Reolink RLC 410
An IP66 camera which isn't IP66 out of the box – Surprised the cameras do not come with waterproof caps for RJ45 and Reset pigtails. It's like a house without the roof included. RJ45 caps cost extra. Nothing available for Reset. Show details

Reolink Duo 3 PoE
Picture quality is OK. If you want a wide FOV this is good. But the vertical view is shallower than compatible cameras such as the duo 2 PoE. … Read more
There is negligible difference in picture quality despite te 16mp v 4k. . If you want alerts and surveillance attributes, be aware that there is quite a noticeable delay between movement and the camera reacting. I.E. alarm and lights take too long before they activate. The Duo2 PoE is a better solution overall especially for security needs.

them all. My unit is on the first floor and the car is on the ground floor in a shared garage, about 7m parallel to the unit. It was a struggle to find a suitable camera with signal. The service I received was great. Reolink’s process is very good, I told them I wanted to return the camera and through eBay they have an automatic acceptance of the return. The deadline was in 2 weeks time and they messaged me for more information. I told them the issues are that the camera will give me many notifications for the area I blacked out, doesn’t capture the crazy neighbour every time in front of the camera, the battery life is too short and the wifi drops out with solar flares.
Reolink gave me some guidance on what to do however the particular rep wasn’t reading my messages and even though they asked for a video through WeTransfer, they didn’t download it and gave advice without doing so. If the worker reviewed what I was saying perhaps it would have worked out. I liked it very much that their process is to try and help.
The postage was instant. I received it the next day. If you’re feeling nervous about a crazy neighbour then this is a great quick fix.
Unfortunately the drop outs coincided with days where the solar flares peaked and it made me nervous. All the false alarms also made me nervous. The camera came in second with the four that I tried, to a Eufy. The Eufy has less signal but enough to send the videos and stay functional, the camera view angle is a lot wider and higher resolution. The best part is that the moments it captured are incredibly accurate! No false alarms, just people in the space where I want it to capture. For a few days there I thought the crazy neighbour gave up… No, I think the Reolink just wasn’t capturing it. She’s still at it.

years. Cameras took a fair bit of effort to set up, but finally got them working. Have had many false alarms , and no matter what settings I've had they have continued, although of late a couple of diff settings have helped. My 2 biggest issues has been the breakdown of two of the brackets holding the cameras to the house fascia, it appears that the quality of the plastic components are below standard, luckily my supplier replaced one free of charge, however today I see another bracket has broken and is useless. Now my biggest problem 1 camera stopped working about 2 months ago , have done 12 resets , no good, camera is shot, and last week another camera went and resets have done nothing. So 1 camera lasted 30 months and the 3rd almost 3 years. I would have hoped they should have lasted a lot longer than this. My dilemma do I just buy new ones or go different brand.

attached to a centralising system of record.
I use this inside rather than outside and I love how feature rich these things are. This particular camera has a zoomed IN image AND a wide angle image. That way, whatever I focus on, it has two (non digital) streams I can look at before I zoom even further. This is a really cool feature of these dual lens systems. Auto detection and notification, joystick control movement, lights, microphone, speaker, all excellent. I've never had a problem with these camera once I get them onto the network. Network stability has been an issue where I am, but the cameras survive and have no problems keeping on track. I bought SanDisk micro SD's for the camera which are fast enough to record the video constantly. Playback is a breeze as the mobile app is excellent to select this camera, look for the person/pet/vehicle marked video and watch only what's needed.
I will keep buying Reolink cameras of different sorts.

conversation while holding your smartphone 2 metre away from your face. Simply you can't have a two way conversation with these cameras as advertised. If you shout maybe you will achieve enough communication. They only record poor background inaudible audio sounds like a mower or baby crying at full throttle. If you put your face to the camera as you have to do for your smart phone yes you could have a painful conversation, But that is not the audio quality you expect from a camera as - fit for purpose at full volume. You get what you pay for, they are built for a price. Also one of the camera's night vision LEDs have failed as the sensor can't make its mind up whether it's night or day, just continuously flicks on then off . Now you see now you don't. Further another camera goes into a daily reboot spasm with its wild PTZ choreographed dance. The video quality is good but everything else is average. Don't expect to record an audible audio of any value. Also they often disconnect themselves from your router so you need to reconfigure again. Again I say "You get what you pay for." In hindsight i should have paid more & got a Eufy camera or other better quality options.

