Don’t waste your money – Was looking for a more premium lawn mower than your average run of the mill Bunnings Victa. This lawnmower was a massive let down, you would think… Read more

with Swedish heritage it would be excellent, however this was no better than the cheapest petrol mower you can buy at Bunnings for a quarter of the price.

Issues:

- catcher did not catch properly dropping bits of leaf and grass - catcher hard to put on - seemed to lack power and struggle over thicker sections of lawn (my lawn not long or thick).

No refunds once used, so now I’m stuck with it…

After only 70 hours of mowing the deck broke off. The whole thing was coming apart - cracked in multiple places. They wouldn't fix it under warranty. Poor quality deck - far too thin. Do not buy. Show details

Worst mower I've owned – The handle starts to deteriorate within the first few uses. The "H" logo on the front of the mower begins to peel quickly Wheel bearings have died… Read more

after 18 months of casual domestic use Husqvarna refuse to honour any warranty repairs on the product - the fine print on this is deep within their warranty page. I really expected that for $609 I was purchasing a quality product. I've found my past Massports & Victa mowers to be substantially better built.

mower. I Decided to go with a reliable brand & also support i local business & bought a Husqvarna mower. I have had it a couple of months now & I love how it is easy to start just push controller to run & pull the cord no turning on the petrol tap, No priming of the fuel. The 4 blade system is good as well cuts better than the victa that only had 2 blade. It also much quieter than the Victa. It easy to push & seem to mow the lawn quicker than before. So far no complaints with it.

The ‘Under-the-Radar’ Heavyweight Pros: * Genuine petrol-level torque and suction Heavy-duty steel deck with stacked dual-blades 3-in-1… Read more

included (catcher, mulch plug, and side-discharge) – no extra "Husky tax"

Dual-battery bay with auto-switch

Cons: * Confusing "40V MAX" marketing

It's heavy (but that's the trade-off for the steel deck)

Don't let the "40V MAX" stickers fool you—that's just Yank-speak for their high-torque gear. Under the hood, this is a standard 36V machine that runs perfectly on your existing Aussie Husqvarna batteries (it absolutely hums on a pair of BLi300s).

If you’re wondering why you can't find this beast on the main Husqvarna Aussie website, it's because it's a special import from their US "MAX" line. They slip it straight into Elite Dealers and places like Total Tools to go head-to-head with the big red and green battery brands in the prosumer space, leaving the standard plastic mowers for the regular local dealerships.

If you’re tossing up between this and the standard residential models, the difference is night and day. This thing is built like a tank. It runs a stacked dual-blade setup, which means it actually has the lift and suction to mulch thick, wet grass without bogging down or leaving clumps everywhere.

The biggest bonus? Husqvarna usually taxes you for every little extra, but this actually comes fully loaded right out of the box—catcher, mulch plug, AND the side-discharge chute are all included. It's got a dual-battery bay with auto-switch, so you aren't stopping mid-job to swap packs, and it folds up to stand vertically in the ute or shed. If you want petrol-level torque with RWD self-propulsion on a battery platform, this is an absolute ripper of a machine.

mowing and over 1500km. It is mowing around 5000m2 with ease. This is probably the best mower I've ever owned because it is totally automated. Grass always looks neatly mowed and I have it set to mow in lines. No issues other than losing a couple of blades when it hit an irrigation box. Also, lost satellite contact a couple of times but mower automatically reconnected and continued as usual. I would highly recommend this product. Absolute time saver for me.

The Husqvarna LB 448iV Electric Lawnmower is an excellent mower overall, although a couple of engineering decisions let an otherwise great product… Read more

down. I’m still giving it 5 stars, because after a year of ownership it has performed perfectly — once I implemented a few engineering modifications.

The main issue is the very thin, lightweight plastic covers on the inner side of the wheels. Debris can easily damage these covers, which then allows material to enter the wheel drive mechanism and cause it to lock up. This happened to my unit after only four uses. In my view, this is a poor design choice that Husqvarna should review, as it risks undermining the brand’s reputation for quality.

As shown in the attached photos, I permanently solved the problem by bonding a 3 mm reinforced rubber mat to the replacement plastic covers. The rubber absorbs and distributes impact forces, preventing debris from penetrating and protecting the drive mechanism.

I also redesigned the centre-pivot handle attachment, replacing it with a more traditional folding handle design. This change significantly reduces setup time and makes the mower much easier to transport and store.

Pros

Excellent mower overall with plenty of power

Easily handles a medium-sized lawn with battery capacity to spare

Great cut quality and excellent mulching performance

Cons

Weak inner wheel protection due to thin plastic design (can be improved with impact-resistant reinforcement)

Awkward centre-pivot handle design, which makes transport and storage more cumbersome than traditional folding handles (modifiable, see photos)

great job on the grass, with a comfortable seat and a good turning circle. However, original equipment screws constantly come loose, and on one occasion caused a plastic guard to fall off and get damaged, which was replaced under warranty by the dealer. Two nuts locked together, NOT Nyloc nuts, holding up the front cutting deck fell off, so there was no height adjustment control, and again parts were replaced by the dealer. The steering wheel became loose and had to be re-secured. The same original screws holding on that plastic guard came off again, and this time were secured with a tek screw, so fingers crossed that will fix the problem. Overall in such a short time, this mower has been disappointing as far as quality control is concerned. I did my research, but still I am not happy.

I have returned the mower to them twice and left it with them for several months and they cannot get it too work correctly. They have the worst service and customer relations possible. I paid $18,000 for this unit that would enable my wife to mow lawns which she loves. Having endured 5 back operations through her life we wanted a mower that would pick up grass and mechanically dump the grass. No Lifting required! What a joke, it can barely mow and certainly cannot collect grass clippings. It just sits in our shed reminding me every day what an idiot I was to trust Husqvarna
