I have an FTXS60LVMA unit in the kitchen, fed by an RXS60LVMA external compressor unit. The two are about 7m apart with the pipes running though an easily accessible roof space. I would like to add a heat pump in the living room but wouldn't need to run it at the same time as the one in the kitchen. Question : can I add another FTX... in the living room (about 3m from the other unit) and change the plumbing to link both units to the same compressor, using whichever outlet I choose (though only one at a time) ? We use a wood-burner for our main source of heat during the winter but the heat pump would be very convenient in the shoulder seasons, when a full-on fire isn't needed.
My air-conditioner won't work when i turn it on. It will open but then closes straight away. The green light is flashing

Sorry that I don't directly know the answer to your question. I was told when I purchased that a WiFi card could be fitted for remote control of the unit, however I have not done this. I have no knowledge of whether this could extend to either a BMS or IoT etc.

Yes, it absolutely does. Works well with no dramas.
My Mum has had one of these for quite a few years now. Works perfect and no issues. Highly recommend this Ftxs50lvma. Good luck.

Hi there if it is a reverse cycle model then yes. ( Must have heat pump ) both of my units are and it works a treat .

Daikin FTXS35LVMA aircon system is officially a piece of junk
We have 9 of them installed across 3 units. No issues after 5 years. Being the son of a refrigeration engineer and having witnessed a few other installs recently I feel it may be fair to say that installation practices potentially play a large part in the reliability of any unit.
Is there a Daikin model called FTXS35L Hi-wall a/c 3.5KW?

That is a Daikin “L-Series” Airconditioner (which is apart of these series of Aircons) it’s full model number is FTXS35LVMA if you want to Google that.
