Sadly the item I require is not available in the accessories list. I am looking for the 24cm deep pan with a lid.

Danoz
Danoz   DM

Oh, I'm really sorry, we no longer stock the 24cm deep pan or the 24cm sets, just the fry pan and lid in that size. We do have a 24cm deep pan in our Flavorstone Diamond range (square pans, slightly darker blue, with detachable handle). The range can be viewed on our page at: external link  If it's of any interest, happy to help with a good deal for you.

Hello have just received my pans and have washed them in detergent and than wiped vegetable oil with a paper towel. I did this on a cold pan, was I meant to hear the pan prior to doing this as my instructions did not advise of thi but have read in comments? Also I have used one of the pans to make an omelet , it was good no getting stuck, but in the instructions it says just to give it a wipe after use, I have a problem with this as like to wash all my pans after use or even soak especially when I have cooked eggs as I don’t like the smell to stay in the pan. I don’t like to mix flavors for my next use. Can I was the pan in detergent after all uses it not?

Danoz
Danoz   DM

Hi Meliss, You may need to reseal your pans. I have attached the steps below: Please then reseal your pans to re-activate the non-stick surface by following the steps below: 1. Warm the pan over medium heat for one minute and remove.

2. Spread a light coating of vegetable oil or canola oil over the entire inside surface of the pan.

3. Place it back on your stove top over medium heat for 5 mins.

5. Let it cool completely.

6. Wipe away any excess residue with a lightly oiled paper towel (do not wash the pan).

You can definitely still wash your pans with detergent, wiping it with a paper towel is just to indicate to all customers that it is very easy to clean.

If you have any further enquiries you are more than welcome to email customercare@danoz.com.au and our customer care team will be able to assist you.

Thank You, Danoz

Hi, I bought a set of favourstone in 2013. The deep pan is my most favourite. However, the pan has started to turn black and food eg. fish tend to stick to the pan. Also, the rubber on the lid that holds the lid holder has started to disintegrate. What can be done to salvage the pan and the lid?

Thanks

I would contact Danoz as I seem to remember that there is a long warranty on this product if it is a genuine flavourstone. I don't have a deep pan but have 3 shallow ones of different sizes which I love and are still perfect. But I never wash them and only wipe with paper towel and sometimes a damp cloth only.

Hi Monet,

I remember buying extended warranty on the set. I will get in touch with Danoz.

Hi Pete, I would imagine as long as its the right size to fit into our Casserole pot this should be fine. Please remember our pans should only be used on a low-med heat. Thank you Danoz.

Just got new flavour stone ,set of 3 pans ,no ware in cooking & wash guide does it say to seal first with oil like our old flavour stone pan , it only says to remove labels and wash with mild detergent, website says different WOTS THE GO ????

Danoz
Danoz   DM

Hi Colin, Thank you for your message. The procedure is still the same, you should of received the sealing process along with your care guides. I apologise for the lack of instructions. I have contacted our dispatch team to advise this was missing your your purchase. Here is the sealing process - Over time, certain foods might leave residue which will cause the pan to stick.

To prevent residue, wash the pans in hot water with mild detergent rubbing delicately with a non-scratch scrubbing sponge.

More resistant residue can be removed and reduced by mixing 2 tablespoons of Bi-Carb Soda & 2 cups of water. Boil the solution in the pan for 5-10 minutes over a medium heat, then wash as normal. You may need to run this process twice. This procedure will reset your pan.

Please then reseal your pans to re-activate the non-stick surface by following the steps below:

The use of oils other than vegetable or canola oil will form more residue. It is highly recommended if you use certain pans frequently that you season your pans with the above procedure at least every 3-4 weeks to keep the non-stick surface at its standard.

Kind regards,

Danoz.

Kim
Kim · Flavorstone Master Set

I purchased the set and there was nothing in the care instructions about sealing the pans. It has three steps in Before You Start: 1 remove labels, 2 wash with mild detergent, rinse with warm water, dry with paper towel, 3 you are now ready to start cooking! I wish I knew to do this before I used it as now the bottom is quite dark and last time I cooked eggs in it they stuck a little bit. Would this be covered under warranty? I still have the Cooking & Wash Care Guide that came in the box so I can take a picture of it and email to you if you like.

Danoz

Hi Kim, it sounds like you will need to perform a cleaning solution on your pans as over time, certain foods might leave residue which will cause the pan to stick and discolor. To prevent residue, wash the pans in hot water with mild detergent rubbing delicately with a non-scratch scrubbing sponge.

More resistant residue can be removed and reduced by mixing 2 tablespoons of Bi-Carb Soda & 2 cups of water. Boil the solution in the pan for 20 minutes over a medium heat, then wash as normal. You may need to run this process twice. This procedure will reset your pan.

