actually was. As they were in my house for a supposed free quote that they then told me they were going to charge me for, I felt pressured into accepting and getting the work done. All I can say is I feel completely ripped off after subsequent research. Dont make the same mistake I did. I will never use Mr Antenna again. When they called for feedback a couple of hours later I gave them this feedback and they really diddnt seem to care that they were grossly ripping people off. Given their responses to other reviews ive read im expecting them to hide behind their policies and avoid changing towards doing the right thing.

was fitted back in 2013. He came out today (6/11/25) and has just completed an test and upgrade to our TV reception at Minto. In the past 5 years we have had some 2 story homes built across the road, which is blocking out TV reception caused to much static interference on normal channels, 7, 9, 10 & 12.
Jamie came out got on the roof with his meters, tested the signals at out antenna and TV and found them wanting.. He hooked up a Hills UHF Antenna and tested for best signal and roof location. Then he did the same with a VHF Antenna and found that was the solution. So he installed a new antenna mount in the best roof location and hooked up a new Hills Black Arrow VHF Antenna. Then tested both TV outlets in the house and showed me the meter results.
If you are looking for a great local expert in this field, you can't go wrong calling Jamie Diaz at Macarthur Antennas. I highly recommend his expertise, professionalism and quality workmanship to anyone.

the work promptly in late December 2024, very soon after we contacted them. Previously, we had problems with pixellation on free to air TV, as well as being unable to get some of the free to air channels (such as SBS 33, SBS Viceland etc. because these channels had recently upgraded to Codec MPEG-4, which our oldish TV-DVD combination couldn't handle). We needed a new aerial which wasn't surprising since it hadn't received much attention for over 25 years (one replacement over 10 years ago). We already had a Full High Definition TV (1920 X 1080 pixels, Panasonic) dating from 2009 so getting a new antenna from Phil & Tony gave us an excellent picture in Full HD without the need to buy a new TV. We did need to get a Full HD Set Top Box (Blaupunkt, $49 before discount, from JB HiFi) to enable us to get the SBS channels 33, Viceland etc. and a few other channels we couldn't get before. Separately, we also got an External Hard Disk Drive and attached it to the Set Top Box, for recording and viewing at a later date. It's probably worth mentioning that we don't watch much TV, so we weren't interested in updating to a Smart TV or getting into Streaming in a big way. We did want to get the best picture we could from our existing Full HD TV and extend its life. Phil & Tony were professional and a pleasure to deal with. Obviously, they did all the testing on the old aerial & after installing the new aerial, to confirm that signal strengths with the new aerial were all excellent. Bonus points for taking away the old aerial for metal recycling!

Ben was able to come out, identify issues we knew we were having with our system and come up with a variety of solutions to get it where we wanted it to be.
Turned out the company that setup our initial system unfortunately took us for a ride, but being productive Ben invited us to investigate the options he proposed, research it and come up with our own thoughts on them and get back to him at our own pace without upselling which we really appreciated.
The system we went with fixed most of our problems (unfortunately can't remove trees which Ben was able to forcecast were going to be a huge problem during winter due to shadowcasting) and he did the best he could with a bad situation we have here, as well as leaving us the ability to upgrade the system later including adding a battery.
We've now had the system installed for a bit and it's working great, the live monitoring app is unfortunately not great but that's due to the company running the app and not BJ Energy, who have done a great job with after care.

Koorosh assessed the best signal position for the replacement antenna and installed the new antenna with additional bracing for the high wind area I live in. That was 10 days ago…obviously they did not want the job because it was either too small or too messy but had neither the decency nor courtesy to inform me. Disappointing in the extreme. Jims Antennas came and replaced it the same day I called, with no fuss, no stress. Much better customer service.
