hi. my monitor suddenly is "not linked". tried everything but it does not seem to link again. other than this issue and the battery life, i had the monitor since March 2011...i had no issues. Any ideas?
Hi Two_lil_Sunshines, Sorry to hear you are having this trouble. Try to relink using the process below and if this is not successful please call our Customer Support Team on 1300 889 785. Ensure both units are turned off, there are no batteries in the baby monitor, and the nightlight is turned off prior to commencing this process.
1. Remove the power supply from the baby unit.
2. Remove the battery pack from the parent unit. If using individual batteries, leave one in the parent unit, but remove the second.
3. Press and hold the power button on the baby unit whilst connecting the power supply to the unit.
4. Hold the power button until the stars start flashing. You are now in registration mode.
5. Immediately hold the power button on the parent unit whilst inserting the battery pack or second battery.
6. After approx. 3 seconds the red light will flash quickly. Release the power button.
7. The units should now be linked.
Both of my hand held part of the monitor that you put in the charger have stopped charging. The red light goes on at the base of the charger but the they won't turn on. The green light that usually appears when charging doesn't come on.. Does this mean the rechargeable batteries need replacing? I love this monitor and need it to work?? Help
Hi Kmacca79, It sounds like it may be your battery. Batteries, even rechargeable ones, have a lifespan which can vary depending on use. We recommend that they are replaced every 6-12months or when you notice they are not holding their charge. If you would like to give our customer support team a call on 02 4574 8888 or 1300 889 785 we can help to make sure this is the issue and advise on what replacement battery to source. Best regards, Oricom Baby Care.
What's the range like?
Hi Kelly477899, Range may vary depending on the environment in which the monitor is operating and may affected by such things including the construction of your home. You can expect up to 300m in ideal conditions. Best regards, Oricom Baby Care
Hi,
My baby monitor oricom 200 has suddenly stopped working. The baby unit (the one which plays the lullabies etc) is frozen; the lights are constantly on and the display screen is on but is blank i.e. does not display the temperature etc. I cannot even turn off using the on-off button. Nothing seems to work. When I turn the unit off and then on again at the main power plug, the same happens- a frozen screen with nothing on display. The parent unit has been beeping non stop, indicating it isn't link to the baby unit. Could you please advise. Thanks.
