PRISMCAPS are a great key cap upgrade to your keyboard's existing key caps – I have been looking for pudding/prism key caps for my Corsair Strafe MKII keyboard (see my review here:… Read more
https://www.productreview.com.au/reviews/773447a3-d407-4bd1-8028-2b603ca9ab92 ). I found a few sets that I like but unfortunately, most of them did not have keys in their set to fit the nonstandard bottom row of keys on Corsair keyboards.
So reading a lot of reviews, I found these and saw a number of people had posted pictures and videos of them on their Corsair keyboards.
I purchased the set and they are better than I expected. In that, they were easy to replace, I like the feel of typing on them better than the original Corsair key caps, and while not clear, the translucent bottom of the key caps let an amazing amount of light through. They literally look like the pictures and such on the Steelseries website.
Bonus is they're double-shot PBT so should last a loooooong while too.
There are 2 main reasons for the 4 stars instead of 5, all of which I knew before purchasing them: 1) I wish all the special keys had words/letters on them. For instance, we have "CTRL" on the control keys, but wish they could have put CAPS LOCK, ENTER, SHIFT, and wordings on those keys as well instead of just the symbols. 2) I much prefer the design of the G.Skill pudding keycaps and wish Steelseries had a set with a similar design.
None of the above are show stoppers by any means, but since given the limited choices of such key caps for Corsair keyboards and none meet everything I want, I have to downgrade the rating.
These key caps will also supposedly fit Razer and Hyper-X keyboards, but I can't confirm that.
I am quite happy with their look and performance on my Corsair keyboard, and would recommend them to anyone with a Corsair looking to upgrade.

Constantly failing rgb leds on a top priced Steelseries keyboard Apex pro cost new AUD$389 – After a couple of years my Steelseries Apex pro a high priced Keyboard which still lists at USD$210 on Steelseries website the blue component of… Read more
the rgb individual switches started to fail. Steelseries know of the problem with there top end spec keyboard but wont stand behind the product when approached for extra warranty support. I must have replaced at least 5 rgb leds for the lack of the blue led lighting up on certain switches. Stripping the keyboard down to remove and replace with new leds is both time consuming and costly, luckily i can source compatible rgb leds & replace them myself. Have just had to order another qty 25 rgb leds for my steel Series keyboard Apex pro, due to the continually failing blue led component.
When i approached steelseries not only did they not stand by there product but would not provide me with any spare parts even when i offered to pay for them. I also asked for tech specs of the rgb leds steel series built in to the apex pro only to be told they dont know? Without there support i have managed to find suitable replacement RGB leds as i will not pay the vast premium that the Apex pro costs to replace. I have other Steelseries product such as a wireless mouse and wireless headset all being there top tier models but will not purchase this companies products in the future.
The Apex pro has great features and that's the main reason it was purchased but to buy their top tier product and have so many Blue rgb led failures which really lets down the presentation side of the keyboard stops me from recommending their product.
