I have replaced all the parts on my Hayward Ultra Vac but it still goes VERY slowly and in small circles without cleaning the rest of the pool. Have the pool flow valves set properly as well and it worked fine with this setting for a number of Years till recently. Help?

Yes well the same thing happened to me. My advice is it is only going to get worse so cut your losses and buy a different brand and make sure you warn your friends not to waste their money on this brand either!

I have the Pool vac and recently it hardly moves forward. I have cleaned everything and can say the suction from the pump is all clear with strong flow through. I checked suction capacity of the Vac at the base and it is strong. The feet move strongly but there is zero forward motion. What can I do? The Vac is 12 months old.

Have it dealer serviced under the warranty Victor. Hayward have up to a two year warranty on most items. e.g. external link

You need the correct feet for the type of pool surface or it wont move. I have a tiled pool so I have ceramic feet on mine and works perfectly. I had the very same problem with my Hayward Pool Vac Ultra. I don't think your vac needs to be dealer serviced. Go to your nearest Pool shop that sells Hayward vacs and parts and they can supply you with the correct feet for your pool surface. Easy as that.

Agree with Ian probly wrong feet your unit should have come with different options for different pool surfaces

Will the XL ultra navigator wings fit the older Ultra navigator pool vacs?

The pump pressure drops after i attach the hayward, it use to ge okay and now will not clean the pool

When I use my Hayward the apparent pressure falls & this is due to the restricted flow of water to the pump. This can be adjusted by the valve on the opposite end of the pipe to the cleaner by letting more or less water thro' the valve (screw in & out)

I would suggest the following could be the problem:

i) Filter clogged - if cartridge filter swill-out & soak in proprietary cleaner for 48 hrs

ii) Valve on flexible pipe requires adjustment

iii) Restriction in pipe (or damaged pipe causing it collapse under the suction) The indication of this is the pump will pull water thro' the valve & you can hear this

Jon, thanks for the reply but i removed the in line valve and have tried two different hoses with the same result, without the hose and Hayward connected the pump works very well
