What does it mean when my straighteners are beeping with a red light
My ghd are in a lock mode?
I no longer use GHD products as mine was faculty and they didn’t replace it .

Mine did the same. GHD told me to buy a new straightener refused to replace it. Not happy. No more GHD for me
Totally agree with you. I bought mine one last year. Up till now they have changed mice 5 times but refusing to return my money.

No, not normal. I would contact where you purchased your GHD from as it sounds like a fault. They should replace it for you.
My ghd straightener has begun to beep and a red light is flashing. I did love this appliance and am disappointed as it it no longer heating up. I am really reluctant to purchase this brand again. It appears that this model is defective and should never have been sold. The god model that I had before this was fantastic and I used it for 5 years.

Contact GHD with your model number and they will look into it for you. This happened to me many many years ago and I had to send back the old one and they replaced it. If it is new it will still be under warranty. I'm talking quite a few years ago. But I did it all online on their website.

It’s normal for the straightener to flash solid red as soon as you turn the switch on. It will then beep and start flashing as soon as it’s hot and this tells you it’s ready to be used. It will continue to flash until you switch it off, if you forget to turn it off the time-out function kick in and beep & turn it to yellow (I think) if you forget to turn off yourself. It’s just the safety mechanism on it... which has helped me on numerous occasions.... Thank goodness!
Hi ive just bought my first ghd v gold, when i turn it on the power switch lights up as a solid red light, then about 10 seconds later it beeps twice and the solid red power button begins to flash, it does heat up but it appears only 1 plate gets hot, then it shuts down after zbout 10 mins. Hi Maxine, mine usually does this when it times out due to inactivity. So, if it’s doing this as soon as you turn it on, then perhaps check to see whether it’s heating up fully. If not, then it sounds to me like there may be an issue with it.

Exact same thing that happened to mine and it has now blown up and no longer works and I can’t get a replacement or get it fixed!!! Send it back before ghd screw you over
