Hi Megan, The main cause of this occurring is a blocked filter. The filters do need to be cleaned after each use and replacement every 6-9 months depending on use. Replacement filters are available through Godfreys, please see the below link. external link  Regards, The Hoover Team

Hi Coral, The round sponge filter goes in the top of the canister, underneath the round HEPA filter. The smaller rectangle sponge filter goes in the opening to the machine just underneath where the canister connects to the machine body. Regards, The Hoover Team

You may want to try and get a rod to push through the hose clean out barrel and filter look under the roller brush where it moves can be blocked there .or take to a repair place find out from the place you made purchase from or look in your manual where to send for repair. Or get air hose to see if anything can be blown out . Good look

Hi Catherine, The rod and hose are all able to be removed from each other, there is a button just below the join that needs to be pushed down while pulling the rod and hose apart. Thanks, Godfrey G, I take your point. I still think a more definite way of fixing that filter into place would have been good - perhaps newer models already have that.

Not sure I don’t touch electrical I don’t know about take back to place of purchase like I purchased mine from Godfrey’s and get any repairs done there. Good luck

Hi Fred, We do not recommend disassembling the machine yourself as it could be a hazard. We would recommend taking your machine into your Godfreys store to have booked in with one the the technicians. Alternatively, if the item is outside the warranty period, you are welcome to take it to a local repair agent for further assistance. Good luck with your machine.

No sorry never new there was carpet made from recycle plastic bottles best contact manafacturers to ask that question or were you purchased the carpet from to get an answer.

You may want to call up where you made the purchase from to see if they can help or look in manual to see if there is a repair centre to take too .check with Godfrey’s they have spare parts they maybe able to help you if you live in Australia .some times some models get discontinued so unable to get spare parts .or try google type in model number to what comes up for you .or call up Hoover to find out.

Hi, When was the last time the filters were replaced? Even with rinsing them they can block and cause the machine to overheat and turn off, the machine then won't turn on until it has cooled down. Filters need to be replaced every 6-12 month in bagless machines. Regards, The Hoover Team

We replace them every 6 months, but actually wash them with warm water and a bit of soap & rinse well. Never had a problem before now. I suspect the motor is gone.

Hi, thanks for your replies, it's appreciated. I found one that's open right now and we can bring it in for them to take a look. I would really appreciate if you have any recommendations of another Hoover vacuum (model) as we do like the Hoover brand, I would have just liked it to last a bit longer for the money we paid. Try cleaning the filters. The HEPA filter at the back can be tapped on the concrete to clean or Godfrey’s have new ones. The other filters can all be washed out with water and this should fix your problem
