ICH iCleaner 120 Questions & Answers
Where in Darwin can i get hold of replacement sponge wheel sleeves for ICH120
I have bought replacement tracks for my i-cleaner ICH Roboter vacuum. How do i fit them?
You can either take it into your local pool shop or have a go at replacing it yourself. It's not a difficult DIY with the right tools. See the following link - external link
Thanks Aaron, but that shows how to replace the sponge wheel not the tracks, although i assume the disassembly is similar, although it doesn’t show how to remove the track from the side track/cog assembly.
I absolutely love my ICH Roboter iCleaner -200 until the drive belts broke. Despite spending time searching for replacement I failed to find a pair. They are grey in colour and have 48 external blocks in each of them. Can anyone help ???
Frank, the drive belts are easy to replace. You can purchase the parts directly from Robo-Tek external link If you are however struggling to replace the belts yourself, simply take it into the store if you're in Victoria and are able to. Or, take it to a local pool guy who I'm sure for a few bucks would be willing to replace the belts for you. Just order them from the store first.
can i change the timer without remote please
Sophie, when you're not using the remote, it goes into automatic mode...which from my understanding is the 2hr timer. I don't think you can change the timer without it. Are you missing the remote to change the timing? You can purchase a new one here for $74 external link
I have one somewhere. How do i change the timer to 2 hours please and thankyou.without remote
Can you buy and change a floating cable on ICHRoboter iCleaner 120 yourself or does it need to go into a workshop? The machine is about 7 years old.
Have just replaced the tracking belts on our ICH cleaner, after 1 broke? However when we put it back in pool only one side is tracking? We put it back exactly as it was and as per video we watched online, any suggestions as to what could be happening ?
Take the side apart that isn't tracking. It sounds like the drive shaft coupling block may not be engaged in the shaft block. these are two tiny metal pieces that allow the right or left side to track separately. Give the store a call if you need to. Steve Scown would be more than happy to help walk you through it. If it's too tricky, you could always bring it in and they could check it for you.
Our remote to stop it climbing the walls wont work - not the battery
Hi I just bought a new ICH cleaner and it worked well for the first 4 hours. Now the impeller runs and blows water to the surface but the robot won't move at all.
I have a ICH roboter and have a problem where I press the power button the controller beeps a few times the cleaner starts moving then after a few seconds it beeps again then another few seconds the controller flashes a blue LED on the 0.5 hr. The cleaner stops and that’s all that happens. Anyone have any answers. The cleaner is around 2/3 years old
Sounds as though it needs a service, Trevor. Usually if you keep up the maintenance up on these things, they last forever. I have two, one as a spare. The small parts that break down are easily replaceable yourself. I've never had anything go wrong with the motor and I've had mine since 2016. I bought the second one as a back up. Give the store a call.
Hi Can anyone tell how much it would cost to have an older ICHRoboter retrofitted with all the current refinements. Thanks
The floating cable twists as the cleaner only seems to turn one way. How do I correct this problem ? Also, the outer layer of the cable has perished where it twists , how do I replace it ? thanks kim
Is the Lch robotic cleaner 120 the same as the robotex plus
Hi Colin and Maree, The iCleaner continued to improve over the last 10 years, and we reBranded last year to Robo-Tek, simply becdause our product was so much better than our branding.... Some of the improvements include the material used in the drive belts, the shape and fitting of the filter Bag, additional protection to the motors within the motor box and the inclusion of a 3 year unlimited hour warranty on the motor box...Recently we have improved the caddy. Basically, the iCleaner was a seriously good cleaner, that needed a few refinements, and we have done that, and will continue to do that over the journey. The grreat thin about our improvements, is they can be retro-fitted to any previous icleaner regardless of its age. if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. PS. The review from 2014 was from a competitor...which we have requested to be deleted many times....
I need to replace the "tracks" as one has broken. How do I do it?
Hi paul, If the tracks are under 2 years, old, there will be no charge to replace them, (in which case call us 03 9357 5662 ) Otherwise, you can order replacement at external link and there is a video under ROBO-HELP that shows how to put them on.
We have the ICHroboter and when we plug it in and press the reset button it keeps shorting out our circuit board how long are the warranties on them ours is 1.5 years old
Our one came with 2 years warranty but this should be mentioned on your receipt. The box did say 3 years but that is apparently for the motor only. Just drop it back at your retailer and they should send it back to the importer. Mine had to be send back to Melbourne for the second warranty issue and did take a few weeks.
If you call them directly they are very helpful re warranty, repairs etc. You may need to send it back by my experience is that they do their best to resolve.
Hi Jade, I assume this is resolved...the warranty is 2 years on the component you are talking about, and it will be covered (as you have reported this well within that period. Firstly try a different circuit in your house. The RCD is designed to identify earth leakages, so it may be letting you know you have an electrical fault/leak in the home. Other than that, it could be faulty, and we will sort it out. call us 03 9357 5662
Hi there, We have had our ICH Roboter for about 10 months and had no problems until now. We cant get it to climb anymore?? Any suggestions...
I would contact them directly as it is under warranty. My experience is that they are very helpful over the phone/repairs if needed.

Thanks Andrew.
Has anyone used these cleaners in a above ground pool and if so how do the go with the ladder in the pool (although it is above ground style I have put it in the ground so I have no worries about the robot moving the walls) thanks
Hi Fred, We only recommend them in Liner Pools where the Liner is atleast .75mm thick. The reason for this, is that Sand can be caught between the steel shell of the pool, and the liner. If the liner is too thin, when any robot touches the wall with anything other than the sponge rollers at the front or rear, there is a risk that the sand will penetrate the liner... Apart from that, where the liner is thicker, the robots work fine. Regarding the Ladder, each ladder if different, but provided it cant wedge its way under it, or drive through, they generally try to climb it, and once the robot sensors it is falling backwards ( Past vertical) it will reverse away from the ladder. Hope this helps..... Sorry for the delay....We just found this review site.

My remote stopped function for turning right and left forward and reverse. New battery fitted still out of order
Yes, I had this happen a few months ago and ended buying another from their website.
If it’s under warranty call them as they are generally good with advice, sorting this stuff out.
What causes a iCleaner-120 To turn in circles rather than move normally?
Hi Paul I have not had this issue. Ours was repaired but they wanted to charge us several hundred dollars even though it was new/within warranty. Their repair service and advice was very good and in the end it was done free of charge as it should have been. It has worked fine since - last 6 weeks or so with no issues and cleans the pool really well. Check the tracking on the rollers or give them a call.
Andrew, this could be a broken component in the drive mechanism, or a faulty button on the control panel, that is getting stuck... If it is not sorted out, please get in touch. Warranty is 2 years, so provide a proof of purchase, and it wont cost you a cent.

Hi I have a vinyl lined pool is this machine suitable to use?
I don't see why not. It's a very gentle cleaner, with foam rollers and suction through filter bag.
I would check with the distributor just in case.
Just purchased the icleaner-120 and having its first outing but its not climbing the walls as per the specs.Precast concrete pool with shear vertical walls 1.7m deep.Have followed instructions with floor only option etc. but as it gets into the vertical position ( first 500mm) there appears to be insufficient suction and it returns back to the floor. Any suggestions?
When new, the sponge rollers have a bit too much buoyancy in them. Give it a few days and see how it goes, but that's what I found after I serviced my unit recently.
