I have an S8310. Been working like a charm. However as of today it stopped working but the 'max' light just flashes. I'm a bit handy so taken the unit apart... Ive continuity tested both the main switch and the cord. Both seem fine. Also took the motor out, all seems clean, brushes are OK and spins fine.. but still not working. What else do I check? Could it be the PCB?

I have a Miele Complete C3 vacuum cleaner. The lid to the accessories compartment has become loose. When I can't close it properly it starts hissing and loses suction. I've removed all the accessories in case one was causing it to jam but that hasn't helped. Please help.

Miele s8310 Hello, my vacuum Miele s8310 does not start. It just shows orange light on program for a second and then stops. The engine does not start. I tried cleaning it, changing all the filtres and changing bag. Do you think it has something to do with the engine or with the cord?
A friend of mine had the exact same issue. Tried to bypass the speed control board by shorting the triac in the motor. It ran for a few minutes then burned the motor due to overheating. The conclusion is that you will need to replace the speed control board instead. But the cost of getting a new board maybe too expensive for the repair.

After changing the bag in my Miele S8360 and closing the cover the blue filter (air filter) keeps blowing out of its spot thereby cutting the vacuum of the cleaner
Richo,53, we can not complain about the two Miele's that we have had, they have both been fantastic, so I would suggest that you take it back to where you got it from and if it is older then ring Miele and ask them what you might be doing wrong or is it something that you can do something about, otherwise take it into the shop that you got it from..
Hi Richo, without pictures its a littke awkward. But there are four filters in the pricess. 1. The bag which slides down into the blue plastic holder. It makes a soft click once its secured in place. 2. The soft white filter (that needs to be cut to correct size) that fits into the blue plastic holder behind the bag. 3. There is the larger soft white filter which, again, needs to be cut to the correct size and is placed under the HEPA Filter. 4. As mentioned, the HEPA filter. So I am going to assume you were speaking of No.2? So, if the size is slightly larger than it should be, then the plastic holder can/and does pop open. I'd re-visit checking the correct size. Then press closed till it clicks comfotably in place.
I have an s8360 and the spring in lid to accessories compartment has popped out . How can I fir it back in so lid will close?
I have a Miele Complete C3 Model SGFH0 which keeps having problems with dust bracket not releasing dust bag (jammed tight so have had to use knife blade to lever out. Recently the dust is not going into the bag but in the body of the vacuum cleaner. Does the bracket need to be replaced? It seems jammed too unless I am not removing correctly. Even the unit is hard to open sometimes... How do I fix this?
I have the same problem with my Miele. the dust bag bracket came right off and exploded dust into the bag space as well as displacing the motor filter inside. So dust blew right into the motor. I don't know what to do beyond spending too much money to travel to a dealership and the cost of repair if it can even be repaired.
Is there a reset method or a reset button to make the motor work again, as the light comes on for a second, but nothing else happens
Mielle c3 the spring as popped out of storage lid now wont open where does the spring go?

A great vacuum cleaner but a problem has arisen. The hose where it is connected to the plastic plug that plugs into the cleaner body has started to tear away from the plug, thus reducing the suction. There seems to be no way to get to where the tear is to tape it. Does this mean I have to buy a whole new hose?
Yes, I checked mine and found that the plastic connector to the body of the cleaner is not removable from the end of the hose. Looks like you may need to purhcase a new hose.
How can I reset the vacuum indicator , I changed the bag and still red and the machine didn’t work and give max alarm ?

My c3 cat & dog Miele vacuum I have changed the bag but the lid is stuck open it will not close I’m afraid of braking pressing down on it .. it appears to be jammed open can anyone help me ?
Give it a push. It cracks but that’s normal
Thank you, did contact manufacturer direct too, but in the end I sprayed some WD40 on the arms of the lid .. hey presto went straight down !
I have a Miele C3 complete Brilliant. I have an on going problem of dirt and dog hair does not enter bag but fills canister outside the bag. I have had it in our vacuum shop several times and it works for one time and goes back to filling canister and making a big mess. Very disappointed as I have to spend 200 dollars each time I take it in. Let alone paid over $1500.00 dollars for this terrible machine. Please advise
I have a SGMA3 Model (Complete C3 Cat and Dog) and the overheating red triangle light comes on. Didn't use it over a day, but still the same thing. Pulled the full length of the cord as the manual said, still the same thing. Machine is just 55 weeks old from date of purchase. What do I do?

Yes, turned out that the piece that the bag inserts into is supposed to be loose/ springy. It had got caught in the lower half of hoover and once I released it, it worked fine. Apparently the spring can fall out too but luckily mine hadn’t. I bought it in DID electrical and they demonstrated the problem to me on another model and told me they had spare springs if it ever falls out.
I have a strange problem with my Miele vacuum cleaner - my third Miele. The bag is full, and as usual, I just pull on the ring grip To replace it like I have many times and for many years... it’s stuck! Nothing I do can release it. It’s as if it’s caught on something! Any suggestions? The blue frame it sits in just keeps popping out, but the bag stays put!

I fixed it myself! There’s a small part at the front of the blue frame - looks like a tongue between the 2 arrows - I just gently pulled on that and the bag came straight out!!!
My Miele cat and dog vacuum head makes a squeeking noise when pulling the head back towards you. Is there a simple fix?

I have the exact same problem, the noise is unbearable and happening on 2 new machines bought for guest houses I run. have to wear ear plugs to use them!
