We have the WD11020D1, we have been on holiday for a week and come home and turned on the washer, it did a full cycle and then it said 4 minutes remaining for an hour, it also started making strange noises like the belt was slipping (but it is a direct drive) Any suggestions on the issue?

Hi our machine started making loud noise on spin cycle. Vibrate more than before. Is it possible that suspension parts are the cause Or the rotor driver?

I cannot open the door at the end of the cycle.

Our Lg 7.5kg WD11020D vibrates very badly. It moves across the floor and hammers and damages the laundry door and wall, even when its empty. We have gel dampers from The Good Guys to help but its still going crazy. Could its imbalance be some that's broken inside. If so what. I am tempted to pull it apart but would like to know if its common to this front load washer.

My husband has adjusted the feet to try and get it as balanced as possible. We found not running on that top spin speed keeps it under control. Never buying LG again.

My WD12020D has stopped dispensing water from the fabric softener and pre wash side of the detergent canister. Still coming out the main detergent side. Anyone encountered this problem or know a solution?

Is there another motherboard that will fit wd12020d?

I have a LG WD12020D. Its on a level tile floor and I have painstakingly levelled the machine front to back, side to side, and across both diagonals. I have put non slip pads on the feet but it still wants to shake the house down and walk across the room even with a normal load. Apart from bolting it to the floor I have exhausted my options. The machine is about 8 years old and has always been a bit of a "walker" in the previous house and the current one. The machine is about 8 years old. Any ideas???

I've had similar issues, shaking the house yes, restumped and entire house still vibrated on every spin dancing around the laundry heading for the door. I dont think I can add a pic but having screwed a piece of timber 42x19x580 to the floor in front of the machine's front feet about 2 yrs ago. Yeehaa the machine no longer dances, on rare occasions still rattles a bit but not problematically. Fortunately I'm not renting & it's a timber floor, otherwise best washing machine I've ever come across at any $value. Good Luck.....

I have been having a similar issue , new home , place is stumped , bit in new place machine doesn't have a covering around it like it used to do so it's now walking quite significantly, it's a great machine , have had it years, but would like it to stop shake rattle and rolling so I can get my life back and not keep watching it all time

Hi. My machine has been fantastic but now is stopping at 11mins no matter what cycle it is on

Rob Andrew
Rob Andrew

Sorry Got no idea, I'd have to call a service person, (which would tick me off). If you find out please let us know incase it's a common fault. Goodluck!

If it’s under warranty get your money back as LG sells dud washing machines in my experience. If it’s not under warranty take them to Dept of Fair Trading as washing machines should last a reasonable amount of time based on the advertising on the machine and the price they charge. We will never buy an LG product again.

We have this problem with our machine, stops at 11 minutes for hours if you let it! We’ve always found it is a balancing issue and if you try and rebalance it or put something heavy on the top it clicks over and continues the cycle

Unit purchased on 23/12/2011. Used every day since. Excellent service, until today. Pungent smell from inside. Nothing obviously wrong, only ever used with cold water. Looking to buying another washing machine.

My washer seems to just tumble the clothes instead of spin, and the water has all drained out. It will spin fast with no clothes in it on Spin setting, but when it ends the rinse cycle with clothes, it fails to spin, just tumbles clothes for ages.

cheryl.williams
cheryl.williams

Well it doesn’t spin dry because it shakes and moves across the floor.

I've got the same problem as you have Mr K. It is so annoying because I've taken the rotor off the motor to inspect bearings and had a good look around at the wiring and connectors etc and it is pristine like new. Such a shame to be throwing away.

wd1200d how to spin only?

Jess N.
Jess N. · WD11020D

Our machine has same issue as Kirra above. Clothes have always come out hot (not just luke warm) on cold setting. The hoses have checked and rechecked. Is this a common fault? I want to know if hot water is being used or created when it shouldn't or perhaps heating clothes during spin, but this seems unlikely due to the high temp.

We only have an imbalance issue and can’t resolve but no heat.

My WD12020D machine is out of balance even with a light load. It is level and still walks off the spot, the floor is tile on concrete and the house is on a slab 13 year old house.

I need to know if this particular machine WD11020D heats the water or if it has to be connected to the hot water

Tellasis
Tellasis

Yes it is a cold water connection and the machine heats the water. Please do no buy and LG product, they are not built to last and also in our experience they give you the run around if something goes wrong with the machine. Instead try a Bosch.

My wd13020d1 front loader won’t stay on. It turns on but then switches off after a few seconds then the PF (power failure) code shows up on display.

I’ve tried all of the recommended resets etc but still doing same thing. Please help!

The clip on the door has lost its spring, so now cant use it. I've managed to fet the door off, but looks like the whole assembly is sealed. Does that mean the machine us junk due to one dodgy spring?

Matt73
Matt73

I bought a new clip and spring for our washing machine earlier this year. I just boight ours from one of the online appliance parts. There are four screws that hold the front and back sections of the door together. Just remove these and you get access to the spring and door clip. Maybe take photos of it coming apart to know how it goes back together.

If you have one of the very early model front loader LGs, those clips are no longer available.

Kerrie
Kerrie

Oh thanks. Ive now got the door off and apart and have ordered a new part. Looks like its the plastc part that broke, allowing the spring to fall out. Handle Part was $19 plus $15 postage.Just hope I can get it back together again! You tube helps. I found the french video more helpful than the english. There is a whole door assembly available for $125 if i cant re-assemble.

Suddenly no power at all. I have tried the push the buttons and plug back in thing but nah, that didn't help. I am hoping there is a main fuse somewhere. It washed a load last night. Today no power.

Is there a replaceable fuse somewhere?

Pfern
Pfern · WD13020D

My washer won't turn on, I have tried pressing the power button for 5 sec and then pressing the start/pause button for 5 sec. With power off. Then turn power back on and nothing. Any ideas?
