Will anytime fitness refund my gift card if it has passed the expiration date
An unwanted membership is being transferred to my name. How come the FOB key (of that same club i am joining) cant be transfered along with the membership?
Why are Personal Trainers being used for unpaid personal training sessions. Advertising join and get 2 free pt sessions and yet the trainers are paying you rent to work there. Seems a bit odd
Hey Andrew, thanks for reaching out. Please contact our Member solutions team at <membersolutions@anytimefitness.com.au> with the club name and we will be able to look into this for you.
Almost every club
Why are we still paying fees when we can’t use the gym because of lockdown
You would only have been charged for 2 weeks as the lockdown was only supposed to last for 14 days. Most franchises will credit your membership when they reopen
Why are we still paying our fees when we can’t use the gym
Why are we paying even though you’re closed
I lost my gym tag does anyone know how much A replacement fee is
There about $100. You can have mine for $50 and get it reassigned to.you.
Guarantee they will fail to reassign the fob.
I got ripped off by them 9 years ago and they told me fob/key was mine to keep. About a year later I came across it and smashed it with a hammer! Boy it felt good :)
I want to join mount druitt branch anytime fitness. Has anyone been to that branch? What was your experience?

Hi Ernest,
Thanks for reaching out.
Please contact our customer service team at <customerservice@anytimefitness.com.au> or on (02) 9415 5300 during office hours with the club name & your membership number and they will be able to assist you.
How did you go Ernest B.? Could you do that?
It's "ANYTIME" fitness. You can go outside of work lol
Anyone else considering a lawsuit? Class action?
It simply isn't acceptable to conduct businesses this way. Its under handed, misleading and ultimately designed to be unfair for the consumer. Im sure if it got in front of a magistrate it'd be a matter of minutes before they sided against anytime. Just look at all these stats - of 505 reviews average score is 1.8? That doesn't just mean you're upsetting some of your clients... that means you're upsetting damn near all of them and i, for one, expect better from something approved by the ACCC to legally charge money.
And imagine how many hundreds of thousands of extra dollars they get every year because of their dodgy loopholes. Money that could have been kept by citizens who would use it to stimulate the economy. Instead its sitting in some small business owners bank account doing SFA for anyone but the business owner. And its not like he deserves the money. The guy at Epping is barely ever there and when he is hes completely unapproachable, locking himself in his office. Disgusting.
Just today, I was studying ACCC website to understand how to at least put a complaint against this dodgy business...You can not steal from people and run the business as usual!
It seems that there are some other people thinking about it in other countries at least: external link
They're horrible
What loopholes? Every detail is in the contract which apparently no one reads. Maybe read a contract before you sign it l. If you don’t agree to the terms and conditions in the contract don’t sign it! No one is forcing you! It’s that simple
Yes, I am. I consider COVID and my immunity issues a Force Majeure (superior force), which should allow me to get out of the contract, but have just been fobbed off like everyone else... meh
No Kate, no. When a contract clearly states the payment deductions are to commence on a particular date and for a particular amount which payment is then deducted on a different day with an overdue amount (funds have been in the account the entire time and zero deductions were made legally proven with bank statements), the contract is therefore breached and nullified by the business franchisee and holder of lthe currenr business licence. In this case, Anytime Fitness. It's contract law - and I have a wealth of experience in contract law. The ACCC and Consumer Affairs are also rather adept with contract law.
Not really a question but more of a statement to help those battling anytime. Best option if you want to stop these clowns taking money out of your account when you don't want or charging ridiculous cancellation fees, report your card as stolen that they are debiting. They will no longer be able to charge your account and you can just ignore their chase ups rather than trying to chase them up :)
I'm curious, does this not breach the contract and come back to bite you? I just recently signed up for this gym and now I'm full of regret and not sure what to do
Great advice to ensure a Debt Collection agency starts chasing you and your credit rating is affected. Well done Paul!
During Government shutdown of Anything Fitness gyms are deductions still being taken from members?
GoodLife aren't......not sure about Anytime Fitness....I would think it's illegal to debit funds in this situation.
Yep. They haven't missed a beat when it comes to their monthly deductions from my account. Now isnt that an impressive bit of dedication? Shame they don't show the same level of dedication towards actually offering a decent product or experience, but you can't win em all I guess ♂️
do you have smith machine
What is Smith machine ?
It Machine for leg squat. I have knee injury, no use barbell.
is there someone I coud call
Call a gym ffs
no
I am currently in a membership at anytime and was wanting to cancel but told I have to wait until the end of my contract which isn't until February and I can't pay a cancellation fee. Was wondering if anyone has been in the same boat as me and any advice on what I can potentially do to get out of my contract?
If you are under contract you can pay 50% of the remaining balance to end the agreement!
They have charged me a tailgate fee (without even an email or receipt) for someone who came into the club to MEET STAFF, then left on realising that staff were not there. I called the centre, they were very aggressive and rude, and the headoffice does not pick up. Apparently I was a criminal for breaking the law, and that was the fine for that. Anyone know how I can get it back?
Take them to the ombudsman
Thanks. I cancelled my membership and enrolled with a local gym. Not the same equipment, but the staff are friendly and nice. When I said that I was going to speak to head office, they responded offhandedly "good luck with that". After taking the matter right to the top, and complaining to their support line (for both of which I did not receive a reply), surprise, surprise the offhanded one calls and eats humble pie.... eventually I got the money back (and i mean eventually)
Does anyone know how much personal training sessions cost at Anytime Fitness Wynyard and/or Alexandria? Thanks
Are under eighteen year olds allowed to work out
Yes to 16 and 17 but only at approved clubs . there is a list. On the net of approved clubs.
When you freeze your contract to go overseas do the charge you to do that?..which wasn't explained by the manager of the club.
There is a $2.50 per week freeze is some cases. Better than paying for the full month! However, it depends on your club.
You may freeze your membership twice for 3 months in a 12 month period without charge. If you freeze longer there maybe $2.50 per week charge

Can a 14 years old boy go to anytime fitness to do workout with parent?
Some Anytime Fitness clubs are under 18 approved. However, the minimum age is 16.
