There is a leak when I put the water tank back on the machine. It doesn't leak when it is on the bench , only on the machine. Is there a seal between the inlet and the outlet nozzle?

When trying to froth milk, the steam is coming out of the drip tray, not the wand. Sometimes it comes out the wand but more and more often it is now going out that red steam release thing in drip tray… any ideas??

Sounds like to machine does not work as it should. If it is under warranty call Nespresso for a return number and send it to the Bravo repair centre ( if you live in NSW). If it is out of warranty it will cost you for this and the continuing repairs that it is going to need. Best not but a Nespresso unless you are prepared to replace it annually.

Mine steams from the bottom of the machine (after three years of use). Coffee goes fine, but steam is like old steam loc: steam everywhere, and very hot too. When I close the opening below the old-cups container (rubbery thing) with a steel spoon (because itis very hot!!!) then steam blast from other points of the machine after making a sharp sound. Seems the steam line is clogged or so. Anyone had this problem too? What to do?

My creatista plus stopped pumping water (for coffee and from the steam wand) I've tried everything please help

Hi Kenny, have you tried ringing Nespresso? Their customer service can be hit and miss, but hopefully you will get someone who speaks good English and knows what they're talking about. They will run you through steps to check your machine and if none of that works, you can arrange to send your machine back to Nespresso for repairs at no cost to you if it is still under Warranty. You will have to securely package your machine (find a box the right size for machine and wrap your machine in bubble wrap, enjoy ...), attach the label that Nespresso sends you and take your machine to your local Aust Post store. Pump failure is a common problem with the Creatista Plus machines. Repair turnaround was fairly quick the last time I used it.

Reading all these negative reviews dating back from 2 years ago (until recent), I’m wondering if any of these faults have now been rectified? Mainly seems to be a problem with the milk wand.

Neil
Neil

In my opinion none of the faults have been rectified and Breville simply don’t care. In our case we have had multiple machines - some replaced under warranty and all failed. The steam wand, the seal between the capsules and the machine and the heating element are all areas of concern.

doricat15

Hi Neil. Thanks for your response. It’s a pity that the faults are still there as otherwise it seems like a potentially great machine. Almost bought one, glad I read the reviews first! Yes, it seems neither Breville nor Nespresso care, considering how many people are still complaining about the same issues. How frustrating for you guys!

Do you have the Instruction Booklet that came with your machine? Reset instructions are on page 22.

been having an issue with the coffee temp, the milk not heating or frothing. Have spoken to Nespresso quite a number of times to help trouble shoot the problem and each time im told to do another descale and re-set of the machine. Why should a machine need to be descaled every couple of days? The machine is also now starting to leak water from the bottom. When does this get classed as a serious fault? From reading the comments, obviously this is a fault with the machine, but all Nespresso wants to do is put each machine in for repair. How is this fair? My machine is only 5 1/2 months old also and has been this way for a couple of months.

bronros

Hi Nicole, my Creatista Plus had same issues (milk not heating or frothing) after 3 months and it's just happened again - and the warranty expired 5 weeks ago. The first time it happened, I spoke to Nespresso a number of times to CSO's who weren't of much help, until I finally lucked onto someone who clearly knew the product and understood the issue. They recommended we send the machine back for repairs, they replaced the pump, and it worked fine after that (until now). Not sure why your machine is leaking water though. I would definitely be sending the machine back for repairs while it is still under warranty. Unfortunately you will only get a 6 month warranty on replacement parts. They may be able to supply you with a temp machine while your machine is in for repair, but when ours got repaired they didn't have any temp machines available (too many repairs on their list?). Certainly not ideal. Maybe you could ask the retailer if you can return your machine and get a refund?

Nicole K.

Hi bronros, thanks for your reply. Sorry to hear you’re not having much luck since the repair was done. It’s just ridiculous, you spend the money on a good machine, you don’t expect this to happen so soon or at all. I continued reading the comments below and it seems that a lot of people are having the same issue and that’s as far back as 2 years. Surely you would of thought that they would of looked into this a bit better. I’m actually waiting for a manager from Nespresso to call me back as I said I wasn’t happy, and this is after speaking to them at least once a week for the past so long. I will also now push the fact that this is obviously an issue that’s been happening for a while. I didn’t buy it directly through Nespresso so spoke to the store where I got it and they want to push the consumer laws and send it back for repair, but again like your machine, will it continue to happen even after repairs.

How is the cover of the creatista removed without breaking anything. Need to check inside the machine to see if there is any obvious reason why the machine is not heating the water. It just stopped doing it without any apparent reason.

Sorry I can't help... have you still got the invoice/receipt or any documentation. Maybe the store you bought it from has the serial number...The serial number on my Breville is on the bottom.

Is it possible to just froth milk by itself? No coffee, just froth milk for babyccino. Seems each setting requires a coffee choice and wants to start extraction

milk wand stops and shuts off the machine in the middle of the frothing cycle. The machine won't turn back on. I have to unplug it for a few minutes for it to even turn on. We have had the machine for less than a month.

My machine is stuck in descaling mode. I know everyone says follow it through completely. I have done this 15 times now. Followed steps methodically Husband & son also tried. Will not come out of descaling mode. Very annoying.

Hi, try calling Nespresso support, they were extremely helpful when my machine died

Deni
Deni

My Creatista is stuck in descale mode for the 3/4th time (I’ve lost count), as I write! An electronic issue (motherboard) maybe? Breville/Nescafe should be dealing with this issue in a responsible way! After the last fix, I thought they had permanently disabled the descale function, but no… I can only imagine how many obsolete Creatista coffee machines are sitting on the junk heap right now! So much for the current mantra ‘save the planet, CREATE less waste’ ethos!

What do the milk froth settings 1 - 8 represent please?

1 is least froth, 8 is max froth. Froth = creamier coffee, try this thread for more tips external link

What level on my Lunga setting has the least amount of water? I seem to get too much liquid when I use the lowest dotted line.