Please then reseal your pans to re-activate the non-stick surface by following the steps below:

The use of oils other than vegetable or canola oil will form more residue. It is highly recommended if you use certain pans frequently that you season your pans with the above procedure at least every 3-4 weeks to keep the non-stick surface at its standard.

Kind regards, Danoz.

Cassandra

I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly.

I think your asking if you have to seal the frypan with oil before first use. I did it to pots and pans for first use but haven't done since.

Danoz
Danoz   DM

Hello, Yes all of our pots and pans have to be sealed before use. We also suggest to seal your pans regularly every 3-4 weeks as this will prolong the life and non stick surface of the pan. Kind Regards, Danoz.

I've had my bluestone cookware set, for over a year. Found it to be really good. I regularly oil them after washing them, and it does help. I recently made, tomato relish, and some usually with an ordinary pan, some will stick, not this time. I love my stoneware

Why is there no advice to seal Flavorstone in the instructions? I have bought a set this morning and there are no warnings about having to seal them!

Hello,

I just tried the BiCarb soda and water cleaning method but it appears it has done nothing. Are there any other suggestions for how to remove blackness from the bottom of the pans?

Danoz
Danoz   DM

Hi Danni, Over time the pans can slightly discolour. Anything heavy can stain the pan such as gravy, curry and juices from meats but this should not effect the performance. We also advise to refrain from using Olive Oil as this type of oil is heavier and burns faster than normal oils so can stain the pan faster. Could you send clear photos of your pan into our email address customercare@danoz.com.au and mention this conversation. We will assist you further. Kind Regards, Danoz.

My flavorstone pans are all turning black and beginning to lose there non stick. Is it because I use a Gas cooker? Am very disappointed.

James C.

I don't really know. Sorry. Maybe the manufacturer is at fault and theres a faulty batch of flavorstone.

Bruce N Morgan
Bruce N Morgan

I can't say this is the answer to everyone's problems, but the Youtube video is very clear that you DON'T use the usual heat settings that you would use for iron or aluminium pans. The blackening and destruction of non-stick both sound like overheating the pan.

Hi i just purchased a set of flavorstone fry pans and one of the pans has lost its colour blue and now is black. I am scared to use it, why has it lost its colour is it a fault in the pan?

Sue
Sue

Yes it is definitely the fault of the pan. As you can see by all the reviews we have all experienced the same problem. I fortunately received a refund after Consumer Affairs got involved. I suggest for you to follow up in this way if you want your money back. Otherwise Danoz will just blame you and every excuse in the book. The bottom line is the pans are rubbish and I do not understand how they are allowed to still be advertising on the TV. It is almost a year since my case was solved and I cringe every time I see it on TV.

jacki.lupeski
jacki.lupeski

on the day i submitted a question without reading the reviews first, then i started reading and was blown away with how many other poor people wasted their money and time on this product. Thanking you for your time and response will definately be following your lead and totally agree that the pans are rubbish and cheaply made.

Hi perth01, Thank you for your inquiry. The Flavorstone Cookware can be oven proof, but you will only be able to place the Pans with the detachable handles in the oven without the handles of course.

I am sorry but I don't know the answer. My pan is relatively new but has blackened a little. I tried soaking it in bleach but this did not help. I have found that I can seal the meat on high then turn the heat down and this helps. Good luck. Wendy

Hi eileenguise, Thank you for your comment. Please try the troubleshoot below to help with the discolouration on your Pan. However, please be advised that this will not make the Pan sapphire blue again but it will help remove some of the residue and help to lighten the discolouration:

More resistant residue can be removed and reduced by mixing 2 tablespoons of Bi-Carb Soda & 2 cups of water. Boil the solution in the pan for 5-10 minutes over a medium heat, then wash as normal. You may need to run this process twice. This procedure will reset your pan.

Hi I purchased flavor-stone pots and pans awhile ago and i have just had induction hotplates put in all pans work perfectly on hotplates except the small saucepan why is that?

vonnie
vonnie

Any cookware that a magnet will not stick to the base of is not suitable for induction cook tops. However, you can buy special cooking discs for induction cook tops that enables you to use your old favourite cookware. Not sure what they are called. Just type in your search criteria how I have described them. I am sure you will find something. Cheers

Danoz
Danoz   DM

Hi cherylhill62, Thank you for sharing your feedback. Unfortunately due to the size of the Saucepan this Pan in particular would not be able to work on an induction stove top. However if you wish we can try and exchange the Saucepan for another Pan that will work on your induction stove top. Please contact us at customercare@danoz.com.au and we will be more than happy to see how we would be able to further assist you.
