Bosch Serie 6 BCS61PE2AU Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: BCS61PE2AUIt appears that you will have to hold this vacuum cleaner with the force of wrist only. On other cleaners I can see a battery or a handle protrudes back so the forearm can rest on it. I don't see the same here. I would imagine that this won't allow more precise control over the cleaning head and will make your wrist to tire quick enough. Is that the case?
It’s a very good vacuum for a quick and short cleaning as compared to any other on the market. Unfortunately, battery is light weight so won’t last for long, the lock broke twice now getting the new one..won’t suggest to spend too much money on any cordless vacuum:)
How many times would the bin need emptying to clean a 4 bedroom house? How often is it recommended that the filter be washed.?
Dorothy, emptying depends on a few things such as do you have a lot of pet hair, do you vacuum once a month or 3 times a week, are your carpets relatively clean or are they very dirty? On average I would expect you would empty the bin every 3 or 4 complete vacuums'. It may be more. On cleaning the filter, I believe the recommendation to clean as required. I clean mine every couple of months. A clean filter helps the unit work better.
Thank you Robbo59 for your reply. As the bin appears small and though my carpets not very dirty I would have guessed the bin may need emptying a couple of times at least with each vacuum. I currently have a different machine and wash the filter after each complete vacuum. Seems the Bosch may be more convenient to use re bin emptying and filter cleaning. Dorothy
What is the suction power on this very little detailed info online
It is comparable to Dyson V8 that I used to own. I mainly have hardwood floors and it works really well on these, particularly with the turbo button for stubborn stuff. If I had a house full of carpet and rugs, I would pay the difference for a Dyson V10 or later model.
Suction is ok and with the turbo function is great but the battery has overheated on ours and stopped working for a short time if the turbo function is overused. The unit comes with a spare battery so not a huge inconvenience. We have timber floors and would think it would struggle if you had a carpeted house but it's only an assumption.
Hi George A, Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner uses a battery that is 3.0 Ah. The run time for all of them are Level 1 Up to 35 min. on normal mode with non-electrical accessories; level 2 Up to 30 min. on normal mode with electrical floor nozzle and Turbo Up to 10 min. on turbo mode with electrical floor nozzle. If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744. Regards, Bosch Home Australia
I have been doing research on stick vacuums and am impressed with the Bosch, I have been told that filters and batteries are hard to replace and that the batteries are only good for two years. I would like a German made product but need after sales service
I cannot answer the life of the batteries as I have not owned mine for 2 years. However, I have other Bosch cordless tools and the batteries are still fine after 5 years. The filter is very easy to remove and clean. You would need to contact Bosch regarding availability of replacement filters, but I think the filter provided will last many years under normal household use.
