Replacing blades is They're a certain direction. I need to be tighten down at. In my book it shows three blades but only have two 42inch
I have an issue with the hydraulic drive in the forward position. I changed out 1 of the drive pulleys and both belts. Cuts great but now when going forward the levers will bind up when trying to push them full forward. Not sure what I did to cause that. Please help.
My Z122R left side hydrostatic drive steering began slowly degrading after an hour of mowing. Eventually the left hand drive unit started making a loud ratcheting sound and the turning authority of left side all but went away. It appears to be leaking hydrostatic oil past the input shaft seal which is located under the drive pulley and fan. These hydrostatic drive units are “sealed” with no drain plug. Can you please tell me what is wrong? I removed the breather from the case to see if it worked. I could not blow through it from either end. The passway was badly corroded and the small round paper disc is dirty. How do these operate? Is it possibly causing pressure to build in the case and push out oil past the pump shaft drive to which the fan and pulled are bolted?
Did you find out anything about this? I've experienced a left side drive issue as well.
Hi Frustrated.. I have the same problem.. Did you get it resolved. At the moment I liik like getting a "goodwill warranty deal" where I pay 1/3 of the repair costs. No quote yet. the unit has only 169hrs but is out of time warranty. I am not happy as the dealer commented that they have had a few of these on the machines with the sealed drive unit.

How to change the hydraulic fluid?
due to the wonderful design by the engineers , there is no way to change it with it being a "sealed" unit. only way that i have found out ,with extensive research would be to take each drive unit off and drain it through the drain ports located on top , poor design , and i probably WILL NOT be buying another kubota!

It has been very good product until this week. Started smoking and using oil like there’s no tomorrow (about quart per hour). Had neighbor look at it who stated probably piston skirt busted. It only has 119 total hours. Has there been a recall on this particular engine or similar problem reported?

I filled my mower with gas...it died in the middle of mowing. Needed gas.... filled again and it died again. But not out of gas. I normally get 3 or 4 mows on a tank of gas. Was told to check the oil...no gas in there. Ineed help.
I.have a 2017 z122r with 188 hours I just bought from the original owner...Had a maintenance records and still looks brand new....When I engage the blades the deck has quite of vibration at low idle, dosen't sound right too me.When you run the throttle up high it is not near as noticeable...I pulled the idler and tensioner pulleys off and they are fine...both spindles are tight with no slack, new blades and yes I checked them before I installed...belt is fine...I'm stumped! Any help?
sounds like pully alignment where belt is not running true. one pully could be off and throws belt out of alignment
I have a z122E zero turn and when the mower gets hot the LH side won’t drive. It has trans oil in there. What else could it be?

my issue with my belt was not a manuf defect in the pully or allignment. it was a defective washer that threw my alignment off. very difficult to detect just looking at it, only made problem show up when pto disengaged. my kubota was 2015. i believe quality control misssed this one.

Mine's been great. 2017 model. Parts are expensive though. Have gone through guard, 1 x set of blades, mower control switch and 2 belts. About 105 hours on it. I would buy it again though.

Why is my 122r 21hp motor looping?
My z122r mower has 50 hrs on it and I can start it within thirty minutes it will stall, go dead and won't run unless you run it full choke. I changed the fuel filter and it ran good for a couple hrs then same thing.
Hi my mower starts fine but after about 20 mins chokes and cuts out. Leave it for awhile and it starts fine but then chokes again What could it be please

Mine z122 did the same thing. After much frustration it was found to be a loose piece of plastic inside the fuel tank which would get sucked into, and block the fuel outlet from the tank. Took months to find the problem.
Choke stuck solid on my kubota z122r - is there something I can do?
its cable operated, so its either stretched or caught , consult the mower shop quick fix

Can the hydraulic oil be changed or checked in these drives ?
Mower runs fine. Will idle fine. When engaged to drive and cut grass, engine dies after just a few minutes. Wait a couplr of minutes it will start back up. Changed fuel pump and spark plugs.??? Any idea why?
