What is the loading capacity of the W3933 model please?
I have a miele W3933 was washing machine. the detergent draw needs to be replaced. I can't find the part number for the draw and when I contact miele they tell me someone will be in contact in 8 to 10 working days. Miele also advise that the particular part for that machine is not available. All i want is to replace the detergent draw. no service call out needed. with kits this is a long time to be without a washing machine.
Have a 2nd hand Miele w3933 and at the end of regular wash cycle it finishes but the load is still wet and water not fully drained. Needs to have a 2nd spin only cycle to complete. Also, water fills the drum when not in use. Are these issues related.
Hi Matt. Had the same problem, I thought something wrong with the electronic board but Miele technician came and said not, he was right. After many years of use and mostly on cold water setting the internals and pipes were clogged with grease, grime and lint. TO FIX - Give your machine a thorough clean - all accessible pipes, take the lid off to access the internal pipes and clean them as best you can with a long metal handled 15mm pipe brush. Keep flushing pipes with hot water as you do this and the dirty water comes out the drain outlet, so have it open and a tray to catch the mess. Lastly ,clean out the drain outlet. Then you will need 5 x 200g containers of Miele Intense Clean. Run the cotton cycle at hottest 60 degree setting with one whole container of Intense Clean -no clothes. Repeat same Intense Clean the next day, then once a week for the next 4 weeks, and problem solved. Thereafter use Intense Clean twice a year and use a hot cycle more often to dissolve build up of grime. This Miele W3933 front loader has been fabulous, mine was made 2007 & used over 5000 cycles, operates flawlessly.
Will a W3933 still work with a plain hose, rather than the waterproof system 'aquastop' 5729732 ?
Hi. We have just bought a 2nd hand Miele w3933 washing machine and are doing our first wash. We’ve chosen cold on the automatic cycle but the water is hot. The covers with the red and blue dots on them for the waterproof system broke and weren’t on the water pipes when we got it but from the pipe diagram in the instruction manual, it looks like we have connected the hot and cold tapes correctly. Can you pls help with possible solutions? Should we try swapping the pipes to the other water taps?

Hi do I open the filter door at the bottom left hand corner of the washing machine?
Hi Michael, behind the detergent draw fascia is an orange spatula. Use it to pop open the filter door at the bottom left. Place a shallow container below to catch the excess water. Unscrew the filter and wash under water. Be sure to firmly close the filter when screwing back in. Kind regards, Joel.
Machine was being used on "Silks" cycle, had 10 mins to go when I had to leave the house. When I returned, all lights were off on the control panel and I can't open the door to remove washed items. There are no problems shown on the electriciy power board of our residence. What can I do to re-activate the machine and open the door?

My Miele tells me the "water system has been activated" and to "close the stop clock". can anyone advise? I have turned the machine off, water off, cleaned the filter but the machine still beeps and displays this message
Hi Lizzie, thank you for your question. The Waterproof activated close stopcock has possibly reacted to the water protection system. You will need to book a service call to have a Miele technician look into this. You can book a service using this form here external link or you can call us on 1300 464 353. Kind regards, Miele.
How can I adjust the time settings on my Miele W 3933?
Can anyone help me?
Turn the machine on, then simultaneously press both menu buttons under the display - the Settings menu will appear. First thing is Language selection, which you can skip by pressing Continue, the next thing is Time. Using Continue and OK set it and then keep going through the other options with Continue - may I recommend activating Anti-crease option which comes turned off by default from factory but is a great feature. It gently rotates the laundry in small intervals up to 30 minutes from when the cycle finished until you open the door. So if you don't attend to it right away the laundry doesn't just sit there creasing. Then Continue until you see Back, press OK which will let you out of the Settings menu. Good luck!
When cycle is finished "check detergent" appears and clothes are not spun properly. Can anyone help?
The only time I have seen this message is when either the wrong washing powder or too much washing powder was used and over-sudsing occurred.
I always use Omomatic and follow the dosage instruction given by the machine.
I'm disappointed with the Miele W3933 purchased five years ago replacing my 1998 model. The 1998 was far better at cleaning and spinning drying than the W3933. After numerous calls to the service department and two Miele technicians visiting relating to an ineffective spinning cycle which requires my intervention to purge the water from the filter area after every second wash. The first tech blamed the Amway washing powder - after 43 years with no problems. The spinning problem remained even with Miele powder and weekly hot washes put through the machine. The second tech removed and cleaned the piping which was clogged with slimy sludge after a year of using Miele washing powder. I was surprised how small, narrow and the high number of angles existed in the outlet pipe compounding the draining of the water during the spin cycle. The machine has returned to the long standing and increasingly frustrating dilemma of not functioning in the spin cycle effectively. Please advise a remedy.
I have not encountered this problem with my Miele W3933. There is a tiny amount of water left behind in the door seal at base of window, but otherwise it always drains sufficiently. I think sometimes you get a lemon amongst a run of OK machines.
