I have an austral robot cleaner RPB that is only 3 years old, it only last a few minutes then stops. I have checked the propeller and working and cleaned out the filter, there is no debris stuck there.

Hi I have a pandora smart cleaner I have just replaced the drive belts but when I turn it on it start then stops and turns itself off. The belts look like they are slipping is there something else I need to replace.
I am facing exactly the same problem. Have done lot of troubleshooting, but of no benefit. It seems the timings of the unit has been changed and needs to be reset, as it runs for a minute or for short distance then stops. Will appreciate input into this
Looking for instructions to replace a pandora smart pool cleaner handle. Do we need to remove all side panels to insert the pin that is part of the spring mechanism?

Can you help with this problem? My Pandora smart runs up and down or side to side in the pool ok and does never about but in a few minutes I find it traversing the deep end which is in the middle of the pool or it runs up and down one side. Can it be adjusted?
Hi Rozey, Thanks for your inquiry. The only adjustment that can be made is the movable handle. Push down on the handle lock mechanism all the way to the end on both sides for example. Replace worn brushes to ensure maximum cleaning performance. Clean the propeller. Take out the screws from the outlet top, take out the outlet top and remove any hair or other debris around the propeller.

Hi Benno, The propeller may be broken or seized and the filter may be full. You can try soaking the filter in a water and detergent mix for 30 minutes and then gently scrub the surface from the inside. in regards to the propeller, if you are handy with a screwdriver, you can remove the top screws on the outlet to check if the propeller needs cleaning.

The fan on the unit spins and then the rollers move back and forth a few times, then it shuts itself off. Belts seem ok. Grey rollers are looking worn. Any ideas?
Hello, Our propeller became caught with string and the three pieces broke off. I have removed the broken pieces. If I turn the machine on now, nothing happens and it powers off within 20 seconds. Is it likely that the motor has seized due to the jam or is it worth replacing the propeller? I can’t see anything pumping or moving when I turn it on. Thanks

Thank you. Was your unit still working with the broken propeller? My unit is not moving or pumping water so I think the motor might have seized due to the caught propeller.
It was a while ago. I don't think the propeller would cause the other motor to seize. Turn the unit upside down (with the power off and unplugged from the controller), then rotate the rollers by hand, this should rotate the motor. If they turn freely but you can't hear the motor belts may be worn. If it feels stuck motor may be seized or just stuck.

Hi Anthony, check if your "fan" is intact, please as the fan may have broken or worn. If that is ok turn it upside down and have a look to see if the drive belt is worn. You may need to replace the drive belt. Let me know once you have done these two things, please.
I have checked both and they both seem ok where do I go from here
My Pandora Smart is blowing dirt out of the top filter. Why would this be? Filter bag is clean.

It usually means that your filter bag is loose, as they get older they don't fit as tight.
My unit is switching its self off after 30 seconds My unit is clean nothing is out of place This is my second unit in 8 years

Spalshesonline has them, they are $14.50 each, (you will need two) better value from them, part number 3302.

My Pandora Smart cleaner will not start, or move. It is not the control unit as I have tested it on another Pandora Smart cleaner and it works well. When the it is turned on at the control unit the blue indicator stays on (fixed light)for approx 5 seconds, then flashes quickly until the power is removed from the control unit. I believe one of the motors is faulty.But which one? Allen
Hi AllenG I think what happens is that most people have not used the cleaner over winter, which means all the rubber parts tend to get hard. The first things to look at are the drive belts as if they are hard and not functioning, the whole machine stops. Let me know how they are, if the are fine then check the propeller as this may have become brittle and broken. Let me know pls.
Sorry, also check the pool cleaner tracks as they may have gone hard and are not functional.
The cleaner was working ok last week. I still use my cleaner during the winter months.

Hi Craig, how old is your machine? Check the “fan” that it is not broken, also the pulleys May be slipping due to age and you need new ones. Especially if you have not used it for a while.
My unit fan goes for about 30 seconds stops then unit goes forward a meter then back ametre for about 4 gos then shuts down power unit ? Any ideas thanks Steve
Hi Steve Take it out of the water and switch it off. Then check that you can freely move the rollers and they are not worn, make sure the drive belt is not worn or has a flat piece on it. It could be slipping and then will switch off. Try those two things and let me know if they are working fine pls.
