Bosch Relaxx'x and Zoo'o Questions & Answers
VerifiedCan my bosch vacuum cleaner be put in reverse
Hi my lux is doing the same with the filter clean. What can I do to fix it. It gets cleaned frequently. Including filters.
Hi Lisa Wish I could help but it seems there's no solution! Despite cleaning the filters like yourself within minutes its shutting down! Thinking I'll see if someone can bypass the sensor! Regards David
I bought this one five years ago it was good for me But since then it stopped working and always the red sensor light turned on without any reason So what should I do?
Give the filter a really good clean. Clean with water and a soft brush, them leave until completely dry before using again
Okay thanks but where the filter is located in?
Hi My beloved Bosch has snapped on the handle it is out of warranty, can I replace this? I have read that this is a known issue, has anyone else experienced??
I'm having same problem.paid a lot of money. very good for a while. now takes twice as long. keeps stopping then starts. I don't finish floors get sick of it what can I do? pull out a wire.
I have a new bosch zoo pro animal vacuum cleaner almost new. The auto sensor keeps turning the machine off even though the filter is clean and empty
Hi Denis, Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch vacuum cleaner. In relation to the unit turning off due to the sensor please, as you have mentioned, make sure that the filters (Multiple) are clean but please also make sure, if they are cleaned with water, that they are completely dry. The other way to clean the filters is to blow out the filter to make sure that the dust has been dislodged. Please also make sure that all the area's around the filters are clean too. If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744, please make sure to have the full model number (ENR). Regards, Bosch Home Australia
I was very happy with my nachine, until the sensor control button keeps cutting in every couple of minutes. I clean the filter and empty the bin, start again, and then it cuts out. Can't go for more than about 2 minutes. Surely a vacuum cleaner should have a relatively long lifespan. We have a nearly 40 year old Sanyo vacuum cleaner we now use to clean the car and it is still going strong. What can be done to fix my Bosch? URGENTLY

I rang that number previously and the response was extremely unsatisfactory
I have the same problem. What can I do?
fixed mine by cutting the yellow wire that goes from the big circuit board to the little one. stops engaging the auto clean function. best to tape up the loose wire ends. definitely not recommended unless youre about to throw out your good vacuum.

Same thing going on here as well, I think Bosch should do a recall and fix this issue free of ALL CHARGES. Fkn electronic crap, bring back the Kirby, couldn't kill em with an Elephant Gun. Bosch on the other hand die of fright when you turn them on.!!
Same. Mine has been cutting out now for so long. I maintain it, bought a new filter, and keep the other filter areas very clean. It's really poor. I'd like something done about it.
This vacuum clearly needs to be recalled. The sensor appears to be faulty.

Is there a faulty sensor in some of these vacuums. I purchased because my son's was so good and still is. Mine unfortunately has the dreaded sensor problem.
There should be a recall on what is obviously a faulty product.

Is the sensor on these vacuums faulty or what??
Potentially. I would clean the barrel filter with a brush every time I emptied the canister. That would keep the sensor calm for a couple of decent vacuums.
My Bosch Zoo,o control sensor has cut out every Few minutes since I bought it 4 years ago it went for a warranty check but lasted 2 days and started cutting out and have put up with it ever since . I clean two filters one in cylinder and one behind the plate right hand side inside every few weeks they are usually reasonably clean. is there a third filter that may be causing this annoyance? That I cannot find
From my experience, it sounds like you are doing everything right. I used to clean the barrel filter with a soft brush to help get as many clumps of dust out as possible. Then it would be good for a reasonable amount of vacuums before the sensor would start tripping again.
thanks sounds like a common issue bad design, I hose my filter every month and dry it out but still does not stop the constant sensor issue.

My daughter was a little too enthusiastic with the vacuum navigation (BoschZoo's Pro Animal) and the hose has come out of the casing. It all seems to be in tact (there is an unbroken silicon seal around the bottom of the hose) - can I just push it back in with a bit of wiggling / force or will I need to take it to have it serviced?
Hi Sue H., Thank you for your question. With something like this it would probably be best to discuss the matter with our support team, as they'll be able to gauge if a service is required. Kind regards Bosch Home Australia.
We have the Bosch Zoo’o and the sensor keeps activating every 30 to 60 seconds. Making it impossible to use. We have cleaned the filter as best we can even with an air hose. What else should we do?

Thank you to Rinus, first bit of detailed advice on the great sensor debarkle. I have been dealing with this problem for a couple of years to date and I must say BOSCH Service have been very timely and responsive, yet unfortunately not provided the additional details on cleaning. I disassembled all parts mentioned, washed, pressure dried and sprayed with Silicone lubricant with some success. The machine has now gone from 30 seconds of operation, self clean, 30 seconds of operation, then goes into slow mode to about 2 minutes of operation, followed by cleaning mode, then repeats twice before going slow. So from about 1 minute of operation, to about 6. Yet the same issue persists.
To me it seems that there is an over sensitivity in the sendor control, as it has never been the case the filters have been compromised to any degree.
I will persist as its a fabulous machine in its brief moments of operation.
