I would like to know what rating these have for Brisbane. I see a major supplier has 3.5 but on charts I have seen on netflix it is 4.5. Wondering if newer ones have that higher rating as I am still trying to work out what energy Australia is phasing out on energy compliance in 2025. Are they phasing out some rating system or labelling system.
What is the differrent between Mitshubishi MSZ-AP25VGD and Mitsubishi DXK09ZSA-W
Hello Andy, Thank you for your enquiry. We are in fact two separate companies! While Mitsubishi Electric manufacture other items such as fridges and hand dryers, we (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) focus on doing one thing well which is making high-quality, award winning air-conditioners.
We’ve been named by CHOICE as Australia’s best air conditioner brand five years in a row and Canstar Blue as having the most satisfied customers of any air conditioner brand for four years in a row – something we’re incredibly proud of and something we believe helps differentiate ourselves from our competitors.
On top of these awards, Finder have also rated us as the best split system brand in their latest retail awards. Our Avanti and Bronte split systems has also been named by ProductReview as the best split system air conditioner.

How much did this unit add to your power bill do you think. Thinking of going from space gas heater to this model for the lounge room. Cost? Recommend?
Hi. Just had this model installed. The humidity goes up by ~10% in the room when the cooling is on. Is this normal? It wasn’t a particularly humid day (I’m in Victoria). I thought it was supposed to decrease humidity. The installer installed it and left, then the electrician turned up two hours later to wire it up. Neither the installer nor the electrician put it through the post-installation check as per the manual. The electrician simply turned it on and showed me a few buttons. I asked the company why they didn’t do the post-installation check and set-up. Are they not supposed to test the refrigerant pressure, etc.? Then another guy came and tested the exit temp and coil temps etc but still did not put it through the standard post-installation test/check and set-up. I’m worried the condensate is bring returned to the indoor area. He said the unit doesn’t have a condensate drainage pump - condensate removal is by gravity. Should i get another air con tech to do a service/test. I’m concerned they are trying to cover up a dodgy installation job. The aircon works but i’m concerned about the jump in humidity even after a few hours on. Thank you in advance. Amriel
Hi, I am just a consumer not a tech. They should have tested the machine. As far as I know, humidity changes as part of trying to keep the room at the right temperature.
thank you for your reply. yes i understand that but was requiring advice from a technical pov. but thank you anyway.
I'm thinking of buying the 3.5kw reverse cycle split system Avanti series AC. I don't want the function where it turns off when there's no movement, and am I able to set a timer for it to turn off an hour after I go to bed? Is the wi-fi unit decent? I already have a Mitsubishi Electric AC with wi-fi and it works well. I like the Avanti series because it's a much smaller sleeker looking unit. The Mitsubishi Electric is pretty big and chunky, it is fine in our huge sitting room but I want one for a much smaller space. 4m x 4m room with 5m high ceilings and 2 sides of the room are almost 100% glass. About 1km to the ocean from our house.
Hello Sunni, Thank you for your enquiry! The Avanti series doesn’t incorporate a motion sensor so any timer you set will function as per normal. It’s our Avanti PLUS series that incorporates the motion sensor.
The Avanti series does however include a sleep timer which allows you to set a time of operation before turning off automatically. You can find more information on this and additional timer functions of the Avanti series on page 18 of the user manual (which I’ve linked below).

The MH-AC-WIFI-1 works well and offers control of the basic functions of the system however performance may vary depending on your own internet and home Wi-Fi network and of course customer expectations.

Hi, I Purchased two Avanti Plus 3.5kw units a year ago and have recently noticed that one of them has developed a ticking noise when on low fan speeds. Is this a known issue as it is now nowhere near as quiet as it used to be? Is there a simple fix for this?
The unit has been run for approx 100 hours, all filters are clean and free of any debris. The noise sounds like it is coming from a bearing or something rubbing internally.
Hi Ben, Really sorry to hear the issues you've been having. We’d suggest submitting a warranty service request via the page below and we’ll get an authorised service agent in your area to get in touch and organise a time to come and assess the Avanti unit's ticking noise. external link

Hi Vivian, You can instruction on how to adjust the brightness of the LED on page 26 of the user manual under 'Display Brightness Adjustment'. You can find the user manual via the page below. external link Hope this helps!
Bought what l thought was a 3.5kw advanti yet the model number on user manual is dxk12zsa-w and on the inverter is dxc12zsa-w is there a reason for this ?
G'day Harry! The Avanti SRK 3.5kW is exactly the same as the DXK12 3.5kW. The specification, it just depends where your installer purchased the unit from, but completely the same. external link

Can I leave my Avanti 2kw on 24/7 at 20 degrees during winter?
Hi Fiona,
While it's possible to leave the unit running for extended periods of time, we wouldn't recommend running it 24/7 for weeks on end.
We'd suggest making use of the systems timers to ensure the space is warm when you need it.
Thank you for your reply. I have tried doing that but found it very hard to follow the instructions so gave up. I will make sure I turn if off when the sun is out during the day.
SRK50ZSA-W Any one know of a iPhone app I can download to the phone. To use as my remote for the air conditioner. Thanks in advance H.

What size room is this unit suitable for?
I would NOT touch this brand !!! Steer clear like the plague You'll regret it
Hi Anne, While the 2.0kW model is usually suitable for up to a space of 20m2, there's a few different factors to consider including insulation type, windows + more so we recommend referring to the sizing chart on page 7 of our split systems brochure which you can find below:

We also recommend speaking to a local installer who can confirm the best sized system for your space. If you visit the page below and leave some details we'll get an authorised installer in your area to get in touch.

What is the difference between MSZ-AP 3.5KW Reverse Cycle Split System Air Conditioner and the SRK 35ZSA-W? Thank you.
The KWs but honestly dont even touch this brand You will REGRET it !!!!!
Hi Viviane, The MSZ-AP is a Mitsubishi Electric model and we're actually separate companies with different products. While Mitsubishi Electric make a range of appliances, we focus purely on high quality air conditioners and like to think our multiple CHOICE Best Brand and Canstar Blue awards highlights our dedication to this.
The SRK35ZSA-W is the 3.5kW model of our Avanti Series and is usually suitable for small to medium bedrooms. We're proud to note that the Avanti series was recently named as the best split system for the second year in a row by ProductReview.
