BGC ROYALLY SCREWED ME OVER. plus my mortgage for 4 years and they still have the audacity to give me a $10000 price increase because they got greedy and took on to many jobs. bgc has promised the world but instead they have royally screwed me over. I have joined the class action lawsuit along with over 1000 other people. see you in the court room you absolute flog of a building company.
Stay Clear – Easily the worse decision we made choosing to build with ALH. Once you progress to construction stage expect the nightmare to start, nothing but delays and generic emails. Almost two years since we signed contracts and we only got our bricks completed in March. homelessness with three children because I was constantly telling my landlord YEP shouldn't be too far away and he got sick of waiting and put his property up for sale, Then we were given 30 days to find a new place in the current rental crisis, Thankfully i am a property manager and secured a rental that are happy for us to be in until our home is complete. WE SHOULDN'T OF BEEN PUT IN THIS STRESSFUL SITUATION!! We should be in our own home like we were promised within the 12 months like we were promised when we signed the dotted lines ! Yet two years since we have started this process and we don't have a roof on!!
Our house has been sitting in the same position for 4 months possibly longer. (Have supplied a photo)
Then I read about people who are building through them are either moving into their homes or at lock up stage.... and they signed up 8/9 months after us ! Someone even 12 months after us and they have moved I'm already !!
Then I see you have been able to build a fancy display home when you have got customers sinking in financial stress due to your incompetence.
Non of the "delays" are our fault, invoices from the bank are paid within 48 hours of being issued.
Yes we have an outstanding variation bill to be paid off but I'm not paying anything because the delays are not caused by us at all.
I am extremely nice and very understanding when corresponding with the administrator's. In fact [Name Removed] our contracts administrator is the only good thing going for your company. I hope you don't loose her from all the pressure and lies she has to cover for you.

Beautiful road banksia Grove – Hand over key the most exciting moment. My builder Louise Bryan was so helpful with the process of the loan though she left the company before construction was finished, I really enjoyed her company. Dreams Do Come True – We originally went to another builder who did not want to know us after we had finance problems and never contacted us again and then we contacted Aussie Living. Our process did take a little longer and was 2 years in the making due to our finance problems, but we never gave up as we had a dream which we wanted this to come true, and we never lost… Read more · 1

Sales Consultant was excellent he reached out to us and we advised him of a finance problems and tried to assist us best as he could and pointed us in the right direction after a few months to try get these sorted, and to our surprise we got calls to see how we was going and he also followed up like he said. We finally got there and on our face to face meeting he had plans of house's already and had an idea on what we wanted exactly, at this point we knew that we was dealing with the correct person and signed plan that day. Before Prestart meeting we had to go chose our tiles and this did take some time as the variety and was so great which made it so hard we took over half a day to do this.
Pre Start Consultant Dennika was excellent we had our appointment in the new Aussie Living office location, we explained everything that we wanted done on the house and was able to assist even made some suggestions which was very helpful, we was very surprised by all the items on display and this made it so easy to select. Variation's was supplied quickly the same day and communication's was great as well.
Construction this was occurring during Covid and to be honest we thought the logistic side of things may have made it a little impact and made it a little more difficult which was to be expected, we also had a change in Construction Consultant and Supervisor during construction after this change the communication's was great. With both of these issues it may have contributed to couple issues, a lack of communication at start was a big problem and due to this we missed having a onsite meeting during bricklaying, next issue was Cabinets the one we choose we got told that they was not available and would be a delay on this. We could hold off and wait or we could choose something else and or look at upgrading to another design free of charge because this was not available, we ended up taking upgrade. All works onsite has been great quality and is exceptional workmanship and care gone into the build, as we live less then 10min away from our build we have managed to capture the build step by step and has been great watching this.
To all the Team at Aussie Living we thank you for looking after us and we will look forwarded to finally moving into our dream home in the next few weeks.
With the minor issues and during tough times I would still be recommending Aussie Living for anybody planning on building a home and If I was to build another home I would be choosing Aussie Living again.
Should be more than 5 stars! – We are really satisfied building was so exciting and quick, its like about 4 months and we didn't even notice that here we are moving already to our brand new home! Our client liaison officer Su is really nice and friendly, she keep us updated with the progress every week. We didn't have any problems with them at all and we're really happy with the outcome. Construction delays, Price Increase without sufficient justification, customer's increase breakdown request ignored! – My building journey started OK during the pre-construction stage, though there were many delays. Things have gone a lot worse in the construction phase. The contract was signed in June 2021, and only got a slab down April 2022!. seeing builds right around mine having progressed much quicker really hurts me.
However, what annoys me most is the price increase that they just issued. I requested a breakdown of this back in 13/04/2022, until now it has not been responded to, but they issued the price variation anyway and asked me to sign it (more than 5% of the contract price). This is not transparent and acceptable.
When i called to follow up with the request, nobody picks up the phone. I am feeling as if I am being scammed and left in the dark. They just issue the price increase and then ask you to sign it or leave it!
I would not build again with kind of service provided by Aussie Living Homes.

