Can I give Inner health to my dog she weighs 5kg, and has been on antibiotics due to surgery.
Have had a kidney transplant and open heart surgery hence i take imuno suppressants plus warefin will the ibs bowell support have any adverse affects on this medication? i case i don't find this page again please email me [email removed]
Robert, this question is one for your renal specialist, not product review, speak to your doctor please! With regard to warfarin you should repeat INR within 3 to 5 days of starting or stopping any new medication and this includes over the counter preparations, as INR response can be very individual and not always predictable, good luck.
I have started taking Inner Health Plus and the IBS Support capsules daily to help improve my immune system and to help manage my IBS. It’s been a week and my stomach is still bloated and sore. I have cut out alcohol and eating salads etc trying to eat a fodmap diet. I am wondering if there is any truth that the bad bacteria dies off when using these products, hence the continued bloating and gassy pain?
You may get a herxeimer reaction from removing alcohol and changing your diet. I guess it depends how much alcohol you were consuming per day and whether the Fodmap diet you're following also is scientifically based
and customised around tested food intolerances and food allergies you may have. If you're continuing to consume foods or ingredients that you have unknowingly developed severe intolerance to, that could also be the problem and account for ongoing bloating and gas, amongst other symptoms or it could be side effect from certain medications you may also be taking... If you have diagnosed IBS, wouldn't your integrative GP or naturopath have done exhaustive gut testing? Hope you get some relief soon, though.
How long does ibs support tablets take to work?

Hi Prin, thank you so much for getting in touch. While there are a number of variables can affect how quickly the product works, we have generally seen good results in terms of symptom reduction over 1-2 weeks. For optimal results we would also recommend trialling a low FODMAP diet as a short term therapeutic intervention. Working with a qualified healthcare practitioner to implement this and monitor this diet is often a good idea. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Team @ Inner Health

Now read here this recomendation and worry "If you do forget to take your Inner Health Plus before you eat a meal, you can take the capsule with food. Can I take them at dinner time?
WHEN TO TAKE INNER HEALTH PLUS
The best time to take Inner Health Plus is when you remember to! For many people it is easier to take Inner Health Plus with a meal. Fortunately the bacteria in the Inner Health Plus Range are resistant to stomach acid and bile so they can survive the harsh environment in your stomach when you eat. Some people find that they prefer to take it before breakfast, others prefer to take it as the last thing at night before going to bed. Fortunately it does not really matter when you take it, so long as you remember to take it. If you do forget to take your Inner Health Plus before you eat a meal, you can take the capsule with food. The only time when it does matter, is if you are taking antibiotics. If this is the case then separate the dose of Inner Health Plus from the antibiotics by at least two hours.
Have you had your Inner Health Plus today?
If you have been taking a course of antibiotics, Inner Health Plus may assist in maintaining the levels of normal healthy flora which have been disrupted.
Hope this helps!
Can I freeze Inner Health Plus (the ones needing refridgeration) so I can take them overseas?
Not sure about freezing them to take with you overseas, but here is the recommended temperature range that you should keep them at during transit from the shop to your fridge at home:
"It is recommended that you store at 2°C to 8°C when not being transported. (Refrigerate. Do not freeze.)"
Hope this helps.
What is the difference between pre biopics & pro biotics?
While they sound very similar and are often confused, prebiotics and probiotics are not the same, although they both help to enhance the growth of healthy bacteria in the body and aid healthy digestion.
Probiotics are types of ‘living’ friendly bacteria similar to those that inhabit our digestive tract. They are naturally found in cultured or fermented foods such as yoghurt, buttermilk, aged cheese, sauerkraut, sourdough bread, miso, tempeh and kombucha a type of fermented tea and can also be taken in supplement form. Probiotics help to maintain healthy levels of good bacteria in the intestines, they support our immune defences, are useful for anyone suffering from the uncomfortable symptoms of bloating, gas or flatulence and may assist in decreasing the duration of diarrhoea in kids. They may also help to restore good bacteria after a course of antibiotics. There are many different types of probiotics and each behaves a little differently. You might be familiar with lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidibacterium lactis, which are often found in yoghurt.
Prebiotics are ‘non‐living’ food ingredients that reach the large intestine unaffected by digestion, and ‘feed’ the good bacteria in our gut helping them to grow and flourish. Prebiotics such as fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and galacto‐oligosaccharides (GOS) are naturally found in many foods including:
Whole wheat products
Rye based foods
Chicory root which contains inulin
Having a combination of prebiotic and probiotic rich foods and topping up with a supplement if needed can help our bodies maintain a healthy balance of good bacteria and support health and wellbeing. They may be especially beneficial for active growing bodies to support their developing digestive and immune systems and to help relieve tummy troubles such as diarrhoea.
