I ran out Nikken filter cartridges, how can I buy them from New Zealand

How to open the silver stone container? I am going to change new silver stone. It is in round shape and difficult to open.
Don’t ask me, I haven’t had any issues with placing the stones in the base of the filter. Ask a Nikken dealer or Google it. Cheers

I replaced my filter and the rocks a few months ago. Now I noticed there's green stuff (like algae or moss) growing on some of the stones and plastic parts inside. What should I do?

I just bought this unit 2nd hand and found the water it made was extremely acidic, not alkaline as they advertise. Why would this occur?
Ok. Think I’ve answered my own question. With the help of research and more knowledgeable people. The filters and stones are old. Also I used a conventional swimming pool pH test kit which I’ve been told will give an inaccurate reading. Needed to use the pet store pH test kit with bromothymol blue

I understand the mineral stones need to be replaced yearly - can anyone tell me if those same stones need to be cleaned when replacing the water (3 month replacement)?
No they don’t have to be cleaned.
Can you put the entire nikken pimag into a refrigerator? That way, it is always cold. Will anything happen to the system if it is constantly cold? Please provide details!
Maria, I am a consumer, just like you. I am not a provider or a representative for Nikken. I would suggest you go online and find the answers to that question. Besides all that, mine is 13 years old and holds 15 litres, and is 60 centimeters high. The fridge would have to be HUGE.

What to do if you are not going to use the pi water filter for one month.?Do you leave it empty or nothing happens if you leave it full of water.
Hi When I go on holidays for 2-3 weeks I leave enough water in the system to cover the stones. I do not keep it full. If I go away for a longer holiday I empty the water completely, wash the stones under tap water and let them air dry on a clean towel. The ceramic filter can be washed with a cloth or soft sponge and left to dry for future use. Then I remove the cartridge,; which I chuck out. I will then clean all the parts and leave to air dry.
When I am back from my holiday I will put back the stones and the ceramic filter. Put in a new cartridge and fill up with water.