2 years in and still at slab stage – It's just taking so long and no one seems to care. They just ignore you. I wait around 5 weeks for a reply to an email at times. Slab has been down for 10 months now. Promised start date for bricks have been and gone 10+ times. I know how things are in the industry just now. But other projects are moving along. there are 20ish other houses in my estate and the majority are complete and moved in. All lots titled at same time.
My block is small - 207m2 3bed 2 bath double garage in munster. Half of my house is a garage. I'm paying around $3000 a month right now for mortgage repayment, rent, bills for two places. It all adds up, especially when the build process blows out years. I'm still waiting on them telling me how much my variation will be.
Pre construction team was good. The process for me went downhill at construction. I've had at least 3 construction managers. never spoke to any of them. The construction supervisor I have now is good but she doesn't respond half the time.
I will never build again after this process. It's a nightmare.

We experienced this firsthand by seeing our supervisor onsite at certain progress stages, while he was doing everything possible to get the house built quickly but also with minimal errors. responsive like wow. She has added a personal touch to my journey and i LOVE that and wouldn't have wanted anyone else with me along the way. I have gone through a couple of supervisors but my current one is an absolute JET! Ever since he was assigned to my build it has absolutely flown and he makes the effort to take pictures regularly and upload to my portal for me to see. When i provide information to my CC like when my water meter was leaking he went out there the next day and fixed it ! He is very onto it and i am so glad he is on my team !
Some people will bad mouth the name BGC on Facebook and what have you but don't listen to all of those people... they are just impatient and grumpy and want something to complain about. We are all waiting for our houses and some of them signed after me too i notice ! I have hired an independent building inspector who has checked every stage of my build and he has been very satisfied with the work performed on my build and stated its been one of the better ones compared to others he has seen! Yes there were some issues with my roof frame & minor in plate height but they were fixed in a jiffy and passed !!
In my opinion, yes it has been tough at times but it so rewarding in the end and your construction consultant is there to help you and support you so don't take any of your frustration out on them ! Be patient it will happen ! My team i currently have are amazing and i am very happy :) I really feel like on the home stretch they are trying so hard to get this done for me ASAP too !

past 3 weeks, I have attempted contact with Aussie living 2-3 times per day. I've called, emailed, left voicemails, written on the portal - only to have most of those contact attempts fall on deaf ears. I've requested contact, specifically a phone conversation, from my construction consultant, site supervisor and a senior construction consultant, and not one of them has attempted to action this simple request. In the meantime, I'm being messed around with Staff over promising and under delivering.
Better yet - I received an email today from my mortgage broker advising that if i'm not invoiced for my slab within the next 28 days, my loan is going to be cancelled! My Slab went down 5.5 months ago - surely something that should have been acted on by now..? Another example of disregard and poor follow up that the client stands to suffer the consequences from.
There is a great lack of regard and consideration for the client through their poor communication and follow up. It's a shame for a company who's website claims they "spend our time really listening and getting to know you" because my feelings could not be any more polarizing.
I am paying a lot of money for a service and expect that service to be efficient, proactive and courteous. Right now, the "service" from Aussie Living is far from that.

for a while ran through some numbers and then we set up a day to meet. So me at this point still didn't think it was possible to own My own home, I met with Ryan and he sat down with me and talked through every best possible scenario of what would be the best out come for me. A couple of days later called me to tell me I got approved to go ahead to the next stages of it all.. Even though it's still early days he has done everything possible to make my dream of owning a My own home become reality. I would recommend Ryan and Aussie living homes to all my family and friends.

I would definitely recommend doing this process with Ryan assisting you as he has made it easy for me to go through this with as minimal stress as possible. I am still in the paperwork process, but I will update this post as the process goes as long.
