My Vac will not charge it just flashes
where do i plug in charger on 2in1 vacuum cleaner?
Just received my nilfisk smart and unable to charge the battery, any help?
First ring your supplier then nilfisk.
Why is my Nilfisk stick vac flashing blue and red
hi i just orderd this vacuum and have charged it more then 16 hours and it wont turn on
Gidday Bek. We have bought and used numerous stick vacs now and find that the Nilfist is pretty good and better than most in that price range.. It appears you may have a fault with the battery or charging station. If you know anyone with a multi meter they could at least tell you if the power point is ok, the charging station is ok or the transformer is working. Only other suggestion is for you to chase it up with Nilfist or the place you bought it Sorry I can't help any further. Best of luck. Laurie
No worries I have contacted the people I brought it from just waiting on a reply

Hi. Thanks for the question. I’m not sure what’s happening with your one. Our problem was the battery would not charge even though it was not old. We contacted Nilfisk and they sent us a replacement. Because we are hours away from a city they told us to keep the old one. It took a while but finally got one after a few calls.
I would suggest you get in touch with Nilfisk and hope they look after you as they did us. Hope this helps
Cheers Laurie
Hello. My problem was the brushmotors, driving wheel. It was full of hair, between the wheel and the motor. I opend the 5-6 screws, and bended up, so I could see the little brushmotor. Then I removed the hair, with a small needle, untill I could easy move the wheel, around. Then I put everything back, and the vacumcleaner is now OK.

With regards to the brush getting full of hair, are you aware that you can lift the entire brush roller out? I not in front of the cleaner now but there is a small section that you slide to one end and lift up the cover. You can remove the brush roller out from the cavity to clean.
The only time my cleaner stopped after couple of seconds & would then restart again only to stop after couple of seconds again was when there was a sock stuck in it. I could use the hand held fine but obviously the sock was preventing the brush operating.
Hope any of the above helps
Same here. The hover cuts out to protect the brush motor in the head. Pop out the two small rollers at the front of the head to reveal 2 more screws. You can then remove the head completely exposing the motor completely. Remove hair between motor and nylon belt drive, carefully re assemble and all will be fine.
My battery has died and brochure says I have to throw vacuum out. Surely this can't be true?
I understand this is their policy, don't waste money on another one, buy a dyson, I have a v6 the cheapest model and it is fantastic.
Batteries have gone after not too much use. Can they be replaced or do I have to purchase a Dyson?
I would definitely recommend buying a Dyson, I gave up on my Nilfisk , it just didnt do the job, now i have a Dyson and love it.
Why would you purchase a Dyson? The batteries on the Dyson are built into the machine as well. Do you think Dyson vacs are the best thing out there than your wrong, if you want to spend a 1000 bucks on a stick vac go for it, lg have 3 sticks which i think out perform the v10, i test run the new samsung last week and that also out performed the v10. All of these vacs i just mentioned are under 899 bucks but if yall want to spend 1000 bucks on a dyson good luck and good riddiens.
How to clean filter on hand held part please ?
If you have animals in the house this cleaner is not for you as it blocks up with hair and I have to use a wire to unblock it. I use a brush to clean the filter as water causes minute crystals.
Hope this is of help to you.
I bought a Nilfisk hand held vacuum cleaner about 6 months ago. It is fully charged but after 1 minute or so it cuts out. We have tried leaving it charged for a week no difference. The filters are perfectly clean, I am about to throw it away. My husband let the little hand held run and it lasted good 15/20 minutes, soon as we put it into the long arm it stops. Don't know what else to do with it! Can someone please help?
Hi.
Had the same problem, have you tried washing the filters, particularly the inner one as mine was nearly totally blocked and the cutting out was the thermal overload protecting the motor. Good machine other than that.
We've had the same problem - with two of these vacs! Fully charged, but it won't even turn on!
Hi I'm having the exact same issue. Also purchased about 6 months ago and nothing wrong with filters. Hand held alone runs normal for 20 minutes but once in the long arm it stops after like 30 seconds and the red light blinks until I remove the hand held and reattach. Then it runs again for another 30 secs.
I really hope someone has found a solution to this or otherwise this machine has become pretty useless.
Hi there, I had the same problem. According to manual, 10 secs red light blinking is cause of power brush rotation is restricted. You need to remove brush and open the area with screw driver then you will see many hairs are stick in the motor. Pull the white part from the motor and clean.
It is working perfect now.
Do not throw anything away, every problem has a solution.
I had the same problem. I open 5-6 screws on the cover where the brushmotor is located. I bend up, so i could see the motor. Between the motor and the driving wheele, there vas a lot of hair, which I removed with a thin needle. When I could feel the driving wheel was "free", I put things back, and then everything was OK.
Is the Nilfisk Handy 2 in 1 good for getting dog hair off carpets?
I don't have a dog hair problem in my house, but because it has the rotating brush I suspect it would do a good enough job. The brush combined with great suction is very good.
