Hi. The fabric softener draw remains full after a complete cycle. No error code. Filter and draw have been cleaned.

Can’t give you much advice except that it’s an awful machine. I will never buy Electrolux ever again. Too much went wrong with mine. I’d recommend calling their customer care to see if they can help. Though they’ll likely just want to charge you to send out a Technician. Good luck!

machine will not open after cycle has finished its locked tried putting on another full cycle till the end and still cant open the door, key lock keeps flashing on and off with the beeping, i wait till its stop to open and still nothing

This was one of many common faults I experienced with this machine..... From memory I turned it off & on a few times & it would usually then unlock. Good Luck!

We had to get a piece of strong fishing line and slide it behind the door to unlock it. There is a YouTube video on how to open the door on front loader when stuck. This is the whole reason why I will never buy this brand again in anything.

Don't stress out: it's easy to fix. Release and clean water drain pump. Often it becomes clogged with pieces of paper or hair. Here is the video which may be useful: external link

My EWF 12822 STINKS AND I CANT FIND A WAY TO CLEAN IT. Sorry about shouting. Have cleaned all around the door rubber but can't see what else. Any ideas?

Vinegar and bicarb soda. I also make sure the filter is clean. That builds up with grime. I ended up getting a new washing machine not this brand. Won’t ever buy this brand again.

Thanks for your time. Can you explain how you used the vinegar and bicarbonate. Just an empty wash cycle maybe and how much.

My machine just stopped mid wash and all lights have gone off. I cannot turn it back on. It is not a power supply issue as I have tested the power point. Is there a way to hard reset the machine to get it to come back on?

Hi My machine is taking forever to fill and move on to the next cycle. The machine keeps pausing and the lock light keeps flashing Also keeps displaying code E10 and E41. I have disconnected the inlet hose and cleaned the filter and also cleaned the pump and the same problems continue to happen, what do you think the problem is???? thanks

chrisadria

Sorry, I never got that code before. You will need to contact Electrolux.

Sorry I meant code E40 not E41

I often get that too. It’s intermittent. I change different cycles to the longer one. I’ve just bought a new washing machine. Electrolux offered to pay for parts but the labour and call out fee wouldn’t be worth it. So I’m not taking them up in their offer. Won’t buy this brand again because a washing machine in my opinion shouldn’t play up from pretty much the beginning and should last longer than 3 years.

It seems to be a common problem, Electrolux offered to send a technician around at $145 minimum so it’s not a cheap fix so I don’t think I will buy the Electrolux appliances ever again.

Washing machine is locked, there is a sign of lock on screen and machine is not working. Any help?

Robert
Robert

Most likely the control board but could be other things so I think too risky spending $200 (that is the parts cost if you can do it yourself but to get someone else expect +$150-200) to change it unless you are confident this is the cause. Mine is still running since I replaced the control board and inlet valves 10 months ago although now the drum is making a funny sound sometimes so I think the clock is ticking for me again. I would suggest you just get a new machine, sorry and good luck.

My front loader has started making a rattling noise as it fills with water. The drum is still at the time. Have had it for 6 months. Any ideas?Cathy

Robert

Maybe something loose but no clue sorry. Suggest removing the top cover which is very easy as just 2 screws at back. Try to ascertain the source of the noise. Even better, get Electrolux to handle it under warranty.

So we are getting a flashing ERR message in conjunction with beeping and it is also pausing mid cycle for some reason that we can't define. Happens on both the 18 min wash and also the mixed setting. Any suggestions? Machine is about 6 months old.

Sometimes I've wondered if with newer, modern computerised machines..that the more choices in wash cycles..the more the machine technology itself becomes confused!! Is this possible..& not the "fault" of the user! It's all too easy to "blame" the customer in washing some item or using the machine incorrectly & say it's not a product machine error! My previous front loader.. A WHIRLPOOL..lasted me nearly 14 years..not once did I have any trouble..I miss that machine!!

This is the 3rd wash we've done in the machine! it keeps stopping and Start button flashing! what is going on? Could you please advise.

What cycle should we use? It's for 2 adults and our clothes are not heavily soiled? Is it correct that the whole cycle on cotton without adjusting the time should take 4 hours?

We had this machine for 2 months and it is not silent. It destroys the fibers of clothes it washes causing them to pill --even in hand wash mode!!

We got a Electrolux washing machine 12822 from Harvey Norman, why is it that if adjust the time short ,the washing is absolutely wet and not spun properly?,and at times I don't change anything at all ,and even if the cycle is finished I can't open the door. I never have trouble like this before with the other machine. I feel like going back to the store and tell him that everything he said is all rubbish. Thanks Flor

Wow... sorry to hear that you've had such problems with this machine. I would suggest that the machine is faulty and if you have no satisfaction through Harvey Norman (yes, their after sales service is abysmal) to directly to Electrolux with your problems. We've had our machine now for 12 months and couldn't be happy with it.

Just last Saturday we took delivery of our brand new Electrolux 12822 washing machine after deciding to upgrade from the crappy chinese made samsung we had previously. Unfortunately in only our SECOND EVER load of washing, a bra inside a zipped up washing bag got somehow caught in the door's rubber seal during the spin cycle. Well two minutes later and the rubber seal was wrecked - two punctures a ripped water spout and bits of seal everywhere. Can you please let me know if damage to the rubber seal for the door is covered by the warranty and what we should do to claim?

Can this handle a queen-sized comforter or do I need a 10Kg version of this?

Angie_in_Qld
Angie_in_Qld

Hi. Yes, I've washed similar sized items with no problems. It was actually a feather doona that I washed. The trick here is to concertina the item (like a paper-made fan) lengthways, then widthways and then place in the machine to ensure an even wash of the item - and do on a gentle setting. Came up a treat for me. Hope this helps. Angela
