Hi are these still able to be repaired.. Thinking of buying a second hand one with a screen problem.. Seems to be missing pixels.
Hi Sue, it's best to contact the repairer you would like to use and see how much it will cost and if that particular problem is able to be fixed :)
The touch screen lights up very Well, however when touching The screen it will not select and Perform the function requested. Anyone have a suggestion as to How to repair?? Thanks
Hi Lloydc, Make sure your screen is fully cleaned as any little splashes of milk/coffee can make the screen sticky so the screen will stop working or not do the command you asked it to. Is there any warning lights that have come up on your machine? Let us know how you go and if it still does not perform please contact us again and we will be able to help you further :)

hi my ,DeLonghi PrimaDonna Avant ESAM6700 , when pressed cupachino or any button on the botton row, the LCD display " please wait" then return to normal with out any frothing, also the water spout water does not come out, it also say "please wait" please advice what is the problem with the machine? cheers
Your machine should be still covered under warranty. These machines have 24 months warranty, contact them direct and asked them. If they cannot help you over the phone they will arrange for a repair or replacement. DeLonghi is really good to deal with especially with these top of the range machines
I agree with some comments about the froyh milk...I use skimmed milk and it would make little froth .....why?
If you want full froth you need to use full cream milk. Skimmed milk is pretty much like watered down milk.

Hi, you can buy a descale product from supermarket or from Delongi, and simple follow the instruction on pack or from your manual for coffee machine.

Machine grinds the coffee then says needs beans even though there is beans and noticed that the machine is pushing the ground beans into the section where you can put ground coffee in. Any ideas?
Mines doing the same. Noticed the cartridge is staying up and not dropping waste into tray. Wondering whether to fix it or toss it. Love to know what you discover.
I've changed the coffee beans and it doesn't do it anymore I'm very happy because I love my coffee machine. I have had the same trouble with the cartridge and soaked it in boiling hot water. Thanks

Get dryer beans and change the orings on infuser and the plunger inside machine. Can buy an oring kit.
Why can't I get milk out of machine only get froth and steam?
I have also had this problem, and taken machine back while under warranty , but the same thing has happened again this week, now I am trying to work out why myself, I only get steam, no milk.

My ESAM6700 has made over 9000 espressos, I have descaled it many times, maybe not as many as I should however. Recently it came up with a message saying the grinds were too fine and now it will not rinse or express coffee. It makes all the noises like it's going to, then it gets quieter, its still running the process but nothing, maybe towards the end I get a very few drops of coffee or water. It gives the same grinds message and asks me to put the spout in and then it expels about a cup of hot water. Same things happens again and again, still no rinse or coffee.
I have moved the grinds leaver in all positions, I have pulled the machine to bits and cleaned everything, even the solenoids. Any ideas please?

Hello Justin, Sounds like your have done your best with trouble shooting to fix the problem yourself..I've just got my machine back from delonghi repairers and can only recommend putting it into repairers for them to have a look.Mine will give me a call and discuss issues costs etc so.i can make the decision to fix it or move on...

"Coffee grounds too fine" means it can't pump enough water through the coffee OR it can't detect water flow. The pump gets quieter because there is a blockage somewhere after the pump. Maybe a valve is faulty that is responsible to direct water to the brewing unit.
I have the same problem. I tried everything when I removed the line the goes to the generator which is the last place water goes to I have good water flow. Telling me I have a problem or blocklage at the generator. I just ordered complete for $96.00 on e--- . I will let you know how it goes. Good look

Hi Julio, I am having the same problem you mentioned above but mine at least rinses... didn’t you end up fixing the issue and if so how please?
Hi all. I had the same problem. Solution was easy, at least in my case. Turn off the screw in the centre of the metal grid of the coffee generator and detach it from the device. You will certainly see the other side of the grid is covered by a thick layer of coffee residue stocked to the metal. It obscured the holes and water could not run through the grid. Removing of this layer and placing the grid back completely recovered good functioning of the machine.
Is there a way to get milk to froth more? Other than changing milk type?
Can I use long life skimmed milk? Thanks
The machine will still froth the milk, but will probably be more froth than smooth silky texturised milk.
This is still a good machine if you are looking for a fully automatic model.
