Miele W1 WKG130 TDos AU Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPNs: 35904027 and WKG130I have a non twindos miele machine. I was given some twindos detergent. Can I measure it into the dispensing grower to use it?
good morning Sherone, thank you for your question. Miele would not recommend the use of this detergent in a dispenser drawer. The TwinDos detergent is highly concentrated, with the Phase 1 and Phase 2 detergents dispensing with water at different rates throughout the cycle. Use of this detergent may cause bleaching or discoloration of your laundered items.
Hi, bought W1 2 months ago. Noticed there is no visible sud at all through the washing cycle, but half bottle of each twindos has gone. Is this normal

My Miele twin dos washing machine reads that the twin dos system is empty even when they are not. I have cleaned the machine and the twin dos system but still reading that the twin dos cartridges are empty. The last time I used the cleaning cartridge it also said that it was empty even although it was a brand new full cartridge. Is there a problem perhaps with the sensors in the machine ?

After running my machine I always get a message "Hygiene Info" displayed. I have run the machine cleaning programmes - with the TwinDos cleaning fluid sold to me by Miele - but the message still appears after every cycle, be it washing, rinsing or spinning. How do I solve this issue?
Thanks for your question, Miele is sorry to hear that you’re having issues. To maintain the hygiene of the machine, carry out a hot wash (above 60°C) at regular intervals. “Hygiene” will appear in the display to remind you to carry out a hot wash. This reminder will appear regularly if you are only washing at low temperatures. To understand the cleaning requirements, please refer to page 25, 43 and 58 of the user manual. external link If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out to a member of our Customer Care Team on 1300 464 353. Have you cleaned the filter as well. We put a try underneath it to catch and water but find the filter also needs a clean on a regular basis,
The cotton cycle takes WAY TOO LONG. Is there a way to decrease the time it takes. (the rapid cycle leaves things with too much water/ heavy)
Thank you for your question. The "Short" feature can be selected. To understand this feature further, please refer to the user manual under the heading of Extra Options on pages 45 and 46 - external link Alternatively, please feel free to reach out to a member of our Customer Care Team on 1300 464 353. My Miele Twin dos washing machine will periodically stop on the rinse cycle. This does not happen all the time and I never know when it will happen. What could be causing this?

The # 1 container, blue solution, seems to leak a bit. Not continually but it is a mess in the compartment. Any answers?
I have the Miele W1 Power wash and Twin Dos machine. I get a notification that the Twin Dos cartridge is nearly empty, but not an alert when it is empty. Are you meant to change the cartridge when you get the nearly empty message? This seems like a waste of detergent as there is still quite a lot left in the cartridge. This happening for both cartridges.
For some reason, they give message that they are empty. This has happened twice. I let the washer wash without soap, took both cartridges out after second load, re entered them and after the third load, the next load lit up for TWIN DOS as if nothing happened. I used EXTRA WHITE option. I personally think it gets clogged from time to time, and just needs to reboot like the cell phones and smart TV's.
I just set up our new W1 washing machine today and put 2 new cartridges into ultraphase 1 and 2. 1 seems to be working fine but after every wash I am getting error “ ultraphase2 cartridge empty “ my machine is only 3 hours old so I am not happy at all especially after the sales person convincing me Miele was by far the best option .
I have troubleshooted by removing and reinserting the cartridge, using a small pin to push the centre of the cartridge in, resetting the appliance but still getting the error after every wash .
Can anyone please help ?
Just got mine yesterday & experiencing the same . Did you get any resolution? I've just placed a service call. My previous Miele went for 18 YRS no service calls. I'm spewing

do you get a notification when to change twindos cartridge?
I have just purchased a new washing machine with Twindos. It keeps saying Twindos 2 is empty even though the container is full and brand new. I have removed the container and reset the status to full but as soon as I run a load it says it’s empty. What is wrong with my machine?
Same here just had the machine delivered. Did you find an answer?
No I didn’t. After about 5 or 6 times of using it the problem seemed to fix itself
Why does my dos system over sud when I'm washing. It then leaks all over the floor. Have just put the towels on a rinse cycle to clear the excess suds and the amount of suds is totally unacceptable. Does anyone have any ideas please?
It sounds like your local water supply is soft. The factory settings are for a hard water supply. You'll need to adjust the amount dispensed downwards until the suds reduce. I did mine some time ago from memory the ratio of blue to white was 3:1. you should be able to see the original dosage amounts and work it out.
why is my nio 1 dos detergent leaking to the base of the machine
Soling sensor doesn’t seem to be working, and how do I know if the Twindos is activated as clothes don’t smell as if they have been washed?
Hi. We are notified that a refill is required, however, one of the cannisters is half full. Do we have to change both at the same time?
No. Have examined this issue at the end of my TwinDos repair video at external link
My washing machine will not switch on. I ran a load of laundry at night and this morning am unable to get the clothes out because the door is locked. I cannot get a service person out to see it as the closest appointment I can get is 12 days away. I have tried the fix offered in the manual but it does not work. Has anyone had this problem?
There is a manual door release ring on the lower left side of your machine, open the door for the pumps and you will see a yellow ring, pull down on the ring and that will release the door.
Good morning, my WD1 Miele Washer Dryer has on several occasions not indicated when the Twin Dos cartridges are empty. I have run a maintenance cycle but it still persists in this. I had a Service engineer out but he said the system was working fine. Any ideas?
Yes. Have examined this issue at the end of my TwinDos repair video at external link
I have found with the container empty fault that the container had a vacuum inside, and the sides of the container would sometime be sucked in, the container would not let the detergent flow out! if you remove the container and press the centre of the outlet button this would allow air to flow inside the container. Make sure this is facing upright our you will have detergent everywhere... this started happening after Miele changed their container about 5 years ago. they used to have a yellow? rubber cap on the outlet and now they have foil, I have mentioned this to Miele though they didn't seem to care and wanted to send out a service technician to check out my machine. Machine wasn't the problem!!
We have exactly the same problem. Did you fix it? Thanks
Thanks, you saved my day ;) Used a pencil to "push" the little cap-on-a-spring of the container, and indeed the container needed some air. After that everything was OK. First time it happened to me in 2y, guess the container was faulty.
EPB. No fix as yet! I found the problem started happening after Miele changed the detergent container years ago, different quality of plastic I'm thinking.
Does anyone know where you can find a parts list and plumbing/electrical schematic for these machine online.
Have a look at the parts list in the downloadable pdf at: external link
