I'd buy a drill. This one is quite useless.

Hi Doc John, No - you can't use external bits, only those contained within the tool itself. When you slide the switch on the top back to rotate the carousel, it locks out the power trigger. The trigger is only released when a bit is selected by sliding the switch on the top forward to load a bit.

Having being given this tool for Christmas as a present, I find that you can remove the screwdriver bits by gently pulling and slotting in drills, Alan Keys and other tools, providing they have the correct shank. it is remarkably powerful and I find it an excellent addition to my toolbox. I am sorry that others have been disappointed.
