I have a 2015 Jayco expanda and when I'm connected to mains water water is coming back out from the tank inlets. Is there an easy way to fix this

Hi folks. Our water runs fine on mains but nothing comes through when off the grid. Water in tank but no luck. Pump is on. Any ideas/tip would be great. Thanks.
Hi Helen, You have said that the pump is on, so I assume that the pump is actually operating as will be evident by the pulsing sound the pump makes while in operation. Does your van have two water tanks? If is the case the water tank selector valve could be in the no tank selected position. If the arrow on the selector knob is pointing up no tank is selected. The selector arrow should point to the front or rear to draw from the corresponding tank or point down to draw from both tanks simultaneously. If the selector is correctly set I suggest that an inspection of the pipes from the tank/s to the pump be made to check for a squashed pipe. I hope that this of some assistance.
Hi Roy. Thanks for your response. Apologies for the delay. Have been unwell. Unfortunately those solutions haven't worked. I have filled up both tanks, although only one is showing on the display in the van. All values are pointing to open so it should draw water from at least one. Plus I can't see any damage to pipes either.
While using 12 volt system Is your hot water system switched to gas as this may help by increasing pressure within the system therefore creating a steady stream of water coming out of shower head and kitchen tape.
How high is travel height with air conditioner ontop
Hi Geoff, It will depend on what brand of air conditioner is installed. A Truma Aventa unit adds approximately 250mm to the travel height.
How do you get hot water to work in expanda 16.49.2. We went away for the 1st time connected water turned on water heater switch but no hot water the whole 2days? Am I doing something wrong thanks

Hi all Does anyone know if there is an inline fuse for the outside light or is it just the one inside the black box .. light was working fine and just swapped it out for a led and now it’s not working at all . Swapped it back to the halogen and still not working ..

Can someone please help. I have a 2013 Jayco expands outback and I found a small metal spring when I pull out the toilet Cassette and am unsure of where it attaches. I see there is small hole in the plastic assembly but can’t work out where is attaches from there. Thanks Jason
Hi Jason, I suggest that you have a look on line for a spare parts diagram for the toilet installed in your van. If the spring is from the toilet unit it will most likely be shown on a parts diagram. The CaravansPlus on-line store is one source of such diagrams that I am aware of. Good luck.

Looking at buying a 2010 expanda. I noticed it has 3 tanks under the van with 2 fillers. 1 filler goes to the 2 bigger tanks and a separate filler for a small tank. Can anyone tell me what this 3rd smaller water tank is for?
Hi recently purchased the 14ft expanda and found the fold out bed rather uncomfortable. You are either sleeping on top of the thin storage box or it drops down on an angle into the fold out section. Has anyone got a solution for this that they've used?

I turn on my hot water switch to run hot water on electric and it trips my main power but it works fine on gas, do I need to change element and thermostat to prevent this from happening cheers Lee

Hi I have a 2015 outback expanda with twin gas bottles on the draw bar it came with a plastic cover from factory covering the bottles, I am constantly refitting cover every time we travel does anyone have a solution or should I just bin it.
I have the open twin tanks without the covers . I’d bin it personally .

I would just bin it. We had one on our 2018 and it was more trouble that what it’s worth. Ours went to the tip

Hi Sam , I have a tap on the draw bar of mine and it runs from mains. Was it installed from new ? Or previous owner set it up ? You might need to trace the line back to see where it goes to. It possibly could be connected to your water tank under your jayco. Have you filled the tank and tried to turn the tap on ?
