Gday all i bought a 65L fridge and freezer iv plugged it into power and it won’t turn on what would be the problem?

Crikey it could be anything and everything wrong with it! If it’s new, which you don’t mention, take it back ! Get a volt meter and start testing. Sounds simple but true - check the user guide for correct operation - check the power point works with another appliance - check the cords are plugged in all the way - check for any leds or lights or screens on that indicate power is getting to the unit. - try it on 12 v - use a meter to test the power cord (not plugged into power!!) - check for error code on the panel

After that pfftt. Could be the control circuit board, the physical on off button, the motor, a fuse (?), anything. or answer E - all of the above.

Buy a new one.

I have an Ice Cube 65L fridge purchased in August 2016. It's been excellent until now. While travelling I took it out of the vehicle to put it in the annex of our van when I noticed that it had stopped cooling in both compartments. Everything appears to be running and the indicator lights show that the preset temperatures are as I have set them but the actual temperature doesn't reduce in either compartment below ambient outside levels. Same result on both 240v and 12v. I had checked that unit was running at each overnight stop before reaching our destination. Any suggestions?

Did you get any answers elsewhere on this question? Mine's doing the same and trying to work out if controller issue, or tx valve.

Yes I eventually had it checked at the Ironman Dealer in Mackay Qld. It was an issue with the gas and it was decided that it was more cost efficient to replace the fridge under the manufacturer warranty. The dealer was very helpful and good to deal with. Highly recommended.

Hi Debbie, Not sure but have heard that you may have it set too low to start with. Try setting it for about -9 to start with and if that works lower it more later if required . Not sure if it will work but it worked for another person with a different brand fridge.

Had the 65l for 2 years and it has just gone into its e1 warning works fine on 240v but every time it goes on 12v it comes up E1. Is there a reset I need to do?

emjan

Check the troubleshooting section of the manual for resetting instructions. Other than that it could be the 12V computer or the 12V source you're running it from

Just bought mine 65 lt the temperature on right sais -20 when I have set it to -16 the left sais 8, when I have set it to 0 and it doesn't change. Anybody else have this problem?

Johan

did you change over the power supply from battery to mains power at some stage? if this is the case you need to unplug it from all the power sources and use only the one of your choice, not both at the same time as this confuses the electronics in the fridge. I know the manual says you can do that but this is not the case. I have mine for 2 years now, by the way I have the same one as you, and I am using mine all the time, even in the middle of the summer and on the back of my ute under a canopy, and it still stay at the set temp. Very good value for money. Happy camping!!
