I have had my Bosch Roxx's Animal for about 18 months and have loved it for suction. Lately the sensor control has come on more regular doing the self clean and today the red sensor control light stays on after doing a self clean. What is the cause of this please? I have always kept the head clean, checked filters and emptied regularly.
Sorry, it is not an issue that I have had. I had poor suction from the start and was always cleaning the filters to try and improve it.
I have a three year old Pro-Silence 68 and its driving me insane. It stops and self cleans about every 3-5 minutes when in use. It is only in use for half the year in my house in France. Every time I use it, I have to strip down all the filters, clean it out, and even wash the inner dust filter which seems the only way to get it going again. It then operates for about one house clean and then starts its back filter clean routine every few minutes, such that I spend as much time waiting for it to clean itself, as using it to clean. Any solutions? I am on the verge of chucking it in the garbage, in which it will have been the most disappointing cleaner I have ever bought and certainly with the shortest life.

The red light keeps coming on while I'm vacuuming, I've cleaned the filters and the catch container but it's still doing it. Any advice please?
Hi Kylie, Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch BGS6SIL1AU Vacuum Cleaner. The red light indicates a drop in the air flow to the appliance, which is created by a build up inside the appliance, we would recommend checking the pictures on the back page of the appliance user manual to ensure you haven't missed any filters.

I have a BGS4SILAU/03 Runn'n Prosilence vacuum (which is not on your list). I have had it since 16/11/2014 and bought it from Harvey Norman. I bought an extra 48 month's warranty and glad I did. I went to use it this week and there is hardly any suction. I have pulled it apart and cleaned all the filters which I do on a regular basis, but still no better. Is there anything else I need to try before taking it in for repair under warranty? Please get back to me asap.
Thank you.
Ruth Upton
Just take it back to Harvey Norman.

Do the filters need cleaning? The discharge air smells bad the model is sensor bagless
I was told no (it's self cleaning by turning handle on dust canister) in the shop but the manual says otherwise, depending on how on how often you vac - I'd probably wash the cannister filter every few months or so. Personally haven't had smell issues with mine or washed the filter yet but I'm only cleaning a small apartment 2-3 times a week.
Remove the filter and let the machine suck air without filter for a few minutes. If the smell disappeared, then that's your filter's fault. Then replace it.

Our Bosch stops every 30 seconds and does a self clean, this is so annoying, it can't be right. It will do it even when it is completly empty and clean and no hoses pluged in. Any ideas please?
Wash or change the expensive filter, it would be working all good again afterwards. Filter may break down if you wash it, and not recommend by Bosch. If you wash it, be gentle, and dry it well before use.
Mine has started to do that too Grumpar. Worst purchase I ever made!

I'd like to know whether this vacuum is lightweight? Or bulky - I have stairs with a couple of turns. We love euro appliances but there's so much choice with vacuums....thanks!
Check the dimensions as you might find it a bit big for stairs. Not exactly lightweight but then again it doesn't weigh a tonne either. Love mine& it brings up the carpets a treat, being on the land my floors end up with anything &everything on them but nothing is a problem for my Bosch :-)
The Bosch Roxx´x All Rounder is an excellent vacuum cleaner that is better suited for large single level homes. With a Gross weight of 13 kg and Dimensions: 320x310x500 mm, I believe this vacuum is a little too heavy to cart and use up and down stairs on a regular basis.
