My machine has become super noisy during spin cycles, any suggestions what it could be?

Hey Dayna, No idea what the issue could be. I wasn’t able to get anyone out to look at my machine so I had to junk it and buy a replacement- not an Electrolux…

My electrolux ewf14822 wont work as it wont let the water come into the machine. Makes all the right noise. Have checked taps. Water pressure no e10 code . Can you suggest anything else to check. Thanks

We have noticed a grease-like stain on our clothing after a washing cycle, what could that be please?

My electrolux ewf14922 takes a long time to finish a cycle or it stops mid cycle. For example, a 110 min cycle will take several hours, frequently stopping on 58 mins.

I would suspect a failed power supply chip on your machine's PC board. Unless you are an Electronic Technician, don't bother trying to fault find or fix it as you may cause a fire if you don't replace it with the correct components.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem I’m having? Thank you if you can help. It’s got the lock icon showing but I can open the door, it also won’t allow me to change to any other setting it’s stuck on spin and I can’t even start it. I’ve tried turning it off and pulling out the plug.

How do u unlock ewf14922 please?

JJA
JJA

What did you mean by unlock? Do you mean unlock the control panel or unlock the door? Because when there is water in the washing machine, the door will not unlock until the water is drained.

Door is locked and can't open it have tried the emergency red pull it didn't work any other suggestions have turned on and off, done new cycles?

R.M.

The only time I couldn't open the door was when it was on Refresh cycle. I had to wait until it was finished. I would ring Electrolux as there is normally a way to open it manually with the end of a knife or something.

You did pause the cycle first didn't you?

Sorry I'm not much help.

Thankyou RM . It wont unlock after the cycle has finished. Tried turning off and on, running another cycle. So frustrating just out of warranty and second thing that has happened to it. :(

It should have a key where the washing powder goes in once you take the key out there should be a little slot to put it in and manually open if you can't find it go on YouTube and put the details there should be someone showing you how to open it

HI, I purchased my Electrolux washing machine a few days ago. So far I love it. My question relates to the water drainage hose. I have the end in a drain pipe but the hose is so long, it is looped on top of the washing machine as instructions say it the drain hose must remain hooked on the top of the machine. Is my positioning okay or should the hose be shortened?

Sim

Hi! Our hose was the right length for our tap/plumbing. I really don't know the answer, I would think so. Have you checked the manual/website?

Heather
Heather

The manual simply says the hose must be attached at the top, back of machine. I have the end of the hose pushed into the pipe as far as poss but still a lot of hose to go somewhere.....

It's a fairly new machine and I have only really used the 18min cycle. The machine decided not to draw any water today? It actually went through the wash cycle (18mins) and when I went to take the clothes out to put them into the dryer I noticed that the washing was dry? Checked the drawer that contains the washing powder and it was still in there? What is going on? Help

Did you do the recommended initial wash that gets the pump going? Read details in instruction booklet then call Electrolux.

Update: put machine on the 18 min cycle and it decided to draw water and washed the clothes

Why can't the filter drain be openable given how new this machine is? Even old machines provide for this flexibility.

Alan

It can be opened. Its just really tight. I had to loosen it with a shiftier

annlou

We had to use 2 pairs of pliers to open it and were very worried the cover would snap off ! Even the repair man who came about another problem said he had same experience with other machines of the same model. Would be good if the manufacturer checked this before shipping as it seems to be a common problem with this machine . My machine was brand new when this happened. Since then we have had a communication error with top panels that took weeks and 3 repair visits to fix. Quality control seems to have slipped, my old machine was 7 yrs old no problems till the very end. This one is just 7 months now. Loved the old one, this one washes really well and has great features but too many problems already for my liking.

Evemelville

It is always very tight the first time you have to undo it, have you ever tried to get a wheel off your car and the nuts have screwed on too tight, the mahcines that they use put it on tight as most washing machines are factory tested and must be very tight.
