LG WD1409NPE / WD1409NPW Questions & Answers
VerifiedWhen was this model made ?
After only washing a load of towels, the lint came off them and spread all over my next load of clothes. is there something i can do to prevent this? or did i miss a lint capture or filter? I hope someone has the answer.
Hi. We just bought this machine over the weekend. Like you we washed towels first then some clothes today and they are coveted in lint. Just wondering if you found a solution? Thanks Dale
First I used the ‘washing tub ‘ function on the machine. That didn’t do much. Then I use a wet face flannel or dish cloth and rub off all the filtered lint off the filter (the rubber ring around the machine. ) Every time I wash anything. It’s not great but it’s working, definitely a design fault.
How come when I wash one large towelling bath mat, that at the end of its cycle it doesn't want to spin it dry, it tries, but just won't spin it, I have had to add other dry mats in with it and that seems to do the trick. I have never had a washing machine over the 40 odd years of being married that has had this problem. It also has a problem with one large sheet, it will take a lot longer to end its cycle due to having to keep readjusting the sheet, I assume in-between cycles, because of the wet heavy sheet it doesn't want to spin, after about 5 minutes it seems to again readjust itself and carry on with its rinse and then spin dry. I hate this machine. A hot wash takes two hours, had I known this I would never have bought it. Bought in January 2017 Just hate this machine.
Why does the machine still put clothes out as though they have been through a hot water tank when I have the hot water turned off?
Possibly a fault. The clothing in my machine comes out cool after a wash. Have you checked the water coming out of the taps it is connected to? One of the places I rented had the laundry hot and cold taps plumbed on the wrong way around (blue was hot and red cold!). I didn't figure it out until I actually touched the pipes going into the machine while it was drawing water.
Does any one have the actual times foe the washing cycles?
Thank you.
I generally use the Mix cycle and it takes on average 2 hours 20 minutes to complete.
