Google Pixel XL (2016) Questions & Answers
Hi all and hopefully someone at Google or Telstra,
I cracked my google XL 2 screen 4 months ago. I went to Telstra whom I purchased the phone from and was told it would cost 350 dollars to fix!! So went to other smart phone repair guys I had used back when I had an Iphone. They could not source the supplies to fix the phone! SO I went back to Telstra, who then looked into it a bit more seriously and told me it would cost 570 dollars!!! This exorbitant price for a screen repair compared to an iphone or samsung was never flagged by Telstra. Is that an acceptable practice? Not so sure. Wonder what the community thinks. But from GOogle's perspective, how do they expect people to really adopt their produts if they don't address this issue of lack of supply and outrageous cost? If they are serious about their product development they should distribute the parts readily to make the cost of repairs drop. Because now I''ve gone back to using an old Ipone and I won't o back to their products although I was pretty happy with it before all this happened.