Good, but there is room for improvement a bug here and there – In short, yes I would recommend this product because it is good value for money with plenty of functionality, but be aware, it has flaws. I have… Read more
been using this camera for 3 months. I use it on my construction site for supervision, security and to make a time lapse video of the build. I bought the optional solar panel with it. Setting it up was super easy as it works on 4G, no network settings apply. Just insert SIM card and you are set to go. Adding it to the Reolink app is also very easy (I already had other Reolink cameras, so I already had app installed). Also worth noting that you can download the Reolink client for Windows ( and I think Apple too ). Use of the Windows client is super easy too. You can also view your camera on your android TV or Chromecast, just ask google to show your xyz camera on xyz device. Picture quality is good, however if you are monitoring a larger area even 2K resolution can be too low. For example you won't be able to read number plates more than 10m distance from the camera. On 2K resolution setting refresh rate varies between a frame every 5 to 60 seconds. On low setting it can be many frames per second but still there will be freeze frames for a second or two. Night vision works well too, however where i'm using it there is plenty of street lights which helps. Even with night vision turned off picture is OK. Motion detection settings are in abundance. Differentiates between person, vehicle, other objects. You can specify minimum, maximum object size, likeness settings to object shape, day and time, PIR sensitivity, and siren. You can also listen in and talk back. It can record to SD card, cloud, send in email, and send push notifications to your phone. I am yet to find an ideal setting when alarms are triggered only when relevant. There is also a siren that you can trigger manually or when motion is detected. You can also listen in and talk back. Time lapse function works well. I had a couples times when it skipped a day though. Motion detection at night must purely rely on PIR sensor IR leds drain battery fast. Battery life. At first I had it set to take 1 picture /minute all day. Battery got drained half way through the night. So if you want to make night time time lapse, it won't happen. However 1 picture every 4 minutes between 6:00 and 20:00 the battery stays pretty much fully charged. I had a copule of time when the solar panel stopped charging the battery. Rebooting the camera remotely has solved the issue and the solar panel resumed charging the battery. My biggest paint point is how slowly the time lapse video downloads from the camera onto my devices. A 1 and a half minute video takes 5-10 minutes to download (40 Mb on lowest resolution).
Pros: Low cost Rich in features Very easy initial set up With daytime use only battery stays always almost full
Cons: Very slow download speeds Bugs crawling Alarm settings fiddly Night time use drains battery in no time

very good in daylight the night time vision is poor. Anything further away than 6 meters the figure is not identifiable. The sensitivity is annoying as the slightest movement even when the sensitivity is set to below half it picks up the slightest movement from a leaf on a shrub. Regardless of what I do the unit will not send email alerts to my email address. There is no fine tuning this camera unlike some of the cheaper models of different brands such as Human shape detection, and of course remote rotation of the view. Overall I'm most disappointed in this model considering it is twice the price of another brand I have but no where twice the quality. I am convinced that if you want a security camera to operate well during the night you are better of purchasing a stand alone infared light to compliment the security camera regardless of what brand you buy, the cameras infared is no where good enough.

started to fail. Just went dead (model P334).
Reolink were very good to replace each camera, one by one, with a different model, RLC-810A.
Before they all failed we returned the whole system back to Costco and bought a Swann, which we previously had. Im sure there are still better brands to choose, but we were more comfortable with Swann as we had no problems with them before. We were only upgrading to 4K.
Family members also bought the same Reolink system we that we did and they too failed.

wiped out the reception in Band 3 (175 to 220 MHz). I then moved the camera to under my Starlink panel. There it would operate normally until it got cold at night and would then go into a rotate, pan up and down, focus and then chime, wait a bit then repeat over and over. I tried camera resets, rebooting the NVR to no avail. Same problem, run for a few hours, lose video and go into a power up loop and chime over and over. I checked the cable with a fluke network cable tester from work, which tested okay. I purchased another RLC-823A and mounted it in the same spot. I just didn't work at all. I ran one of Reolink's 18.5 metre grey network cables to the new camera as a temporary measure and fault finding, and had the same result. I have since returned that camera hoping for a refund. I then put the original RLC-823A back under the Starlink panel but placed a 30W POE injector between the NVR and the RLC-823A thinking it was a power issue as there are 6 x RLC-811A on the same NVR but had exactly the same problem. I then removed the camera from my remote shack and bought it back home and temporarily connected it to my home NVR RLN8-410 and 4 x RLC-811A cameras with the same 30W POE in line and it ran for about 20 minutes before video was lost and the camera went into the same repeating power up loop. I then reset the RLC-823A camera, rebooted the NVR and just connected it straight to the NVR with one of Reolink's 18.5 metre grey network cables. It then ran for about 14 hours before it lost video and went into its annoying chiming loop in the middle of the night. Very annoying having to get up, get dressed and access my roof space to remove the camera.
I am now hoping to return this faulty camera for a full refund. I am $20.05 out of pocket from the last return, not to mention hours of fault finding, repeatedly climbing ladders, heaps of cable ties and sealing tape and out of patience with this product.
