EWW1492 will not complete a wash cycle. I stops about 4 times during the "Quick 18" wash option. It says "check water tap" then it will say "Paused" then it will say "Door locked". If you press the start button again and do so continually it will finish the wash. But this can take a very long time. I have cleaned the pump filter and the tap is fine and the hose has no kinks. Seems to be a programming problem or a problem with the board. Can you reset this machine? Any suggestions very very welcome.welcome.
Hi my machine keeps reading not available and keeps flicking to different wash cycles ie cotton then vapour then to others that I don't want then as soon as I press it comes up not available. Please help
I have had all the frustrating problems described here. I took the top cover off by removing two screws from the back, gave the circuit board (control panel) a blast from the inside with a hair dryer for a minute to rid moisture and now works like a charm. I keep the cover slightly ajar to allow circulation. Appears to be a humidity issue. Have had the board changed twice at great expense but just the top cover off seems to have sorted it. Hope it works for you
Thankyou I have been unplugging it for a day some times two it goes for couple of washes then it flashes again ive even tried not to touch board so as not to overload programme so thankyou again will get back to u after ive done.

Same problem. This error is not letting me choose options other than cotton, handwash, refresh mixed, bedding and quick 18. Did you find any solution?
None the wiser as to why it happening. However, we unplugged the machine for minimum 2 minutes & it seems to have reset itself. Fingers crossed.
The machine won’t turn on just stopped. Power to the machine is fine. Is only 3 years old...please help!

Can’t get the memory off the machine
How do I get my washer off of child lock? It is an Electrolux Perfect Steam with LuxCare Wash
My washing machine keeps stopping halfway threw A cycle it Has to be restarted & now it takes 4 hours to do one load
I have cleaned out the drain pump filter, however the pump seems to continue even when the machine is off, I can only stop it when it is switched off at the wall. Any ideas would be appreciated

EWF14912. I can not turn off child lock as the prewash button does not seem to work. We actually never turned on the child lock in the first place? Does this need a technician?
My machine's drum bearings have gone after 4 years. Is there any way Elecrolux can help? Will they buy back the rest of the machine? Obviously it is now out of warranty, but surely a machine at this expense should last more than 4 years!

Error code.soap dish dirty,full off old detergent. Pull out and clean like new.
Or, wrong detergent used. Run empty on full cycle to clean out old suds.
Or, some water remains in maching.

This is how, straight from the user manual which is available as a pdf online here, external link Good luck and please note you may have to do it a couple of times to get your timing right so both buttons are pressed at exactly the same time. It took me 3 goes the first time just watch the "Child Lock" symbol.
5.9 Child Lock Feature
Your appliance is provided with
CHILD SAFETY LOCK which
permits you to leave the appliance
unsupervised with the door closed
without having to worry that
children might be injured by or
cause damage to the appliance.
Set this option before pressing the
Start/Pause and after having
selected the required wash program.
This function remains enabled even
after the appliance is switched off.
To activate the function, press
‘Prewash’ and ‘Rinse +’ touchpads
at the same time until the display
shows the symbol ‘ ’.
Setting Child Lock option:
To deactivate the function, press
‘Prewash’ and ‘Rinse +’ touchpads

I hate this piece of crap machine. Problems with it since day one. It is now not starting and beeping constantly. I cannot find the warranty and would just like advice on how I can fix this problem or I will have to buy a new machine which I cannot afford. It seems that this problem is common. All I want to do is to have clean clothes.
Hi Tracy,i will have a read about trouble shooting and get back to you. Beeping is a fault,may be the machine is not balance probably and when it goes to spin it stops. Can u open the door and is it empty,no water inside.
Also bra wire sometimes comes out of the bra and gets caught in the impeller when emptying the water out.

Sounds like the pump may be clogged I have included a link to the manual to help you troubleshoot the problem, or you may even have accidentally activated the child lock function as I did the other day external link
Sensor buttons not working and machine is beeping constantly! Any ideas?
Call the warranty phone number. I think the whole front panel with those buttons has faults. Our machine is also beeping although not constantly.
How do I adjust any of the programs to have a washing cycle of less than one hour and 20 minutes (really? who has that amount of time to wait for sheets to finish washing before running off to work. With wash cycles this long I'll be chained to my laundry. The programs won't allow me to go below one hour 20. Please help, otherwise this machine is going back - it was a warranty replacement and I want my old Electrolux back!!!

Machine actually weighs the loads so if it is not a full load the time actually adjusts accordingly & can be quite reduce. Mine has reduced down to 35mins at times for small loads. It is all about selecting the correct cycle for the size & type of load you are washing. Selecting cold water will ensure minimum time is used also. Hope this helps.
