Where can I get new blade screws as a blade has flown off (luckily at low speed) - screw has sheered .

Remote battery was down to 6V so changed it for brand new, confirmed 12V. With the new battery it won't send a signal. Back to old battery and again sends weakly???

I’ve got a Hunter Pacific Revolution fan. Its 5yo. Up until now it’s been perfect. However, now it won’t turn off when i turn it on. I’ve put new batteries in the remote controls, turn off at mains for 30 seconds. I do the ‘learn’ on remote, etc (which I’ve done numerous times over the years). Now to turn it off I have to turn it off at the mains.

Two of my four fan remotes drain batteries in under 2 weeks whilst others last months. Why? I have already changed the fan receivers in all 4 after two years at great expense and now the remotes are a problem What is the problem !!!!

I bought 11 Hunter Pacific fans 5 years ago approx and the one I use least is only running on one speed is it worth getting fixed or is it cheaper to replace it ?

I have 3 of these fans (5 years now) and the remote batteries only last a few weeks at best. Is this common?

Philip

Sorry - I don't know. In the three and half years I have had this fan I have changed the battery twice. I only changed the battery in case it was too "weak" to reach the receiver - this was not the case. Hunter Pacific tell you to change the battery when you have a problem in case the battery is the problem. I doubt that the battery had expired.

Hi we have 5 of the top of the range Revolution Fans about 4 years old. They have a 7 speed remote that doesn't have any display just buttons to go after or slower. They use a 23 battery. We always seem to be replacing batteries but they probably last about 6 months. However its not as though they get much use either so I reckon the remotes somehow drain the batteries. Don't know how

I have three of these fans and controllers and one controller consistently gets flat batteries in weeks while the other two last for months

Has anyone had the remote going out of sync with the fan we've only used the fan a few time?

yes having lots of trouble with mine too

Try taking the ceiling cover off the fan and unplugging the power supply from the module for 30 seconds (three pin plug), plug back in and follow the directions on the back of the remote control, that's the only way I can get mine to work after every power outage.

Why do the blade screws snap causing blade to crash land? Typhoon 52" stainless steel. Rella

As I stated, I have purchased several different brands of ceiling fans over the years for the different houses I have had. Of all the brands, HP has been the least problematic. They are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but they have caused the least grief. Some of the others were ridiculously expensive and useless at moving air.

I just wish they would find a way to self-clean. That's my main whinge about any ceiling fan. As for the screws, especially with the stainless steel one outdoors, I remove the blades annually and give the whole unit a thorough clean. Never had problems with the screws and it's been there for 4 years now. BTW: I use a stainless steel polish on the blades, hoping to minimize the build up of dust on the blades.

Over the last five years, I have replaced all previous 5 ceiling fans with the Hunter Typhoon. The only issue was with one of the remote controls. This was a known problem with that particular model of remote (not the fan.) and Hunter sent out an electrician to replace the unit. Considering I live in Brisbane and do have Air Con installed, the AC is hardly ever used, and never at night. Interesting is that we use the AC more in winter than we do in summer, while the fans are on most of the time. The fans handle everything, as it right now as I sit and type this.

I didn't mention this in my original post but I had this problem too, another reason I won't buy this brand again. Initially the HP reps, situated in another state, would not acknowledge the problem but then relented and had their local rep come and replace the capacitors in the wall unit, it improved the situation but not entirely. I gave up on any further contact but about a year later a friend mentioned that they had an electrician coming to fix their HP fans which had the same problem as mine. They were told there had been a bad batch and they were replacing capacitor in wall unit and ?capacitor in the motor itself. I phoned the suppliers and they sent an electrician who fixed both wall unit and motor for the fans so they functioned as expected! Then about two years after initial instillation fan blades started to drop. Since I posted the original I've lost more blades from fans installed a year after the first lot so they have to have been receiving bad batches for at least a year, or they all ended up in the Northern Territory!
