Have got the EWF 1481 Electrolux washer and it seems to start the cycle, gets 2 mins into it then stops and goes back to start again. But door stays locked as has some water in drum... I can drain this and will eventually unlock but only to repeat again! Is there a quick fix or has anyone else had the problem?

I have a front load Electrolux Time Manager EWF 14922. Initially, the machined did a cycle but the door would not open. I drained the drain pump and cleaned the filter and then did a spin cycle but door still would not opern. Did a diagnostic test and error E42 appeared. Now the machine won't start, it just keeps making the clicking noise like it's locking/unlocking and the lock and wash symbols flash. Is there some way of troubleshooting this?

Im in a drying situation...suddenly beeps and showing..."check the tap" then beeping repeatedly...how to fix it?thanks for the answer
Hi Ryan, I have the same problem and found this online external link
My Electrolux EWF14012 seems to only be filling with water then it stops and says check the tap which I have obviously done. After message comes up it does not do anything else just waits and beeps. Any ideas?
mines doing the same thing. Did you work out what this was ??
Mines doing the same! Also same model, any idea?
Had the repair man come over to fix it, he found a loose hose inside. Was a simple fix.
Replaced door lock on ewf 1047 washing machine. Still clicking and door lock light flashing.any idea?
Have you found out problem yet i have same problem
My EWF14012 washing machine has started to come up with a message “Check the tap”... during main wash and rinse cycles and the cycle then stops. I have obviously checked the tap as it says and checked the inlet hose - all looks normal and message continues to come up. Nothing in the user manual about this error message. I call Electrolux, and they could not tell me what it meant either! Help. Very frustrating, as my Electrolux Dryer just needed a new part, and my Electrolux dishwasher also had an issue recently - all products were purchased around the same time and only a couple of years old - so disappointed.
The beeps, for example to say the cycle is finished, is not working. If you are close to the machine you can just hear it. I didn't realize I would miss it so much Haha. Is there a quick fix?
in the settings you can change the volume of the cycle finished beeps.
Ok thank you

Hi Suzy - I think you would have to get a technician. I don't have this machine now, and have gone back to a top loader. Sorry I can't help. Good luck!

Can you help me with this?
Sorry I'm not sure how to fix this problem. You probably need a technician
Good luck
I have an Electrolux time manager 7kg eco wash machine. It had a clicking sound and error 42. I replaced the door mechanism and it's still doing it. Can you help me please. Lynne
Sorry I'm not a washing mechanic

Thanks Tania, I have emailed you.
I have "Electrolux sensitive wash system 7kg" 3 years old and It had a clicking sound so I try to fixe it and it works perfectly. Just remove the upper part then you will find a concrete piece with three bolts that bolts from the vibration have been unscrew so I went to "Bunnings" and I bought "rubber wiring". It cost me only $3.99 then I put the ring in the screws and tighten them strongly and now working perfectly :)
Ewf1481 has started stalling with about 17mins to go in cycle. Error message says to check that the tap is on as the water's not coming thru. I press the play button and the wash continues. Is this just a sensor as the tap never gets turned off. Is it worth fixing?
I haven't had that problem, but it could be an easy fix for an appliance technician. I have actually had a new motor installed since I put up the original review. The machine was only about 4 years old, but it stopped working, and the quickest way out was to put the new motor in, rather than shop for a new machine. I have said I'm not spending any more money on it. Your problem though could just be a valve that needs replacing. Have you tried running it through the cycle with epsom salts? Good luck
Tried the Epsom salts but no luck. We haven't been overly happy with the machine's performance. We had two motherboards replaced on warranty as well as the door. Same as you I don't won't to throw any more money at it! Hopefully we can get some idea over the phone of the cost. It still runs through the cycle but needs us to hit the button. Thanks for the advice
Hi my washing machine is saying it is locked .. Any ideas?
I have the same problem...can anyone help us?? [email removed] thanks Colin
Hi, I've got an Electrolux ewf1481 washing machine and it won't run, says spinning, draining etc, but door lock making clicking noise and has error codes saying door not locked! I've just ordered and replaced the door lock assembly part 1249675-13/1 but still clicking and not running with new part installed! Any suggestions?
I haven't had that problem, but one very similar occasionally when I try to start the machine. I found it helpful to turn the power on and off a few times at the power point. Have you tried contacting Electrolux? You shouldn't be charged for the part if it hasn't fixed the problem. Good luck
Hello. I am looking at buying a second hand Electrolux front loader but the seller said it misses a cycle every now and then, is this going to become a big problem??
Yes
Hi, my washing machine doesn't spin or drain, is it worth repairing? We have it for about 5 years and had to repair it once before.
You should find out how much a service call will cost in your area then decide if want to pay that price to find out what might be wrong with the machine. My experience showed that the insurer didn't think my machine was worth repairing. The problem with your machine might be able to be fixed. I paid the cost of an extended warranty so that might be a similar cost for a service call. You need to think about the inconvenience of not having a washing machine and whether it's better just to cut your losses and get a new machine. If you read other reviews this model doesn't have seem to be a durable machine.
Hi
I got a electrolux ewf1481, had it around 5 years now, I'm having an error message about "unstable mains supply". I tried to look it up on the net, how to fix it..but to no avail.

Hi we have been struggling with this same problem for months and when we have spoken to washing repair people, they have never heard of it. The machine also starts and then turns off sometimes soon after starting, sometime quite a while after. Not sure if the two problems relate to each other but there is no way we want to pay for a service person at $99 just to come and then $22 for every 15 minutes after that, for them to say that they don' have a clue DoEs anyone have an answer?
I have a four year old Electrolux Time Manager and each time I do a load of washing the dispenser drawer is full of water at the end of the wash. This requires the drawer to be removed and the water drained off before each new load of washing. What is going on?

Ive got an electrolux washer and today it wont wash its saying on the screen e40 can any body help me to fix the problem it an ewn 14780 w machine?
Hi Patricia An E40 error means the door is not closed properly or the door switch has failed. You can try and close the door firmly. If the error is still occuring then you will need to contact Electrolux on 13 13 49 to organize a service for the appliance.
Thank you
