What is the lifespan of these bikes? I'm looking to get one but I have a budget so it's going to be secondhand and have some mileage on it. Also, is there any mechanical differences between the older ones and the newer ones aside from the previously answered fuel injection?

I need to change my sprockets, like a little more speed on the highway . What’s everybody using ??

The standard is 14 tooth front and 41 rear. I always changed the front up one on my dirt bikes. You could probably go 15T up front and test it out. DON'T rely on what I'm saying. Ring your Honda Dealer Service Division and get proper advice and a quote. They'll put on a new chain

as well. Ask them about one upping the rear instead - see what they say. They'll tell you which is better for the gearbox and torque spread.

Enjoy your mini Duke

What year did fuel injection start??

I think Honda added fuel injection in 2007 or 2008 onwards. At the same time cosmetic changes were also made.

Hi, can you tell me if VT250F and first VTR 250 engines are the same please?

I had a VT250F and it is basically the same motor with a few very minor changes, funnily enough the older motor has slightly more horsepower than the VTR that replaced it. Both are great little engines.

Im 6 foot 5 and really like this bike but would I look like a clown on it?

Well, I think the question is not how you look like but if it would be comfortable for you. I know someone with similar height driving VTR250 and he said it was comfortable for him. Than I know others who are uncomfortable with even lover height. It must depend on sitting habit, phisiological attributes (flexible or stiff joints). Or whether you want to use the bike for city (shorter rides) or touring, etc... Do not care how you look on the bike. If you are comfortable and you love your bike you will look good on it!
