Fanco Eco Breeze DC Questions & Answers
VerifiedI have 3 eco breeze DC fans installed. One has stopped working. It beeps and tries to turn in both directions then stops. I tried checking for loose wiring but not sure if that's the issue. Any advice?
Contact Fanco their service guy is very helpfull, if you want to try a possible fix i would try reprogramming the controller to the fan if you can do this and it does not work , try swapping the controllers from a different fans you will have to reprogram them both then you can see if fault is in controller or the fan

Is there a way to turn off the beep whenever you press the remote? At night its quite loud.
Hi Sam, Thanks for your question. Traditionally most DC motor fans were designed to emit a beep when changing settings on the remote, as you’ve noted with the Eco Breeze, and this cannot be turned off. In line with customer feedback, our DC fans are now designed to be beep free or have the option for this setting to be turned off. I have a 2.8m floor to ceiling in my home & the lowest I can apparently go is 300mm. Is there a way to shorten the pole, buy a shorter pole or creep it up into the ceiling 10 or 15mm.??? I want to buy 3 of the Eco breeze DC ceiling fans after looking at fans for a month
Hi Casey, Thanks for reaching out to us! The hanging rod cannot be shortened and is required to be that length for optimal performance. If your ceiling height is 2.8m, this should accommodate the Eco Breeze. Its drop from ceiling to blade is 320mm and considering the Australian recommended clearance, 2.1m between the blades and floor, your overall drop would then become 2.4 to 2.5 approximately, which is normally a good hanging height for a ceiling fan. Our sales team is more than happy to address any specific queries. Please enquire through the following link external link for your personalised advice. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. I'm sorry as I was very tired last night, I wrote that I have a 2.8m instead of 2.4m ceiling
Hi Casey, Your ceiling height is the standard in Australia, which would not be an issue when installing your Eco Breeze fans. As we have previously mentioned, the hanging rod cannot be shortened, as its length provides optimal performance. For further assistance, please enquire through the following link external link Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Regards, The team at Fanco
Hi guys we installed the DC model with no light last week and it rattles constantly when running - seems the top domed metal plate that comes down over the works rattles against the body of the fan. Is there some way to prevent this???
Hi Sally, Thanks for reaching out to us. We're very happy to address your enquiry, please contact our Customer Service team directly at external link and they will be able to look into it in more detail. Regards, The team at Fanco
We have just had our second Eco Breeze fan (Model CFFCEB3XXX) installed, based on our experience with the first, and are concerned that there is a "clicking" noise at the slower speeds we use at night - this is enough to prevent sleeping. How can we resolve this?
Hi Arnold, sorry to hear that your Eco Breeze is clicking. Rest assured though, this is not how we would expect any of our products to operate if they’ve been installed correctly. It’s difficult to identify what’s causing the sound over Product Review, so we would encourage you to get in touch with our warranty team. You can do this by calling 03 8658 9588 or emailing service@fanco.com.au. You can also find all the warranty details for the Eco Breeze and the rest of our range on our website: external link
We need 4 fans for new bedrooms what do you recommend (2) 3 x 3 m and (2) 5 x 3 m
Thank you Steve [email removed]
I bought the 3 bladed x 52" fan for the sitting area in our lounge. The area is quite open and we have lots of windows. With the fan on full the area is cooled sufficiently for us to be comfortable. That means I dont have to put the A/C on, saving a bit of energy. I thought it might be a bit small for the area, but it works well in our living area. Depending on the size of the bedrooms, I would recommend this size fan. It is also quiet, thanks to a very good dc motor.
I put 5 x 52" these are efficent enough. I put them in bedrooms and living areas. Also note my electrician said to put the one near TV area at least 75cm away from my downlights to prevent the fan strobing the lights causing a flickering sensation when watching TV.
Thank you for the advice
Hi Steve, It's great to see how well the Product Review community helps each other out! Thanks John and Kaz for answering this question while we were out of the office for the long weekend. You make some excellent points. We'd like to add a couple of things for Steve to keep in mind too. The most important things to consider are the size and position of the fan, as well as the airflow. The Eco Breeze is a 52"/132cm size fan (standard size) and most people find that this is a good size for the rooms you've described. For the larger rooms, we would suggest placing the fan in the area where you will get the most use out of it (eg. over or close to the bed). Because this can be a personal choice, it's also a good idea to measure out the size of the fan in the room. That way you can get an idea of how much space your fan will cover, and if you'd like to find a different size. You can always get in touch with us by email if you have any more questions - sales@fanco.com.au =)
What is the CPM/W?
Hi Yu, Thanks for getting in touch! =) It looks like there may be a typo in your question, I think you meant cfm/w (Cubic feet minute per watt). As an Australian company , we use cubic metres per hour to measure our fan's airflow, so please keep this in mind if you're comparing to models using cubic feet per minute. On top speed, the Eco Breeze uses 35 watts, and produces 8,325 m3/hr (138.75 m3 per minute). You can find the full specs for the Eco Breeze on our website external link and our sales team is also available to answer any other questions you have if you email sales@fanco.com.au.
Can you have a dimmer switch on the light with this model? Is this model ok for sloped ceilings?
Hi Rosie, thanks for getting in touch! The good news is that the Eco Breeze has an angled canopy so it can be installed on a ceiling with an angle of up to 13 degrees. So provided that your ceiling isn't steeper than 13 degrees, you shouldn't have an issue. At this stage though, the Eco Breeze does not have a dimmable LED light, so it cannot be installed with a dimmer switch. The light is 1500 lumens , which is quite bright so it might be best to visit one of our stockists to see the fan in person so you can decide whether it's right for you. Hi there,
We bought 3 x Eco Breeze DC Ceiling Fans with LED Light & Remote by Fanco and the electrician installed them yesterday. All working well except when you switch the light off with the remote, all 3 still glow faintly but distinctly - like a night light for a baby or something. If we turn the power off at the wall switch the lights don't glow any more, but the fan doesn't work either (of course). We installed a bigger different brand of fan in the lounge room and it doesn't have this problem.
The electrician is here again now. Does anyone have any idea about why this is happening?
Thanks Kathy
Hi, thanks for reaching out to us about this. We haven't come across this issue before, however we have heard that this can happen with LED lights. Rest assured, we want to resolve this for you as soon as we can. Our customer service team informs me that they've received an email from you today and that they've already responded. If you haven't received their response, please email service@fanco.com.au .
Hi Fanco, Thanks for the prompt response. The electrician worked out there was a wiring problem in the house - where the neutral and positive wires were wrongly connected at a junction box leading to the fans, and this is what was causing the lights to glow when off. All fixed now. The fans are working perfectly!
Thanks for the update Kathy, we're glad it's sorted now!
