Hi Fred, thanks for reaching out. The Oxygen & the Trade Map gas cylinders are both disposable, the Oxygen will run for approximately 20 minutes and the Trade Map approximately 45-60 minutes, depending on use. We hope this helps, but please let us know if you have further questions.

There's nothing but negative comments to this product, they are only small cylinders after all, and at a guess, most people would open the valves fully rather than say 1/4 turn just like with barbeque bottles!

That is all you get out of a bottle. You get 10 minute of heat enough for brazing at the most. I took the set I bought back to who I bought it from and asked for a refund. In comparison I bought an second hand oxy acetylene kit which needed the oxygen "E" size oxygen bottle refilled which cost me 115 to get filled which I was able to use for welding and even cutting for about an hour all up and could not see on the dial that I had used any gas. I sold it all after use so it did not end up costing me anything.

They need to stop selling this kit as it is not fit for purpose.

Thanks Ralph for the reply, yes I agree it's not fit for intended purpose, I can only imagine how many people throughout the world that have become stressed and frustrated from being let down by this product, I wish I'd reviewed it first, I'm looking into proper full size oxy acetylene kit and when I get chance I will be returning hot devil rubish to Autopro port pirie S.A for refund, cheers Levi.

youll get more consistent heat burning the bank notes used to pay for this. Try the Tradeflame or equivalent that use the white oxy bottle. Theyll give you about an hour. You can fit those with an adaptor that also allow the larger bottles - type E etc

Hello Shane, The oxygen cylinder will last approximately 20 minutes when the flame is set correctly. If the initial trade map 'dirty flame' is too large, then the oxygen will be used up far more quickly. We recommend between 70-100mm for the initial 'dirty flame' prior to introducing the oxygen. Takes too long to set the flame as valves are very touchy ansd i understand about the flame. Have been using oxy equipment for the past 45 years bought this kit for home as now retired.

I have not tried to substitute the cylinder. I believe, from what I've read, that the cylinder attachment on the Hot Devil is unique and the hose attachment will not interchange with other bottles.
