VerifiedI’ve had my glow dreaming for almost 3 years now and it has been a saviour, but lately the white noise has randomly been turning off. I don’t set the timer and it used to go all night but not a lot of the time it will just randomly stop and it wakes my Bub. Helppp because I love it so much but I need the white notice to stay on as long as I need it
Also, it always switches off at random times. Sometimes it will last hours, other times it switches off after 10 minutes or half an hour. It’s always different so I don’t know what’s happening

Is there anyway to turn the humidifier off with out turning the whole unit off? I don’t like leaving the humidifier on for more than 30 mins and hate that I have to cycle through the timers for the whole thing to turn off.
Hi Charmaine. Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately if you set the timer, you cannot only have the humidifier on for a shorter time frame - it will run the entire time. The humidifier is a really great function to help with your little ones sleep - is there any reason you wouldn't want it on for the duration of your little ones sleep?
Have had my glow dreaming for 14 months & it just started making a terrible noise. Like metal being put through a blender. This randomly happened in the middle of night so it wasn’t dropped or water damage. Any tips? Annoying that it happened just outside of the warranty

My machine keeps turning off or down after 10 minutes or so. It won’t stay on the loudest setting. Super annoying. I’ve turned it on/off a bunch of times. Doesn’t change, still faulty. Any suggestions to fix it other than through it out?

They gave me a generic solution. Didn’t work. They should just straight up send you a new one. It’s obvious there’s a fault.
Hi Max They sent me a replacement (after requesting a video showing the fault). My replacement has now started to do the same thing! It’s so frustrating as it originally started playing up after only 2/3 months of use. It’s a disappointing experience for us so far!

Mine is doing the exact same thing! It goes to an almost silent pulsing noise and can’t be turned back up properly without unplugging it. But it happens every single time so it’s infuriating. And it was already replaced once with the same fault. It seems to be a common issue in here!

I’m also having the same issue, this is my second unit. The first one I have had for 3 and a half years and had to throw it out as it would be on the loudest setting then would go real quiet during the night, it kept on doing it until one day it turned off and wouldn’t turn back on. My unit I’ve had now I’ve had for only 8 months and it is doing the exact same thing. Last night I had to get up 3 times to turn it off at the wall and back on for it to be loud again! Super annoying and clearly a common problem. This needs to be rectified or they are going to be getting a lot more bad reviews!
Yup. That’s the exact problem. And worse thing is glow dreaming know about it and still make you jump through hoops to get replacement. Which I still haven’t received.

This is happening to us too! At first it was a couple of times here and there and now it is constant. We can't use it anymore as the risk of it waking my 10 month old is too high. Its not even a year old. Very disappointed. Would like a replacement please, though that doesn't look like a promising solution either going off previous comments!!

Hi my humidifier isn’t working, there isn’t any steam/ water coming out but has water there. Please help ?
You have to press the timer button to turn the humidifier on, press it once for 2 hours twice for 4 and 3x for 10 hours. I've been wondering for 3 nights why the water isn't coming out ha!

Ami is completely right - fill the water tank with about 400ml fresh, cold tap water, then replace the lid and tap the Timer button to start the humidifier :) Ensure the water tank isn't too full so there is enough room for the cool mist to generate. The noise on our machine keeps turning off by itself after 5 or so minutes? Anyone have any advice to keep it going during the night?
All 3 of mine have done this - contacted customer service and was told to “unplug and plug back in” which obviously didn’t work. Then was told I must have been pressing the buttons too hard and it’s broken it or not waiting 3 seconds each time I push a button !! Worst product and worst customer service !! To think I tried 3 times for the same result makes me so annoyed

Hi do I need to add new drops each night in the glow machine if not how long do they last? thanks
If you fill the humidifier to the full line the water usually lasts about 12 hours. So I usually fill it in the night and again in the morning with fresh water and fresh drops.
Hi Clare! It's important to change out the water and drops between each use, and to wipe out the unit between each use too. Refill the unit with fresh water to just below the Max line and add the recommended dosage of drops for your little one based on their age. A bottle of essential oil should last about 2 months, depending on how much you use and how often xx
How do I switch from highest red light setting to lowest without going through the green lights?
Hi Janine! if you hold down on the LED light button it turns the light off meaning you can just press it again to go to the lowest red setting
What sound setting is best for a 3 month old? On the wedsite it recommends the loudest noise, but it seems to loud for her little ears and my partner and I can’t sleep with it on.
Hi Jacob! Thanks for your question - start with the loudest setting while your bub is settling and you are still awake and moving around the house. The loudest volume is calibrated to be within a safe range for newborn ears, while still being loud enough to cover as much household noise as possible, preventing unnecessary wake ups. If you find the loudest setting too loud for yourself once you turn in for the night, you can then turn the volume down to the lowest setting overnight. Does anyone's glow dreamer white noise automatically and randomly switch the the lowest volume without touching it and then you have to turn it off at the power point to be able to access the highest volume again?
Yes, we have had three machines and all have eventually started doing this.
Is it faulty or just the machine? It's so annoying and everytime we turn it on and off at the PowerPoint my son wakes up.

Please follow it up with glowdreaming Simon. They were amazing with the fault replacement, they just respond via email at 11pm most the time so just have a bit of patience but I found them so good to deal with, I hope you do to.

Why when I fill the unit with water it doesn’t work? I’m not filling above the recommendation so why does it not turn on after water enters the unit? Help!
Do you have to fill with water if only using green light during the day?
Is the light function able to be switched off? I’m very interested in this for the noise and diffuser functions however my daughter prefers a dark room to sleep. Many thanks.
Hi Hayley, yes you can turn it off. It has 3 settings of ‘red’ light for night, 3 settings of ‘green’ light for day &/or you can choose to have it ‘off’ & have no light.... it’s a wonderful, beautiful lamp!, hope this helps you x
my glowdream is no longer playing sound just light, everything looks normal just doeant play sound. Anyone know how to fix this??

Does this humidifier release white dust?
We haven't had white dust :) the oils are so pure
One more question... Has anyone started this with a 2 year old? I can understand it working with a younger child/baby but not sure if it will suit a toddler. She is used to quite a dark room, and I'm concerned that the light will frustrate her rather than sooth her. She also currently takes 2 hours to wind down after going to bed, regardless of what we do (& we've tried many methods).
My daughter was two when she started using it and it has worked really well. She is used to a very dark room too but loves the red light. If you read the science behind it, it explains how it works in the brain :)

Do people take this with them when they go travelling/sleep somewhere else? I'm concerned my children will learn to rely on the unit & then not be able to sleep/resettle without it when we go away for a wknd...
In all honesty, I would 100% take it with me if we were going away anywhere no matter how long for. If it is some kind of familiarity for them in a new/unusual space and it means they will be more likely to sleep then I do not see any issue with it :)
