Bosch PPH626B90A / PPQ726B90A Questions & Answers
VerifiedPPS9A6B90A 900 black (glass?) Have had for 2 days and love the mechanics of it but the instructions for cleaning are onerous.
Cleaned with soapy water and a soft cloth and it looked like I'd played in grease. After too much time it looked Ok but not great. Notice after two cooking episoides the black trivets had slight stains..Have cleaned them again but can still see slight discolouations..does anyone know if they eventually pit like a smeg we once had (and was notiorius for doing so, unfortunately we found out too late)? Mechanically it is brilliant with the variations in the gas capacity. Love the look if I do not turn on the overhead light to see my poor cleaning....;-{
Any other suggestions in cleaning or solutions to use which are more effective? Lastly does anyone know if it scratches with paper towels? An early many thanks for your suggestions.
I've found that spray cleaner leave a film. For a flawless finish on the glass buy a packet of Chux No More Streaks Kitchen Duets. There are two purple cloths in a pack and they each do a different job. The large one is used with warm soapy water (dishwashing liquid). Then rinse this cloth and use it with clean water to remove the detergent. Use other small cloth dry to remove the clean water and polish the glass until streak free. You will need to wash and dry the "dry" cloth after each use. For the trivets, I hand wash them in the sink with Spray and Wipe and then soapy water. I think they can be washed in the dishwasher but I'm afraid they may go white.
Many thanks for taking the time to answer
Hi
I am in Forest Lake-4078 in Brisbane. Pl let me know where Bosch 60cm Series 6 Gas Cooktop - Tempered Glass is on display. I want to have a look before buying it.
I am sorry to say that this beautiful model is now discontinued! Which could be a good thing as it scratches like buggery!
