ALDI Stirling 40cm DC Motor Pedestal Fan Questions & Answers
VerifiedWhat voltage is the cable
240
Hi I purchased an aldi wall fan last year. I had an electrician install it according to instructions. It’s just stopped workin for no apparent reason. As it’s wall mounted, it does not come in contact with anything at all. When I use the remote, the light on fan’s control illuminates, so power is definitely getting to it, however, the blades don’t turn at all. Can you advise if you’re aware of any issues with it and if it’s a simple fix. As it’s wall mounted, I’m unable to remove without an electrician, so best outcome would be to repair insitu if possible.
Cheers Suzie

Hi Janet, Thank you for your enquiry. If you could please provide the model number of the unit, we can look into this for you. It is usually alpha-numeric (numbers and letters). It should be on the back or bottom of the unit, as well as on the front cover of the instruction manual.

AC Adaptor has stopped working, we have two fans same model and date and tried the adaptor from second fan and all works well, were can i get the adaptor repaired or replaced. Purchased 10/2021 regards
Power is connected but It is not working why?
When powered up an illuminated blue LCD display appears on the stem of the fan. To power get the fan running you can either press the "on" button in the centre of the stem. Or, after making sure you have correctly inserted fully charged batteries into the remote (the correct way around) then you can power up using the remote.
Of course you first have to make sure your 240v power socket is good (try another fixture to confirm). If so then you may then need a good extension lead (depending on how far from the 240v wall socket you locate the fan).
You have to use the specific DC adapter that comes with the fan. You can't use just any DC adapter.
Possibly 1 in 100 have a fault of some sort such that the fan does not work at all.
However, usually the set up problem is human error, and not the fan.
I may have been a little puzzled when first setting it up. However it has been excellent since and is quietly keeping me cool and comfortable at the moment. By miles best fan I've owned.
Good luck.
remote and control panel on the pedestal has stopped working. no response. fan working on speed no.1 only. what shall I do. bought from Aldi last year.
Maybe fresh batteries in the remote might work. Maybe switch off and disconnect from mains power then plug back in and start up again (like a reboot). Check buttons on control panel to see that none are stuck in depressed position. Fortunately speed no.1 is much better than being stuck in speed 15 imo.
Did u keep receipt. Do u have warranty information from purchase.

where can I purchase a stirling
Putting together the fan which went ok until I try a attach the front guard. For the life of me I can not attach the guard ring. Is there a trick to doing this??
I cannot answer you without seeing a photo. Suggest you ring the Aldi support line for help.
Hi Mike, In terms of attaching the guard ring for this product, the manual explains as follows: The front and rear guard are held together with a guard ring, which has two grooves, one for each of the guards. Slightly loosen the large screw at the bottom of the ring and ensure the edge of the guard sits in the appropriate groove, all around the rear guard. Then fit the front guard against the rear guard and ensure that the edge sits properly in the other groove. Retighten the screw to secure the guards together.
If you are still unable to attach the guard ring, it might be best to contact our after-sale support centre for advice (1300 112 534) on this issue.
If you do need any further assistance please don’t hesitate to contact us on 1300 112 534 on Monday to Saturday 8:30am – 6pm.

How does it run through Wi Fi and Why ? What makes it better than a different old fashioned Styles Pestistill Fans ??? Could you pls explain??Thankyou kindly Kathy
No idea how it runs through wifi. I plug the fan I have into the electric socket.
Lol well that's no help to me but thanks anyways
WIFI via your mobile is another way in controlling the fan. Like a remote. But the App can do much more with the fan. For example, you can schedule the fan to turn on for a limited time at night and turning itself off after running when you have been asleep for 4 hours into the night. There are hundreds of sensors & others, (smart home things) that you can control like your TV combining watching TV - linking and turning the TV on with the fan. Turning off TV and shutting fan off. Turning fan on for your pet while you are shopping because it's gotten extremely hot in the house. Having the fan respond to movement sensor whilst in the room or a temperature sensor at elevated temperature telling the fan to turn on. Etc etc. Best of all you have a graphical remote control of the fan on your mobile making it extremely easy to use the unique features of the fan. It is a SMART HOME product you can choose to use or ignore. Check your Bunnings Stores Smart Home area for Connect, Arlec, Google and Alexa, Kmart, Mirabella, Beacon Smart Lighting and more.... If you have a Google Smart Speaker OR Alexa Smart Speaker, these you can control the fan by VOICE command, but you must own a mobile phone. It's inbuilt WIFI based Smart Home capability is compatible with Hundreds of Smart Home interactions & devices. In fact, most WIFI Aldi products ARE COMPATIBLE with this Smart Home. It is called TUYA and it is a universal standard in Smart Home right now. I have over 120 devices in my home and yes, I own this Fan and it links to these Smart Home devices. CONFUSED: See the Bunnings Smart Home Centre at all stores to get a better idea.
