We have had our cooktop since September 2011, so it is five and a half years old but two of the shield plates have rusted, one in particular is coming off in chunks. Is this normal for a cooktop this age? I have had many gas cooktops over the years and have never seen this sort of degeneration. Do these parts need to be replaced from time to time? Donna Harwood
We have had our cooktop since September 2013. The wok burner trivet has rusted and where it sits on the shield plate has just started to rust, but the other shield plates are like new. I'm wondering if the corrosion has something to do with the amount of heat. That particular burner gets used the most.
Has anyone had an issue with the glass cracking? Cleaned it after dinner and next night starting to prepare dinner and found glass cracked. Nothing dropped or cooked in between . Really disappointed as I love it
No, we have had our stove top for 2-3 years and the glass is fine.
