Hoover air stick pro when I push the start button it work 5 seconds and then I have to push the start button again and it does the same when double push it very frustrating to work with it

Hi,
How often do we need to replace the battery? It has been serviced at Godfrey, nothing is wrong, just need new battery again. We have been needing to change it every year. We use is only twice a week. This ends up to be quite expensive. Is there a newer battery that will last 3-4 years like other stick vacuums?
Hi Eve, Unfortunately we are unable to advise of the lifetime on batteries as this will depend on charging, usage, maintenance and other environmental factors. To help prolong that life of the battery, please ensure the machine is maintained/cleaned after each use and replace the filter every 6 months and to also turn the charger off, or remove the machine from the charging base, once the battery is fully charged. Hi Eve, We have given up on this vacuum and have bought another brand similar type machine. Our battery doesn't last as long as it should and now is dead. If we have to buy a new battery every year it makes this a expensive machine to run with batteries costing between 140-150 dollars. Going to the tip now?

The power head brush keeps stopping then won't pick up
Hi Tony, There may be a blockage, we would recommend taking the brush out and giving it and the bearings a good clean. We would also recommend checking the filter and neck of the head (behind the brush). My Airstick pro’s power head runs for a bit then stops. It’s got a new roller brush and battery, recently replaced… now the head stops after it’s been running for 30 seconds or so. Turn vacuum off, restart and the roller spins again, then stops again…. Is this a sign that the power head also now needs replacing?

how to install battery air stick pro cant seem to open
Hi Jan, The battery for this machine is located in the back of the handvac. Release the handvac from the stick, pinch the release button on the cover and pull down and out. From here the old batter can be pulled out and the new one placed in. Opening the cover is shown on page 7 of the user manual. I to purchased hoover stick vac and going by the price and demo it appeared to be just what i wanted. I have had no end of issues. New batterys and in to Godfreys on occasions to try and sort the B*****y piece of C**p.Take it to Godreys and it takes forever to get it back. Judging by the reviews many have nothing but negative statements. i just dont know what to do should I just cut my losses and purchase anything except a Hoover. Joan G
