ABSOLUTELY ZERO FLAVOUR. Are you even kidding? May as well put some bland, cheap cheese and sauce on thick, edible cardboard. You'd have to be doing it tough and have no standards whatsoever to be a repeat purchaser. Frightening.

Used to be great now there's no filling, very dry and bland with just a bit of cheesy sauce inside. Show details

Love them – I don’t eat them often because of how high fat they are compared to the Aldi chips I buy, big difference, but they taste so incredibly good, that… Read more

once a week or so, I indulge in one.

I like that that they don’t have many ingredients, an issue I had previously and why I never bought any, was because the ingredients were too long and I have a ton of allergies nowadays thanks to the histamine/MCAS stuff.

As per the panel right now they are simply potatoes, oil, salt and dextrose. Whilst dextrose is glucose and so it’s not great for me, it’s better than the 460’s stabilisers and flours/protein powders.

I need as simple as one can get and these are simple enough. I cook them at 160c for around 20-30 minutes in the air fryer, makes them super crunchy and very enjoyable.

The best “frozen” on the market yummiest chippies – These are the best. While they aren’t “thick” cut like you would traditionally expect they are still larger than French fries. I love this because… Read more

the cook more easily than the super thick ones like in Aldi and they also cook more evenly but don’t burn like French fries.

I never cook them to the package instructions. I do 180c for about 40 mins (if you want them to cook faster use the instructions) but I add a few good drizzles of olive oil on the tray and ensure they are coated thoroughly and I find this elevate the chips that much more. These chips also don’t have that weird frozen chip taste. By doing this they taste almost as good as a fish and chip shop and they actually sometimes get those crispy little ends like they’ve been fried. These are the only chips I buy from the supermarket. All the others are gross.

Loved this pizza. I added a dollop of sour cream and mashed avocado to each slice, and sprinkled with smoky paprika, as suggested. This was the best… Read more

pizza experience I've had, and being sourdough was a great bonus too. The only other McCains pizza we can eat is the Angus Beef one, which I always add extra toppings on. All the others have some form of pork on them which we don't eat. Thank you McCains for giving us a second beef pizza. Please keep making this one. The jalapeños were perfect, great flavour and not mouth burning. THANK YOU MCCAINS!!

Super sweet, I'm starting to think the pizza sauce is just ketchup. Enough oil to fuel a small car. Show details

Here’s an alternative to Barry L’s 1-star review! As a single person, I often look for good quality, easily reheatable pre-cooked meals. I… Read more

personally define “good quality” as being a product that’s close to what it says on the can; looks and tastes good; cooks correctly according to its stated instructions; and most importantly, is consistent over time - it’s not sometimes good, but sometimes bad.

I’ve used this product on a regular basis for several years, and find that it satisfies all the above. My only criticism is exactly what Barry L. says - it doesn’t seem to include much actual tuna! But the packaging says that each full serve has 24g of protein, and that won’t come from flavouring only.

Personally, I reheat this product according to its stated instructions, but then mash-in some pieces of cut-up smoked salmon that I purchased separately. I’m happy to do that. So I was originally going to rate this product 5 stars. But I understand Barry L’s concern, and so will drop my rating to 4 stars. Personally I think that 1 star is way too brutal and inaccurate.

dinner for weight loss or weight management. They are low in fat, high in protein. Excellent and one of the nicest out there. You can add more veg or salad if you like but its enough.

Absolutely disgusting sausages. Very fatty, full of grissle and no flavour. Tough skins. Mash has no flavour and is definitely not creamy. Peas okay. Very disappointed as it is nothing like advertised. Show details

processed rolled lamb monstrocity they use now is hardly edible. Its borderline dog food. The veges etc are still the same but d^mn, the meat is horrid and this product should simply no longer exist.

How can someone eat this and consider it acceptable?!

Another instant meal that looks not much like the misleading photo on the box. This meal has sauce and spaghetti which only half fill the plastic tray, and seven 2cm meatballs. At $9.50 (May 2025) it cannot be rated great value.

picture. It was scant on the vegetables and where was the carrot pieces that were so plentiful on the packets picture? Cooked it and I actually found a tiny sliver hidden under the rice, a tiny rubbishy looking bit sitting near a lifeless shrivelled bean. Seriously!? Ok it all tasted ok but my meal looked ridiculous compared to the package. Not sure ill bother again with this one. Ahh McCain.. never again.

Why would McCain sign-off on the release of this product? – What have they done to the pork? Unrecognisable in texture or taste. To use a phrase from another reviewer: Truly disgusting. I had to throw it away after a couple of mouthfuls.

Worse than dog food. I purchased curried Prawns, the prawns were the size of a maggot. No texture, no taste and the meal was just like eatiing scraps of a plate.. No wonder IGA has them on sale. Not an instant meal but more like a plate of vomit

Plain old YUCK. The dough is as dry as anything, tasteless as anything. The filling is atrociously minimal and so tasteless they should be ashamed of bringing this product to anyone. ANYONE! What an absolute waste of money. DO NOT BUY.
